Great food, nice place and I can not find the words for the people, who are working here. Everybody is super nice and hospitable. This place is highly recommended, if you are in Istanbul. I will return as soon as possible.

My husband and I tried this place out when lots of other things were closed on a busy holiday weekend and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the service we got from the owner was top notch. It is easy for me to see why this place is so highly rated. I would strongly recommend trying this place out if you are interested in Indian food and interested in broadening your horizons a bit.

Amazing service! Food is made fresh, I asked for no onion and no garlic in my food and they were more than happy to accomodate :) We ordered the noodle soup and thali and it was delicious, felt like we we were eating with family. Highly recommend when you’re here if you’re wanting some nice comfort food that is healthy

This is a great place to have authentic Nepalese food! Portions are big and the food is delicious. The host was really welcoming. The atmosphere is amazing. Nepali Thali is definitely worth trying, but be careful, for one person it's too much of a food. I literally couldn't walk for 30 mins :D

All great! After eating Turkish meat everyday, we really want to change something else and we came here!! Food and service 10/10. We did enjoy our dinner and we’ll come back again.

Food was very delicious. Service and the owner was extremely kind and informative about the dishes. They served us free traditional herbal tea after the meal.

A good restaurant experience, where authentic Nepali (or Indian) food is cooked and served with love. The owner made the atmosphere very homely and treated me with kindness. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. I recommend the dumplings (momos) and tea ☕ Note: Some dishes take 10-15 mins to prepare but it's WORTH the wait.

If your into spices, then this place is a MUST visit while your in Istanbul. Its run by a Nepalian family, authenticity is only a part of the experience i'd say. I will deffinitely come back for more next time in town ✌💚

The owner is such a nice person, very hospitable and speaks englisch perfectly. We felt very well welcomed and even went twice during our trip to Istanbul. The momos and the thali are great but beware that it might be spicy for people who are not that much used to spicy food. He prepared everything vegan for me and even asked us whether we are vegan or vegetarian. Everything is also prepared fresh!

Dined here for lunch, and absolutely love it! I was craving for Nepali food while I was in Istanbul and that in general I haven't had any in awhile. I ordered the vegan thali and it was so delicious. I was so stuffed/full that I had to takeaway the dessert to eat for later! The thali came with tea and water too, and they gave me another tea later on. Rice could be refilled/added on without additional cost. The menu does detail the estimate time it takes to prepare and cook the dish. Many vegan options to choose from or request to be adapted. The thali was enough and made me full, so no need for me to order anymore. Really good service too! I will definitely come back if I ever return to Istanbul!

This is an excellent place to have good Nepali food. I took Himalayan vegetarian thali and loved every bit of it. The food is hot, served in traditional style and the team is very warm and hospitable. They speak good English and serve with a smile. Tea at the end is simply marvellous. Saw lot of non-Asian people trying the restaurant when I was there.

I mean this when i say that the dinner i had was one of the best in turkey, even though i love turkish food. The portions were very generous and the chilli chicken momo, the momo chicken soup and the curry were so fragrant and rich in flavour. Also on top of the delicious food, the family that run the restaurant offer such great and kind service. I wish i knew about this restaurant sooner.

Delicious food. Perfect place for vegetarians and meat dishes. Fusion of Nepali and India food. The owner and staff are very warm people and super attentive. Nepali people are the best for hospitality. Please visit this restaurant and support small businesses. Pandemic has put small businesses in tough situation.

Amazing family restaurant with such a pleasant host. He asked me how spicy I’d love my food and how hungry I am as I wasn’t sure what should I try hah. Also he was so nice showing me how to try eating it properly when I asked :) Was recommended to me by a friend and it’s best Indian/Nepali food I tried! Will definitely come again 🙏 Thank you very much!

Happy I finally visited this Gem in Istanbul. Delicious Himalayan food, clean restaurant, super friendly staff (great energy). Short walk from Taksim Square. I ordered the Spicy Momo Soup with Chicken + Ginger Lemon Tea. Will definitely return time & time again.

Absolutely wonderful place!!! The vegan nepali thali was amazing, all the variety and flavours were perfect, the customer service was excellent and the restaurant atmosphere was pleasant. The portions are huge and even if I had the thali alone, it would have served 2-3 persons. Thank you so much for everything!

The food here was absolutely delicious and all of the servers were really friendly! There are lots of vegan and vegetarian options and the menu is great because it details what is in each dish and even tells you roughly how long each one takes to cook. The portions are large so definitely go on an empty stomach! All of the staff had smiles on their faces and you could tell they genuinely wanted you to enjoy the food and have a good experience. I highly recommend coming here, it’s beyond worth it!!

The best steamed chicken momos I’ve ever had in my life. So good that we ordered a second serving at the end. Beautiful staff and great service. Very attentive the whole time and just a really pleasant meal where each dish was served separately so we could enjoy it for the individual flavours. Highly recommend. There’s a good reason it has such a high rating across so many reviews!

Warm & lovely environment with kind staff. You can experience good taste of Himalayan food and their calming music. Every serving meal amount is more than enough for one person. Also there are some extra beverages and candies after meal.

Incredible!!! Must try... The food quantity and quality is exceptional... Loved their service and hospitality. We requested chicken chow mein, chicken steam momo and mutton thali (It was mutton and not lamb, so +1 for that) You'll definitely not hunt for pieces here and the taste is just perfect. No service charges included, so another +1 for that Make sure you are ready to wait for 10/15mins after ordering cause the chef's do the fresh cooking there and there. Brilliant staff and a very social ambiance. Would highly recommend. Will definitely come back too Thank you Ujal and Rajan for your beautiful service and food especially.

Well i couldnt have asked for a better indian food in Istanbul. Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and the food was amazing. I ordered Veg momos, veg pakoras and choola puri (its more choola bhatura than puri) and everything was delicious. If i get the chance to visit Istanbul again, this will be my place to go for Indian food.

Be aware you will have a 20-40 minute wait because everything is made fresh to order. The wait is definitely worth it. Also bring a big appetite because the portions are pretty big. As almost every review mentions the owner is fantastic and very fríendly. Highly recommend, and we will be back a second time for sure!

Food is delicious and the owners are really kind and caring for the guests. I went with some friends and we got to try different things: every single dish was amazing and so tasty, both meat and vegetarian ones. We had a great time and i will come again for sure!

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend staying at the same hostel as I am, and I am very glad he told me about it! The food was delicious and the wait for it to be cooked really didn't seem that long to me. The owner is very kind, and I'm very happy to hear how well the restaurant has been doing. This is my first time having chicken biryani, as well as lassi (I tried the banana lassi) and I loved both of them!

I had an absolutely fantastic meal here tonight. The host was really friendly and great at recommending special dishes. He was able to tell me what was gluten free on the menu as I have Ceoliac Disease. Every dish we had was bursting with flavour and I would highly recommend.

It is a place where you can try the asian cuisine with vegan and vegetarian options. Pani Puri was my fav! Service was amazing, even the water is special. Some of the food will taste similar to Turkish food whereas some of them are completely different and not matches with the vibe but that’s ok. We paid around 500 lira for 2 people.

We went to this restaurant on the strength of the other reviews here and we were very disappointed. The chili momo sauce is essentially ketchup (see the photo), the "chocolate milkshake" is nothing but extremely sweet chocolate milk, the "fried" lentils and all other dishes lack flavor, and the portions were small. The only thing that was of acceptable quality were the noodles. We made a rather long trip to this restaurant because it has such unbelievably positive reviews, and that was a mistake. This is an experience I've had several times in Istanbul and so have come to doubt the veracity of these many many satisfied customers. The restaurant was empty when we came a little after lunch time on a weekday, a couple of foreign tourists came after us, but it is apparently not a popular destination and I can see why. We have no desire to ear here again. There are so many better options than this. It was overpriced and unremarkable at best.

It was a great experience the food was very delicious! We were a group of 7 and we ordered pani puri, chili momos with chicken, the chili chicken, and the spicy friend cauliflower ( I forgot the name) and they were all great. We also ordered the banana lassi and it was so nice! The owners are so nice and even gave us tea on the house :) and they have a cute pet turtle they let run around for a bit.

We had a great time at The Himalayan Restaurant, and their panipuri was amazing! It was the perfect mix of tangy and spicy, and we really loved it. The place had a nice vibe, and the service was friendly and quick. Definitely recommend it if you're in the mood for some tasty and authentic dishes.

Writing another review if I haven’t already. One of the best ethnic restaurants in the world. World class service and hospitality. Amazing food with vegan and vegetarian and meat options. The flavor profile is advanced. Hygiene is excellent with food. Unlimited steamed authentic basmati rice. Delicious curries and momos/dumplings. I come from far to visit here as often as I can.

😠 This place is extremely overrated, not even worth it, the food is salty like it’s out of the ocean, greasy and the meat quality is very poor, speed of service and restaurant are acceptable but the food and value for money are out of the window.
