He was a physician from Isfahan at the time of Shah Abbas 2. He migrated from Isfahan to Mughal India and became a successful physician reaching a rank of Amir with the name taqarrob khan in 1647 AD.

Hakim Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Isfahan, Iran. Completed in the mid-17th century, in the Safavid era, it is named after Moḥammad-Dāvud Khan Ḥakim (a court physician) who funded the construction. The mosque was constructed between 1656 and 1663 and retained the "standard four ayvan plan and a two-storey arcade" At the same time, however, it also bore a more simple structural pattern and brick and tile surface compared to the ones that had been erected under Abbas I (r. 1588-1629).

Hakim Mosque or Jurjir Mosque is one of the four porch mosques from the end of the Safavid era, located in the old Bab al-Dasht area of Isfahan at the end of Rangarzan Bazaar. This mosque was built during the reign of Shah Abbas II by his physician, Hakim Mohammad Dawood, on the site of the ruins of the Jame Deilmi Mosque of Jurgir or Sahib Ismail Bin Ebad Mosque from the 4th century AH. The inscriptions on the fronts and porches inside this mosque are dated to the years 1067-1073 AH and were written by Mohammad Reza Emami, a famous calligrapher of the Safavid era. The head of Jojir Mosque is located in the northwest of this mosque. Dilmi Jurgir Mosque was called "Jameh Saghir Mosque" and it was a beautiful and magnificent mosque in the second half of the 4th century of Hijri.

The Hakim Mosque was built during the reign of Shah Safi and Shah Abbas II and in the 11th century of the Hijri on the remains of the Jurjir Mosque. This mosque is a type of mosque with four porches, and the color and patterns of its tiles reminded me of the Great Mosque of Kashan. I visited this building in October 1402. I saw that it was being renovated and some parts were covered with scaffolding, but you could see the dome. Of course, the women's nave of this mosque is also very beautiful, but it was closed when I visited. You can enter this mosque through several doors, except during prayers. Most of them are closed. If you go to visit this mosque, be sure to visit the main gate of Jurgir Mosque.
