Before coming here I thought Grand Canyon was all hype. I was wrong. Pictures truly don't do this place any justice. You will have to come out and see for yourself how grand it really is. Would recommend planning on camping if you want to make it to the bottom since the hike can get pretty tiresome for those not used to steep declines on the way down and incline on the way up. Went during March and there was still compacter ice on one of the trails to the point where we had to turn back and take a different trail down. Would be a good idea to take hiking boots with spikes if going during winter and early March. Plan for shuttles to take long during peak times. We went during spring break and shuttles to take us back to our car after long day of hiking took about 1.5 hours which we knew going in but a lot of people waiting in line were getting uneasy and rude to each other. Bring water and snacks with you. They do have gift shops with snacks and beverages but to avoid waiting in line you might as well pack your own. Overall great time here!

The most amazing hole in the ground that ever was. I've hiked 15+ miles in and out multiple times and seen some wild things in there, majestic, creepy, sad, beautiful, psychedelic and unexplainable. It really is a special place and glad the Native Americans still have at least a slight foothold here because this is for sure their land and I'm honored I've gotten the opportunity to visit on multiple occasions.

Ethereal and timeless in its majestic serpentine trek South to the Border. No, it's not big and mighty as once upon a time. Yet it's still an impressive sight to behold. Regal in its sovereign control of all life held firmly within its high canyon walls. Beautiful in all its desert vastness. Sit and breathe it in. You are nothing more than a speck of sand upon its shores. A mere ant to be forgotten despite your hardest labors here on Earth. Still, it will venture forth. Long after you're gone. Carrying the life blood of the southwestern desert and the United States of America with it. Be kind to it, others will follow my friend. Just like you and I. Once upon a time.

One of the most iconic and famous places in America and one of the wonders of the world. I went here on the month of December 2023 for the first time and it isn’t very crowded unlike the summer. It’s also cheaper to visit in the winter and it is more cool. I feel like I can connect with the awesome-inspiring nature and landscape better without such a large crowd. I really enjoyed my time hiking, catching the sun rise and set, and sightseeing here and I’m looking forward to coming back to this marvelous place in a few years. The Grand Canyon is such a wonderful place and a camera can’t do justice for how breathtaking the view is. No words can describe how amazing the Grand Canyon in all its glory is and you need to visit for yourself. The river cutting through rocks of beautiful shades of gold and the surrounding greenery combined with the blue sky makes quite the perfect and unique contrast. The Grand Canyon is definitely a place worthy of bucket lists and one you must see before you die!!! It is absolutely so gorgeous and serene here!

Pictures just cannot show the depth and size of the canyon. It's a magnificent spectical. We did both the north and south rims. The north rim is much different. It's a good drive from the south rim - 4 to 5 hours depending on stops. But the scenery along the way is amazing. The Navajo bridge is a must stop. So is the Jacob's Lake Inn. Cookies to die for. The drive keeps the crowds away. The South rim is a lot more busy. Hint: take the tram to Hermit's Rest on the West end of the park and hike the rim trail if you want views very few others see. Also, the east end of the park is much less crowded and no less spectacular! But, you have to drive rt64 east to get to the overlooks. If you want some extra hiking off the canyon, take the Arizona Scenic Trail. We heard bull elk calling, had cow elk walk right up on us while eating lunch on a fallen tree, and took photos of four massive mule deer bucks as the foraged for food. They are protected there and know it so they won't run from you. Just keep your distance. It's a great off canyon hike to get a taste of additional scenery.

Hiked the canyon rim to rim. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Pictures do not do it justice and you need to get in there to really take in the grandeur and depth of it all. The campsite is very commercialized with numerous facilities such as a supermarket and shops alongside the museums.

This is a phenomenal once in a lifetime experience!! The Grand Canyon Whitewater rafting company is the way to go. Excellent, experienced, friendly and professional river guides, PHENOMENAL top notch food, well prepared. Comfortable cots, professionally cleaned sleeping bags, pillow and sheet. Great ahead of time videos to help you prepare for the trip. Must love camping. Great hikes, amazing views.

One of the best scenic places I have ever visited; grand and majestic. I visited on sunny day of June with around 80F, clear skies, little windy, and few clouds. It was a perfect day to view the beauty of Grand Canyons. There are multiple ways you can visit the park, but I chose to take the free train which takes you to different view points. You get off from the train, walk to the point, and then take the train again to the next point. I thought it to be more efficient way to view the park because it saves time to park, get in and out of the car. Due to taking the train, I was able to view almost 5 to 6 view points. I suggest to spend at least two days at the park. You can use a day to view different points and next day you can take the scenic drives around the Grand Canyon Village. For me the best points were those from where you can see the Colorado River. Since it was a clear sunny day, I was able to easily spot the river though it is way down from the view point. Few things which you should have with you at the park - A hat or an umbrella to avoid sun. - Sun block cream or lotion. - Sun glasses. - Plenty of water. - A stick to help you if you want to hike some trail

This was one of the must see places me and my wife had while visiting Las Vegas, it did not disappoint! From Vegas it turns out to be around a little over 4 hours, but it is a drive that’s worth it if you leave early. If you also plan on seeing the Grand Canyon you want to give this most of your day, just a forewarning. This drive is a haul and once you arrive you find out that you’ll sit in lines for quite a while to get to a place where you can park. Remember it’s the Grand Canyon so there will be lines for everything. Once you park it’s pretty much following the signs. There is a pretty big visitors center and gift shop with some pretty cool stuff inside. Also, remember what you’re here to see, nothing can prepare you for the experience. I was awe inspired and breathless upon seeing it and I was glad I did. My children loved it and instantly wanted to take pictures towards the edge, so make sure you watch you’re. There are no guard rails once you start going down the trail and that became a point where I had my kids at my hip. My children are 21, 20, 15, 13. Trust me you will be glad you know this information going in! Definitely worth seeing

One of the most beautiful and amazing places I have been in the world. It is like nothing you have ever seen. It is hard to imagine how beautiful it is until you are standing there seeing it for yourself. You have to go! There is an admission into the park, but it work every dollar. The facilities are clean and the people that work there are super friendly. I would highly recommend going to the Grand Canyon sometime in your life. The last time I was there, I was 12 years old. This time I really appreciated it and will never forget it. 😃😃

You can drive through Hermit Road in winter, it's quite an enjoyable experience. In other seasons, you can only take shuttle bus or hike. South rim view point is super close to visit center, so this is a quite easy accessible national park.

Almost too grand for words! A truly great wonder of the world! Our April trip allowed us all the beauty without the summer crowds! We enjoyed hiking and shuttling along the rim, stopping at all the vistas, and even catching a lovely sunset. Driving east out of the park on Desert View Drive was equally as beautiful with numerous stunning overlooks as well as amazing views from the Desert View Watchtower - a must see! Definitely worth the drive.

Beautiful place! I can't wait to go back! So much to see and never enough time! I recommend this whole park for anyone, especially if you have never witnessed the awe-inspiring experience of such beautiful views. So pack a lunch and or dinner, load up the kiddos, and the love of your life! Or just some friends! Get your butt over to the Grand Canyon! Don't let the sun set on your opportunity! Life's short don't miss your chance! Happy hiking! 😊

I mean, like what do you even say? It's the Grand Canyon; if you haven't been you should go, and if you have been you should go again. But like seriously, probably the most awe inspiring sight I've ever seen. I couldn't quite comprehend the vast complexity of canyon with the short time we spent there, but to be honest, you could spend a lifetime at this canyon and probably still not see it all.

So so so fun!!! I loved getting to explore and see all of the outlooks! I stayed on site and stayed out all night to see the sunset and stars. Definitely worth the trip and the time we spent there. Make sure you check out their little grocery store market. They had plenty of neat options and cool foods.

Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking national park! The views from the many different overlooks are all stunning, all of the different trails within the park offer a great view, different levels of fitness needed for different trails. We only had one day to explore the park, not including the drive there and back, but a lot can still be explored in a short amount of time. Definitely worth the visit!

Was a dream of mine to come and visit and I enjoyed so much seeing this ci hon with amazing landscapes. I love it. Restrooms were clean. Water taste really good here. The visit center has kid’s passport and stamp for all national parks with map. My kids loved it. If you bring stroller be careful because roads to the rim is very narrow and you have to carry your toddler without stroller.

Like I was saying, Grand Canyon is truly an astonishing place; a lot of nature and animals I saw there! It's wild to think how nature could form such breathtaking views and unique forms! Definitely recommending to visit when it's spring and summer, since it is the best weather during those 2 seasons!

Visited Grand Canyon National Park in the month of August. Enjoyed the magnificent view of the Canyon both during Sunrise and Sunset. There is spectacular view of the entire Canyon range as the sunlight slowly falls on the Canyon. The Canyon has utmost geographical importance in the world. The beauty of the Canyon can never be explained unless one can personally visits this unique geographical and natural marvel. Visiting Grand Canyon is a life time memorable experience of this great natural beauty particularly during sunrise moment. Wish to visit Grand Canyon again and again.

The views were spectacular. The sunsets were gorgeous. It does get busier during this time but I think that’s just because everyone wants to see the sunset. This should definitely be on your bucket list. You won’t regret going.

Really beautiful! a bit of a walk, high elevations so make sure you bring water and snacks; kind of confusing your first time around since there’s so many different places to go to but on the bright side of the entrance ticket is the one time purchase and lasts you an entire week

Visiting the Grand Canyon is like stepping into the world’s coolest outdoor museum. Imagine rocks as old as dinosaurs, insane cliffs, and colors that change faster than a mood ring. It’s like Mother Nature decided to show off and created this massive masterpiece that leaves everyone standing at the edge, jaws dropped, and minds blown. The views? Absolutely epic! Every spot along the rim feels like the best seat in a 3D movie theater. One minute you’re at Mather Point getting those classic canyon views, and the next you’re at Yavapai Observation Station feeling the vibe of the rocks and the wind. It’s not just about looking at a bunch of rocks; it’s about feeling super connected to the planet in a way that’s kinda hard to put into words. And if you’re into adventures, this place is like a giant playground. There are trails where you can hike and feel like a real-life explorer, finding all the cool, hidden spots of the canyon. It’s not just a walk; it’s a full-on adventure where every turn has something awesome to discover, like secret caves or ancient fossils. So yeah, the Grand Canyon is not just another tourist spot. It’s where you go to get mind-blown by nature’s epic movie, with every look being a scene filled with the craziest colors, rocks, and views that seem to go on forever. 🌄🚶‍♂️🌵

As I stood at the rim of the Grand Canyon, I was instantly mesmerized by its breathtaking beauty. The vast expanse of colorful rock formations stretching as far as the eye can see is simply awe-inspiring. The Grand Canyon offers an unparalleled experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Whether you’re hiking along the rim trails, taking a mule ride into the canyon, or rafting down the Colorado River, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The sheer size and scale of the canyon are impossible to fully comprehend until you witness it firsthand. The layers of rock, carved by millions of years of geological activity, tell a story of Earth’s history that is both fascinating and humbling. The visitor facilities are well-maintained, with informative exhibits and helpful staff members ready to assist with any questions. Be sure to stop by the Grand Canyon Village for souvenirs and dining options with panoramic views. Overall, visiting the Grand Canyon was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all my expectations. It’s a must-see destination for anyone seeking to marvel at the wonders of nature.

I had the pleasure of visiting Grand Canyon National Park in May 2016, and it was an incredible experience. The weather was perfect for hiking and sightseeing, with mild temperatures and clear skies. One of the things that stood out to me about the park was the variety of activities and attractions available. In addition to the breathtaking views from the rim of the canyon, there are plenty of hiking trails and guided tours to choose from. I opted for a guided tour of the South Rim, which provided interesting insights and historical context about the park and its formation. Another highlight of my visit was watching the sunrise over the canyon. The park offers several popular sunrise viewing spots, and the colors of the canyon as the sun slowly rises are simply breathtaking. I also had the opportunity to hike down into the canyon itself, which was a truly unforgettable experience. The trail I chose was moderate in difficulty and provided incredible views of the canyon and its unique rock formations. The park is well-organized and easy to navigate, with plenty of resources and helpful staff to assist visitors. I found the visitor centers to be particularly informative, offering maps and information about the various trails and viewpoints throughout the park. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Grand Canyon National Park to anyone who loves natural beauty and outdoor adventure. It's a truly magnificent place that will leave you in awe and wonder, and the memories of your visit will stay with you for a lifetime."

Visited three times in 2 days. Two mornings and one afternoon. It’s a life changing experience. It is MAJESTIC. It’s mesmerizing. It’s spiritual. You feel so elated. Happy. Going through the forest we saw elk and deer and beautiful sunset. No picture can prepare you for the grandness of the canyon. It was cold. We enjoyed walking and watching. Couldn’t get enough

The Grand Canyon is truly a sight to behold! It is amazing to witness the grandeur in person; pictures don't do it justice. Amazing to think about the sheer scale of its size and formation over millions of years. We walked about 3 miles of the Rim Trail with two young elementary aged kids. Make sure you arrive before 9:30am if you don't want to wait in an hour+ long line only to find a lack of parking.

We took this trail to return from the Grand Canyon and had a wonderful hike back out! We started before dawn and experienced a beautiful sunrise while we took our first break. The temperature that day was 106 and this trail was shaded most of the morning. We hope to do this hike again!

The south rim of the Grand Canyon is an incredible natural monument! The facilities here are well run and extensive. They are also very crowded given the popularity of this spot. The Historic nature of many of the structures here is fascinating to say the least. If you're planning ahead, you may want to bring food that's easily eaten. The facilities are pretty well overwhelmed from a customer point of view most of the time. Of course the prices are a premium, all in support of the national park and it's profit making partners. Make sure your visit the Hopi house, it's all a gift shop inside. Inside. Items. If you're an active sort, you may want to get on the rim trail and begin moving around a little bit away from the crowd as a way to open your mind and spirit to the beauty of this place. What a wonderful treasure!

It was a wonderful and beautiful experience. It's interesting how you only see pictures of it in the books and see it in movies as opposed to actually being there. It is breathtaking and overwhelming to see Earth's creation. It is a trip that everyone should experience. There are actually hotels and restaurants about 1 mile away from the entrance for those that would like to stay overnight and experience the sunrise and sunsets. Beautiful little town.

Amazing views. They are dog friendly but I suggest you don’t bring your pup if you can help it. Enjoy the wonderful views and make lifelong memories with the ones you love, and hey if that’s your pup then so be it. Just a lot of people, lot of dogs and lots of distractions for a dog.

How could you give this any less than 5 stars? It's the Grand Canyon! And it's one of the most amazing places you will ever see. Pictures do not do it justice, it's that beautiful. If you can, hike down into the canyon. Go during the off season and on a week day. Trust me, you don't want crowds to ruin your visit. There's a shuttle bus system that takes you everywhere, except you drive the Desert View Drive yourself. There's really no good food options so I'd pack a lunch/snacks. Just do your research and plan ahead and you will have a great time!

What an amazing place. A lot of people forget about the North Rim. It is worth the drive. There are several rim trails to walk along and you have access to the North Kaibab trail that takes you to the bottom. We were there during crazy weather so you had to wait out the weather to get a good view of the canyon. It is beautiful.

One of my favorite national parks in the US because it has so many cliffs to sit at the edge and soak in the silence and stillness of everything . It’s a great place to take a break and to slow down from life. The canyons hold such an amazing view as it stretches on for miles in all directions. It feels surreal when you’re viewing it in complete silence away from the rest of the visitors or any distractions in general

A major life experience for me. Do take their shuttle bus for the red route tour. The route has several different viewpoints you can stop at. There are buses almost every 10-15 mins, so it's ideal to get down at a stop, take pictures, maybe have a snack, and boom, the next bus is there for you to continue on the rest of your journey. The physical map handed out to us at the entrance gate was incredibly helpful and laid out where restrooms, gift shops, etc. were located.

WOW.....just wow!!! Hard to put into words the beauty this place beholds. You have to see it for yourself but I have added a few pictures of what we saw that day. We entered on the south entrance and got to see the south rim trail and village area. It was in the middle of the week in late September but there was still a lot of people. So glad my wife and I could stop here on our journey. I strongly recommend visiting here in your lifetime. You will not be disappointed

Not much else to say about this because it’s self explanatory and I’m sure thousands of people say the same thing. This is a once in a lifetime must see and I urge everyone to see it at least once. We did a tour but we could see that parking was getting pretty tight. I would suggest going when it was opens to get a parking space. With the right angles, you can get snap some beautiful pictures.

We came during winter, and there was a perfect balance between the red rocks and the white snow. All viewpoints were easily accessible, and for the more avid hikers, you can hike from rim to rim. Highly recommend this place, especially in the winter where you can get away from crowds.

This is an amazing beautiful Park. There's no way of describing how overwhelmingly beautiful this park is. I took hundreds of photos and it still doesn't represent the beauty of this park. I am looking forward to coming back with my family and I recommend that my friends and acquaintances go to see this unique and wonderful place. There seems to be something for everyone in this park. There is plenty to see by just driving through. And wonderful amazing hiking trails at all levels for all ages.

We enjoyed the Uncle Jim Trail but were a little underwhelmed by the overall experience of viewing the canyon from the North Rim, to be honest. Opening day crowds were reasonable. Point Sublime campsite was a major disappointment, but we had a good time exploring the surrounding flora and fauna.

Staff and bus drivers were super friendly and helpful. I visited winter and it was awesome. The crowds were smaller and it was easy to get to any other rails to get a full view of the canyon. Personally I'm going to try to find time to go back and hike the canyon. We did a little bit but not very much. Great place, worth every penny going in. I'll post a few pictures but you have to see it in person for it really to do justice.

My journey to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas, which took around 4 hours by car, was an adventure of a lifetime. Renting a car was a great decision as the scenic drive was a spectacle in itself. We opted to rent an SUV but an economy car is more than fine to see the gas. The changing landscapes and dramatic scenery along the way heightened my anticipation. Once at the Grand Canyon, We embarked on a challenging but incredibly rewarding hike to Ooh Aah Point. Hiking in the heat up and down the canyon was tough, but the panoramic views and the feeling of accomplishment made it all worth it. The breathtaking vistas and the opportunity to stand on the edge of this natural wonder were simply awe-inspiring. If you're up for a bit of an adventure and are prepared to brave the elements, this place is a must-visit. It's a testament to the beauty and power of the natural world. Highly recommend going! This is a once in a lifetime experience.

Awesome time at the Grand Canyon! We had snow for a few hours. Loved the whole trip. I recommend taking the tour than driving yourself unless you like it 🚗.

This is just an absolutely incredible place. There’s nothing like it. I can go on and on about how great it is but you have to experience it for yourself! Even in November it was an absolute beautiful day and I can’t wait to come back!

Nice visit. Few hikes but hard to spend more than two days. The restaurants suck. Easier to go into town for the price.

Grand Canyon National Park is truly incredible. The views are breathtaking and pictures don’t do it justice. Despite the number of tourists the park still maintains a feeling of wildness. Walking a short distance on the trail in any direction helps to leave the large crowds behind and makes the vistas more enjoyable. The trails are paved for the most part and very clean and well-maintained. It’s ubiquitousness in conversations of National Parks in the US might seem like a lot of hype, but the Grand Canyon truly lives up to its reputation.

This is my fourth trip into the GC in 11 years. It never gets old. Everything that could be said about this awesome place has already been said. Every possible picture has already been taken. They all say the same thing... GO VISIT THE GRAND CANYON!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT!! There is no place on earth that shouts more loudly... THERE IS A GOD!!!

After visiting the Grand Canyon almost every year for the last 32 years we finally saw a California Condor! Not only did we catch a glimpse of him soaring...but then he landed on a ledge right below the rim and posed for all of us for a long time! The GC never ceases to amaze me and to give me a sense of peace.

The Grand Canyon fills me with awe. It is beyond comparison—beyond description; absolutely unparalleled through-out the wide world ... Let this great wonder of nature remain as it now is. Do nothing to mar its grandeur, sublimity and loveliness. You cannot improve on it. But you can keep it for your children, your children's children, and all who come after you, as the one great sight which every American should see. Grand Canyon National Park is truly a treasure unlike anything else on Earth. Visiting the Grand Canyon during these uncertain times offers fresh air, perspective, and as much excitement as you're willing to experience. Grand Canyon visitor guide can assist you in planning a safe, enjoyable, and memorable trip of a lifetime. Your preferred mode of travel and accommodation preferences may determine which rim of the Grand Canyon you want to visit. There are essentially three main rims of Grand Canyon National Park - South, West, and North Rims, with the East Rim reaching out more towards the Lake Powell area, which includes attractions like Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. Traditionally, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon accessed through Arizona was the best way to see Grand Canyon.

The views are breathtaking. The most stunning image of the Grand Canyon cannot compare to seeing it in person. Very happy we were able to experience it over a few days. Beware the weather can be unpredictable at times: we had sunshine, rain, hail and snow in one day!

Magnificent views! Cannot out in words the beautiful. Loved ever second of drive through park. We did get into sleet and snow but it was short lived. Love the Grand Canyon

Hopi Point was a beautiful spot for sunset and Mather's Point was beautiful for the sunrise. Make sure to stay at least 20-30min after sunrise to see the light rays slowly light up the canyon and you can see the colors differently than during the day.

The views take your breath away. What a wonderful place. Lots of great hiking trails. We saw lots of wildlife. Elk, mule deer, sheep and squirrels.

What an absolutely stunning place the Grand Canyon is! I was very privileged to have watched an incredible fiery sunrise here, the third time I visit this place, and finally clouds decided to show up 👌🏽 It was very cold and Thanksgiving week, but it certainly didn’t feel as Crowded as I’m sure it gets during the summer. Still in awe about that fiery sunrise that morning in GCNP🔥🔥

Most wonderful experiences I had at a national park. If you take this adventure make sure you have more than one day to explore. This park is so well maintained it was like stepping in a time portal.

The Grand Canyon view was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The vastness and intricate layers of the canyon were beautifully showcased, creating a mesmerizing panorama. Whether at sunrise or sunset, the colors painted across the canyon walls were a sight to behold. Visiting this natural wonder is a must for anyone seeking a profound and unforgettable connection with nature's grandeur.

Great rangers at the entrance to the park. They are good and knowledgeable. Be aware the speed limits. They are in the park to protect you and the wild life. Especially in the evenings.

Been at this park many times, it is still magnificent and grand I love camping in the park, just a beautiful pace always very busy however.

What a wonderful place! Lots of friendly dear but don’t feed them. The views are spectacular and vast! We hiked 13.34 miles down into the canyon and we’re still quite a ways from the river. Would love to come back and camp hike! Lots of beautiful camp sites, restaurants and cabins to rent. I would recommend this anytime of the year! Family getaway or just with your spouse. Thank you to all the friendly park rangers and peaceful atmosphere!

An amazing national treasure. It’s our fourth time and it never disappoints. Northern rim is quieter but you can’t see the deep part of the canyon. Southern rim is crowded when the train comes in the summer months. Quiet in the winter. All seasons it’s breathtaking. All photos taken with an iPhone 13.

The north part of the park was fantastic. Beautiful views with a variety of strenuous and easy hikes. There were very few tourists in the north side of the park although I cannot speak for the southern rim. Avoid hiking from 10 AM-4 PM and don’t let the temperature deceive you.

Breathtaking views of the canyon. The south rim trail has some amazing scenery. Make sure to check the weather advisory before making the trek because it can be tricky during peak winter.
