I suggest to anyone who's planning to come here to stay away. I had been curious about it since I saw it during a drive with a companion and I finally satisfied my curiosity. After looking at the Christmas lights and display at the Silay City Public Plaza, we headed to Cafe 1925 to have some light chow. We ordered fish and chips and a tres leches cupcake. The latter was too small for 65 pesos and tasted like a macaroon with a creamy and soft center. We waited a long time for the fish and chips. I was excited for it, however, because it looked well-fried and crispy. But one bite of it was enough to tell me that this place is not worth coming back to. The fish sticks themselves did not have their own taste, like they did not have any seasoning at all. I had to keep dabbing it on the mayo and mustard dip for flavor. And the chips were just supermarket bought. I should've expected this but I was hoping for some real potato chips. Maybe I was thinking that they could be up to par with the fish and chips offered by Le Chalet in Dumaguete City. Also, I expected something old, since the it was built in 1925 afterall. But no. The house behind the cafe was the one that was built in 1925. The cafe itself was just a recent addition and did not reek of the 1920s at all. Though I found their geometric pattern tiles to be quite charming.

4/5 stars for now! I came to try their Beef Stew and Lasagna but was disappointed when the waitress told me that some of their food were not available including the dishes I came for. I opted to try the Chicken Salpicao, a safe choice at that time. It was good and the serving was quite okay. I then had Pesto with Dried Fish to-go for my snack. The pasta was amazing! The pesto was not too strong and the dried fish gives this crunch and texture to the plate. It was definitely the star of my experience at Café 1925 but I will surely be back to try out their menu.

Pastas are great. Full course meals are good too. Serving is enough for two pax. Best for snacks between lunch and dinner. Sweet tooth? No problem. Cakes and pastries are one of the best in Silay City. Very cozy and the personnels are very friendly. Serving time may take a while. Might need to wait a little to be seated due to limited seats caused by the pandemic and LGU's policies. Over all, highly recommended and a go to place when in Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Gorgeous desserts and great coffee! A great find for us while killing time to get to the airport for our flight. Would love to return to try out their mains as we already ate next door at The Mansion, which was a mistake. Nice cozy cafe with a slick interior!

Salpicao & hamburger steak was excellent. The dishes both came with lots of salad and rice. Only complain was the spicy chicken wings was undercooked but spicy sauce was delicious.

It was a lovely, chic cafe my friends and I went to. They have a wide range of food served to the public. My friends ordered salads, mojos, blueberry cheesecake, iced coffee, calamansi juice, and more. :) The place is small but that's just a minor thing. Just enjoy and relax!

Good food and cofe shop, a little pricey but worth it. Small place but still good. Very accomodating staff. Try a zip brewed cofe and feel the homey chill ambience of this place. Cheers

Never had a coffee served hot in a wine glass.... 👌 Small but cozy place to pass the time. A must try for visitors of Silay.

Terrible coffee, so tasteless, I mean who puts a hot coffee on a wine glass? Okay I appreciate the decoration but what’s the point of having a coffee if it’s tasteless? Overpriced, no Wi-Fi! Service is okay! The desserts are okay too ordered butuan bar and calamasi cheesecake, but I wanted some coffee and their coffee is really bad 😭😭😭 I was only looking for a place to work around silay they didn’t want to share their Wi-Fi with me. I’m very disappointed 😔

Location is set around antique houses. It's like time travelling back to the past. Place is charming, and the food and coffee are simply delicious! One shouldn't miss going to this place when in Silay City.

They serve delicious Silay Siomai and they are one of the many who knows a true KBL. I love their food, the ambience is just right. I always stop by this place whenever I go home in Bacolod.

This quaint cafe offers great ambiance & good food for small groups..They have wide variety of coffees, pastas, desserts, pastries & Silay products..Their chicken pesto & chili garlic pastas are my favorites... Parking space is just along the road..It is accessible, that is very near to the main road...

good batwan bar: nice balance of sweet and critrusy. whipped cream, and crust adds appropriate textures to the dessert

👍 This Cafe is a relaxing dining place with a view of the lowlands and the mountains. It serves as a destination for mountain-bikers /cyclists or simply as a meal stop for bikers bound for Lantawan or Patag.

👍👍 Nice place especially if you’re vegan. They have vegan donuts and cookies. Place is small but definitely cozy and worth a stop if you’re exploring the ancestral houses in Silay.

👍👍 I loved the vibe and learning about the history of Balay Puti. The chef even thanked us for visiting. Silay City has an eerie vibe but it leaves you curious about its history, particularly the ancestral houses.
