I enjoyed my time here. Private room was nice with 3 beds. The kitchen was a nice touch with the free coffee. The reception service was good and the social area was next to the street which provided a good ambience. The location is great and there are some nice coffee spots nearby with a arty/hipster vibe. I met some great people here, which for me is the most valuable thing.

If you're traveling by your own be aware you'll only interact with your roommates because there's no common spaces, just a building with rooms and baths. Also be aware that rooms have this annoying code lock system which rings every time anyone is getting in so forget to have a pleasant night if you're unlucky enough and get annoying mates. Besides that, cleanliness and staff were Ok.

Very comfortable beds and a very lovely staff. Great location by the light rail and lots of cool cafes and vintage stores. A couple tenets refused to stop smoking in the bathroom which was annoying and the shower did not drain properly but those were minor inconveniences. Overall, a great value and I would stay again

Abdul and Ali were both great hosts and really made the place feel like home. They made sure to answer any questions I had about Istanbul and also helped me with getting a PCR test before going back home to the U.S. I really liked the midtown location as well since Taksim Square was only a 15min walk away and about five minutes to walk to the tram which made it easy to get to most spots in the city. Definitely coming back here next time I’m in Istanbul!

We opted for a private room with attached bathroom in this hostel. There was plenty of space in the room, and it was very clean. The bathroom was quite large. From our window, we had a great view of the street. Tophane tram station is located only 5 minutes from the hostel, which makes it a convenient location if you plan on using public transportation to commute in Istanbul. A mere 10 minute walk will take you to Istiklal street as well. The neighbourhood was neither too loud or nor too quiet. A supermarket is located just outside the hostel. The street has many cafes as well. The hotel offers luggage storage for those who wish to check out early and keep their luggage for a few hours. If you are a cat lover, you will enjoy the cats at the reception. A big thank you to the staff for providing us with excellent service. Overall, this hotel was well worth the money and would highly recommend it. Cons: Taking the stairs to the third floor can be a bit tiring. From Tophane station, you have to walk up a steep street to the hostel, so it can be challenging.

I stayed in a roon for three people on the third floor. the roon was clean and there was good bathroom. Breakfast was included and I like the atmosphere of the cafe.

Had an awesome experience at this hostel. Amazing value for money, great location for everything. The main people that run it , Ali and Hackan are super friendly and extremely helpful and excellent on what's best to do in the city and money saving ideas, try their local Turkish hammam bath it's amazing!! Will return one day, soon hopefully.

Got a little early but they kept my bag meanwhile, nice people, rooms with good distribution, clean bathrooms, near public transportation and at a walk distance to stores and İstiklal st. Beware of heavy baggage as rooms may be up high and the stairs aren't quite spacious

overall great spot! 24h reception, they let me check in early so I could shower after an overnight train which is always a huuuuge plus. also, they upgraded me to a 4 bed female from a 6 bed mixed dorm for free because the 6 bed dorm had 5 other guys in it. awesome free breakfast and they give you tea for free all day! only complaints - showers were very in and out warm and cold, and some of the guests near my room were super loud at night, the walls are definitely a bit thin. it wasn’t a huge deal but im not sure if this is a party hostel during the busier season this was my third hostel in istanbul and my favorite. also the area is perfect, it’s charming and feels like an awesome place where people actually live but is close to train and very quick to blue mosque, ayasofia, etc. There are some higher rated hostels in the sultanahmet area (very touristy, food not as good, things more expensive) but i’d stay here any day over that oh one more thing to note is the beds were comfortable here and very uncomfortable in the other two hostels (blue apple and neverland) i stayed at over two visits to istanbul

Fairly central (six stops to Hagia Sophia by tram) and yet reasonable in price. Well maintained and the free all day coffee & tea is great at the end of a tiring day out walking. Alican (pronounced Ali jaan), the host, is very helpful in all respects and plays some very interesting music, especially in the morning.

Common room isn't that great, outlet didn't work beside my bed and bed was also broken. Breakfast is alright and staff is very nice and helpful!

They guys running this hostel are amazing people. They were extraordinarily helpful. They helped us with car parking, showed us some cool places and are very animal friendly. Ali and the other guys are so nice, they gave very nice recommendation about restaurant, bar and what to see in Istanbul. We liked spend time with them at night.
