This place suits best for nature enthusiasts. You can try trekking through the rainforest then to the hidden falls. Just watch your step and the leaves because there are leeches lurking along the way (not to scare you in any way though). There's bird watching too.

No canteen or Cafeteria in the aeea. You have to bring your own food. Entrance fee of 50 pesos per person. 30 pesos for motorized vehicles. You can enjoy very cold spring water bath from the falls.

The place is beautiful and perfect if you want to enjoy nature. It is located 20 kilometers from Victorias City. You can cycle your way here but the altitude of the place is a major consideration. The place used to be better as trees were more numerous before but last 2019, probably hundreds of trees were cut down. This caused a massive flood to happen a year or two later whenever it rained. I'm calling out the local government unit for allowing this to happen and I appeal to them to be more vigilant and assertive in their efforts to replant all the trees that were cut down. Shame on the local government for the damage they have done to Philippines' ecosystem.

Without map or tourist guide, it is difficult to know where the falls, bird sanctuary and other sceneries are. Victorias City LG needs to further develop this park. Entrance fe is Php90 per adult but againz w/o tour guide...

Paying P90.00 for entrance fee in Gawa-on Eco Park comes a long way from Gawahon I have known since the early 1990s when the approach road (if ever it could be called one) to what is now the entrance ark was a stream with abundant ferns on its side. The Gawahon Forest, especially around the Quinaruyan was a dripping mossy forest made accessible by a network of decaying logging roads and hunter's trails. I have seen its waterfalls beyond the Seven waterfalls. Attempts to tame its wilderness with a concrete road leading to the First Falls and a brick-and-concrete trail to the Twin Falls, not to mention the lodges and gazebos, is a steady encroachment into the soul of Gawahon which used to be known as Alipo-op (meaning "a fog") long before Sawmill #7 (now the site of the Gawahon Proper) came into existence. Frankly, I am not against any development in Gawahon for as long as it doesn't infringe on what is the enclave of the wilderness areas. I find the Okinawan House lovely and I may come later to see the Bee Sanctuary which is undergoing construction when it is finished. Overall, I want to say my piece of unsolicited advise - allow some Nature lovers in Gawahon to to enjoy communing with Nature in a manner wherein they could practice the two virtues of mountaineering - independence and self-reliance. They deserve to be treated as responsible adults who are aware of the risks involve and may even find a local guide as no insurance to safety. After all, someone just get killed while sleeping on his bed when a stray bullet pierced the tin roof over his head and went straight to his skull.

The park is situated in a strategic spot in the highland hills of Barangay XI, offering an overview of the lower plains and Victorias city. The park features seven waterfalls but I was not able to recent rainstorm damage. Eco Park is found at the northwestern part of Mount Silay, which is in the upper half of the vast North Negros National Park. Hobby photographers with semi and professional gear are everywhere. As soon as you leave your car, you’ll feel the cool breeze and the scent of trees around you. The sounds of forest creatures and water streams can not be ignored. This is an experience to be shared with friends. Gawahon Eco Park may not be an Oasis, but that can easily be argued. Except for driving trails and walk paths, this place is ancient and untouched by technology. In short, this is one of the Green Paradise of Negros Occidental. Cottage or picnic hut, Php300.00 Large multi-purpose hall, Php1,000.00 Villas and suites (Php1,200.00 to Php2,000.00 per day) Or you can stop by just for lunch or a picnic. There is a small entry fee. https://www.youtube.com/@silayan2008/videos https://youtu.be/QkyQZcrIdjE

Charged for parking on a Monday at 10:30am. Drove all the way to the end to park and no available parking places. Wasted parking and Entree fee for 8 people. What a waste of time and money. We live in Victorias City first and last time we visit here. Don't waste your time.

This is an amazing place for adventure. We stayed overnight with family in the apartment and bahay kubo. The bahay kubo is all bamboo with 2 bedrooms. Nice and breezy. The apartment was below the pavilion and had two queen sized beds. The Gawahon mountain air is just the perfect cool temperature in July and the spring fed waterfalls and swimming holes are refreshingly cold! Don't miss this paradise when in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, Philippines
