We had a very educational tour with Patrick, who built this museum to remember his uncle, Don Samuel. The exhibitions include history of Zapatista movement in the 90s and life events of Don Samuel. It also has a room displaying all kinds of costumes by Indigenous people. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite museums. Love the mural by ANXEL. The clothing part of the exhibits is gorgeous. The history of working with social justice is fascinating.

Excellent chronological exposition of the life of one of the most important beings in the indigenous communities of Chiapas. Also, a general view of the history of the ethnic groups that live there. A beautiful private museum, very well maintained, in a natural environment.

If you are interested in the history of Chiapas, particularly San Cris and the Zapatista movement, this museum is a must. The creators have done an incredible job. It is one of the best museums I’ve seen for a small scale. Attention to detail, extremely well laid out, and they have an English language booklet guide as well. It’s in the area of the Walmart, very easy to get to there are beautiful grounds to sit and bring a snack or lunch. There is a lot of heartfelt care and attention in this place, do yourself a favor, and check it out!

A great museum in really beautiful spot. We enjoyed our tour, reading about the history, and looking at the photographs. I recommend for a visit, not far from the center of San Cristobal.

👍👍 A fascinating and delightful insight into cacao and it's history in Meso America. Our tour guide Mayaria gave an exceptional experience, chocolate tasting and answered all our questions. Time well spent, and worth every penny.
