Best freeride mountain biking in the U.P. If you're looking for the big stuff, head to the top of Benson and then keep on trucking along the fireroad past the Benson trailhead for about 0.25-0.5 mile. You'll know when you're there.

Rooster, Yah Hey, Doug's back 9, double take, zeugs's trail, doctor and Rock Bottom were lots of fun. They also have some easier trails for less experienced riders. Doug's back 9, Doctor, and rock bottom were my favorites. The single black/blue flow trails and most of the tech is fun, but the big double black Freeride trails, and the double black tech make Marquette a destination.

A nice trail system. The green trail was more difficult compared to the green trail I normally ride. It's definitely a good, interesting ride.

Pretty awesome! Good for beginners and experts alike. The double black diamond will require pads before you ride it.

Wonderful trails for all ages. Well maintained, nice grom loop and jump lines. Plenty of parking and ability to bike to waterfalls, Marquette mountain, downtown, or grab a beer at rippling river campground

If your up north around Marquette you definitely want/ need to go here if you love mountain biking like me. This trail head is not very hard on certain trails like grom but trails like Morgan creek get a little difficult but easily defeated. Morgan creek trail has such nice views there is a water fall actually two waterfalls and there really cool. Plus if you're thirsty you should cup your hands and drink the delicious spring water.

Fantastic trail system. Loved Down Dogger, Smiley, Freak of nature and even Rough Ridge.

Make sure you go the route of your biking ability bc the black Diamond and double Diamond routes are tough!

What a great day for snowshoeing!! Parts of the trail had been untouched since the last snow!! Get outdoors!!

Easy trails. But watch out for all the roots! Could be a safer cross walk between the trail and trailhead.

Since Marquette is no that big, the trail head is only 5-10 minutes from anywhere in town. The gravel parking lot is big. There is an open shelter with enclosed changing rooms that has a small, beginner pump track running by it. A few basic tools are chained to a simple bike rack. There is a large map clearly showing all the trails with their distances and skill levels. Unfortunately, too many people feel the need to touch it where this trailhead sits so thre print has worn off, making it difficult to tell where your tail starts. Speaking of trails it is a little bit of a bummer that a number of them start across a 55mph curving road, which means you need to be very careful crossing. As for bathrooms, there is a single port-a-potty. Tucked away off to one side of the lot is a cool metal sculpture of a bicyclist.
