I used booking.com to book this travel. Because we were Working from Home in Turkey and stayed in this hostel for 4 days, we left some of our valuables in the room during the day while visiting the city. We found that some cash we had in bank notes, that was hidden, “disappeared”. When we confronted the management they weren’t helpful and didn’t try to provide any real effort to make investigate. The worst part really was that Atlantis royal hotel didn’t allow us to do the review on booking.com , as so we couldn’t share our experience there. I already wrote booking.com’s customer support to fix this.

The hotel is located in the historic centre of Istanbul. It’s a great location for reaching lots of attractions just walking. The design is great as well! The price reflect the quality, but I would not expect to be that low. I had an economy room which was on the ground floor. The room was extremely small, just a bit bigger than the bed, one wall had moisture and looked dirty.

Regret staying here for our Turkey trip. Here's why: 1. Located in a dingy lane with inaccessible pedestrian pathway from the main road. It is close to the main tourist attractions though 2. The staff at the reception were unpleasant to converse - were rude to us and their behavior was off-putting 3. The breakfast is not served in the same property - you walk to the adjacent hotel's restaurant for a very basic breakfast. The staff there as well were unfriendly and were unpleasant to speak to, when we requested for simple asks like an omelets, bread and milk 4. The bathroom shower area was clogged and we would not take a proper shower due to fear of flooding the room 5. There is a notice in the room that states- hotel is not responsible for any items kept in the room, if it goes missing. Google review of the hotel also mentions guests cash and other valuables went missing when they were not in the room. We put our room on DND and did not request housekeeping service for the sake of safety of our belongings

The reviews on this hotel made us book it however it is inside a very small street, the view from the hotel is of a broken down building. We were given a room on the 3rd floor and as soon as we entered there was an absolute horrid smell coming from the bathroom. We complained to see if something could be fixed but the staff didn’t really try to do anything. A guy came, just started hitting something and just used air freshener and left. The other staff can be seen laughing and snickering. It was very unprofessional. The smell remained and it was very hard to stay in the room with it always smelling like a sewage. The bed sheets were dirty and stained. We ended up checking out earlier to go stay at another hotel because it was such a bad experience.

A nice, comfortable, super clean, and quite place with helpful and polite staff. Mr. Ali and Mr. Jacob are very polite and helpful. Its near T1 tram line that you can access attractions whit. You may find some pictures and feedback about how to access rooms, and bad condition. But as I got it was temporary and now you can access to rooms easily through lobby using nice and super clean lift or stairs. I totally recommend it. My wife and stayed in the hotel for 9 nights. Room service is perfect. They cleaned the room every day.

Great place. Service was outstanding. Location is perfect to move around the tram and the main places of Istanbul (Santa Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace). Rooms are super in relation to price.

Avoid the basement room! Skip the breakfast option, no choise at all, only eggs and jam. Other than that, room is small but cozy and location is perfect for exploration.

We arrived when it was a rainy day and our original room where we expected to stay at was said to have leakage, but no worries--- instead of giving us a refund, we got something better: an upgraded room without having to pay the difference! Keep this in mind though: our case was an exception at the time, so don't book the basement room expecting for it to have leakage and getting a complimentary upgrade; maybe there won't be any leakage and you won't get an upgrade. (Same as if you paid for a small pizza but expect a large one just 'cause you added it in the notes for detailed customization.) Anyway, with this aside, the room was small but well lit and comfortable, the views were great (in our case); we could see the water at a distance from our window. There was hot water for approximately 40-45 mins, so if you have a family, that's great--- everyone should be able to get enough hot water for their showers. Since this hotel isn't cheap with its electricity, it unquestionably is a comfortable stay; it feels like home whenever you get back to it after a long day. There's also a soft purple scarf left towards the end of bed for decoration and sometimes, it's the simplicity that finishes off its otherwise basic appearance at an elegant but not quite overdone level.

Thank you. I would like to thank you this place and staff for giving me and my family a home for 2 days. Our room was clean and bedsheets were white and clean, no stains. Bathroom was clean and I actually wanted to use it unlike my previous hotel. Floors were clean. Room is not big and it didn't bother us. We got 1 room with 1 Quin bed and 1 couch size of quin bed. Plenty clean pillows to barricade sides of bed in case you child is sleeping and may fall. Bad smell comes from exhaust in the bathroom and I recommend to keep the bathroom door closed and turn on the air-conditioner. What can you do, all hotel buildings are old rebuilt structures. That's what you pay for being in the middle of Istanbul . Staff was friendly. This is my experience and nobody paid me for this review. I'm surprised though to see bad reviews.

Saw a few negative reviews here after booking so was rather worried what we'd find on arrival. However we needn't have been as it was all exaggerated. Yes the location of the street is off the main road and a somewhat dusty back street but if you want to be on a posh road then book an expensive branded hotel. Breakfast is provided at the hotel next door but was a good selection of Turkish foods as you'd expect. I'm not sure why others would consider that a problem. Atlantis was great for our trip but we are seasoned travellers who have been in many places. Rooms were clean and had all facilities. They aren't huge but we weren't looking for space as we were out a lot. There was a sofa to sit down at though. Only thing missing was supplies for tea and coffee although a kettle was provided. Location is central for seeing the main sights of Istanbul. Staff are helpful and arranged taxi from airport for us.

We stayed 2 nights there and it’s very nice hotel. The location is good. Both famous mosque sultanahmed and hagia sophia is 7 ministries walk away. Mcdonalds is 4 minutes walk away. Inside room is very nice and clean. The man in reception is very nice and kind. You can also do room service here for breakfast and food comes nice.

Great base for a few days in the old city. Adnan at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful with our room, where to get food, etc. that man deserves a raise. I’d recommend to anyone trying to see this area without breaking the bank.

The main thing it’s a quiet place and really clean. It’s near all the restaurants but you can sleep well cause it’s so quiet. Public transport is like 3 mins away. So one of the best places in this area

Good hotel, nice clean room. Comfortable bed...good sleep. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. Helpful and cheerful staff. Pity breakfast was not available due to flu issues but they discounted that part of my booking. Okay location for lots of sights.

Good Location is very close to all main attractions, walking distance. Bad Stayed 4 nights. DO NOT TAKE Breakfast: boiled eggs, 2 type of salami, 3 type of cheese, olives, butter, jam, cereals, bread. 4 tables x 4 persons, difficult to find a place. Second morning skipped and took something to eat from the city. Room was in a poor condition, with broken items. Receptionist tried to cancel my booking, and asked me to do another one (at a much higher price). View from the hotel is to a building waiting to fall. Dirty bed sheets.

Great location for historical attractions local stores and restaurants dining out was never an issue I would recommend trying the local Kunefe! I stayed in 3 hotels during my holidays, Atlantis was the best Hotel I stayed in during my 11 days holidays. The room was super clean the furniture was great and comfortable the air-conditioning was great. Mr Saeed and Mr Ali was very helpful and always trying to do their best to make feel comfortable during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel because it really nice hotel to stay and the location is very center. I was in two other hotels before Atlantis hotel, one them was "ottoman luxury hotel" and on the check out there was no running water in the toilet.

One the worst hotels I stayed in. When I booked my room it said city view, but the room I got was in the basement with a window looking into a dirty ally way. In addition the room was dirty and moist. The location is close to many things but hard to access with the hill. Staff were really not helpful.

We had amazing staying in the hotel in the beginning of May. Very clean, comfortable place, our room looked really posh. The manager and receptionist (Andrey) both provided excellent service. We visit many interesting places around the hotel, so the logistics was nice!

Great and budget friendly place to stay in an amazing neighborhood. Very lively and active during the day and great place to get some shopping done and also sightsee. Stayed here for a night the rooms were very fancy looking but small but no complaints. Unfortunately during my stay there was a baby next door that was constantly crying and would not stop that ruined my sleep and kept me up all night and morning. Would definitely recommend others to stay here.

Amazingly hospitable personnel, always ready to answer your question. Despite quite cold weather, room was comfortably warm and cozy. Fast and reliable Wi-Fi connection. Personnel speaks English and Russian, was kinda surprised by that. Huge thanks from Siberian guys!

Dont fall for all the scam activities they offer! We booked a boat dinner and it was so dissatisfying and the service was disrespectful we had to get off, our last night was fully wasted trying to figure out how to get back to the hotel from the other part if the town where we were left. Hotel’s location is not the best, rooms were clean beside couple of holes in the sheets and the towels were kinda yellow, the shower box was broken. Overall not good experience. It was not quite at all, the surrounding part around the hotel is very uphill and dirty.
