It worthes visiting at least once. A beautiful palace which was built in Safavid era in the middle of a big garden full of trees. I suggest you to read about its architecture and designs before visiting, then you will enjoy so much more 😍😀🤩

Hasht behesht (translation : 8 paradises) palace is a wonderful example of Persian palaces built as part of a larger complex with gardens and fountains. The palace is unique as many rooms and spaces have octagonal shapes or decorations. There is a beautiful and newly restored room on the second floor with amazing mirror work, and the main hall on the first level has a breath taking dome. While in the palace, don't forget to look up and enjoy intricate ceiling details in every room!

A must to see!!! Hasht Behesht, literally meaning "the Eight Heavens" in Persian, is a 17th-century pavilion in Isfahan, built by order of Suleiman I, the eighth shah of Iran's Safavid Empire. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, Hasht Behesht Palace will amaze you by its beauty and architectural design. Highly recommended!!!

Earlier it was a mesmerizing palace to visit and it still is, but unfortunately they don't care about anything and historical places are no exception to this rule. People living here were so lucky to have a such unique palace located at the middle of a garden near the most important part of the city at that time with all the facilities that were required. Have walk around here; it takes 6 minutes but worth it, no doubt.

Together with the bridges and the churches, this is one of the free attractions of Isfahan. And maybe just because of this, the palace is not well kept and you cannot actually enter it, as you can see from the pictures. The park around it is nice, with many flowers and trees.

Hasht Behesht (the Eight Heavens), is a 17th-century pavilion in Isfahan, Iran. It was built by order of Suleiman I, the eighth shah of Iran's Safavid Empire, and functioned mainly as a private pavilion. It is located in Isfahan's famous Charbagh Street. It was also the first modern school in Isfahan, it was called His Majesty's School (Madrese Homayouni). As indicated on its name, the two-story pavilion of Hasht Behesht was built on the hasht-behesht plan, that is a type of floor plan consisting of a central hall surrounded by eight rooms. The architecture of the pavilion is amazing, the murals, tile-work and ornaments are all breathtaking, and the gardens surrounding the pavilion give the place relaxing and calming vibes.

In my opinion, in the series of jewels in Isfahan, which includes Naghsh Jahan area and Hasht Behesht Palace, Chehel Soton mansion and Atashgah, and 33 bridges and Khajoo Bridge, Hasht Behesht Palace has a new bride order. Equally unobtrusive, beautiful and charming ... maybe one of the gates of heaven is the eight heavens ‌‌‌ ... Hasht Behesht Palace was built during the reign of Shah Suleiman the Safavid and in 1080 AH in the Nightingale Garden. After that, in the former Safavid capitals, Tabriz and Qazvin, there were buildings with this name, but now no trace of them remains. But the eight paradises of Isfahan with a world of imagination still remain. (Translated by Google) Hasht Behesht Palace was built during the reign of Shah Suleiman the Safavid in 1080 AH in the Nightingale Garden. After that, in the former Safavid capitals, Tabriz and Qazvin, there were buildings with this name, but now no trace of them remains. But the eight paradises of Isfahan with a world of imagination still remain. The palace is built on two floors and on an octagonal base with a height of 130 cm, the height of the palace is about 14 meters. The palace is surrounded on all four sides by four magnificent porches that provide the necessary and sufficient light of the garden to the interior space of the building. The building is in the shape of a cross, which is designed on four sides, four building units, and in total with the upper floor, eight separate units are designed. Each unit is organized with an architectural plan, decorative design and various interior spaces. The architect has turned the building into a thousand tui, which in this small space, especially on the second floor, has created very small pavilions and has planned to place it from a decorative point of view and use it. The north porch of the palace has a marble pool with a shallow depth called the pearl pool. The noon porch of the palace is also a waterfall-like process. It flows into a small pool below. The rooms of the palace are completely decorated with murals and mirrors, most of which were destroyed during the Qajar period. Hasht Behesht Palace has an octagonal design and attempts have been made to implement patterns and symbols of the number eight according to the name of the palace. As the number of building units is eight, the central pool is octagonal, so are the octagonal floor bricks. The rooms of its two building units are also octagonal. In the exterior, the palace has interesting tiled ornaments on top of the pond, some of which refer to instructive stories, some of which contain epic and national symbols, some of which depict scenes of hunting animals and birds, and sometimes mythical animals such as Simorgh.

The completed Suleiman the Magnificent is an example of one of the finest living palaces of the Safavid era. Mirza Mohammad Taher Nasrabadi, the author of Nasrabadi's memoirs, has revived the names of more than a thousand poets of the Safavid period in his memoirs and has also written poetry. He has written poems about the building of the royal palace of Hasht Behesht in Isfahan, most of which are the material of the history of the building of this royal palace, which was completed in 1080 AH. This is a really cool place with nice ceiling. The designs and paintings are masterpiece. When I went there for the first time, it was at night and was close, but this time I went during the day. I was surprised by everything that I saw there. Most part of the designs and paintings were gone, but you can imagine how wonderful and majestic was at first. I recommend you to visit this place. It is 10 minutes from Naghshe Jahan Square. You can walk there. I put some photos of this place...

Visiting this palace is a great experience and strongly recommend for those who are interested in history and Iranian architecture. However, when I was visiting this palace, I had mixed feelings. On one side, I was glad to see an outstanding example of Iranian architecture. On the other side, I was entirely disappointed with how badly this palace have been preserved.

brilliant architecture along with its design and decoration have made it a legendary palace. It has four different façades each one visible through a particular angle. There is also a garden around this structure from which not much has remained. However, a park has recently been established near the building with modern affiliations. Isfahan owes a great deal to Safavid Era and its kings. Shah Abbas, the first king of the Safavid Empire, selected Isfahan as the capital city. One of his decisions to make Isfahan a competent city for his empire was to build up a long street, Chahar Bagh Street (the four gardens), and develop some gardens in it. Sad to say, none of these gardens have remained excluding Chehel Sotoun Garden and Hasht Behesht Garden. The beauty of the garden is not fully left for us to explore however the palace is still a lively monument. The word Hasht Behesht used to mean “The Entrance to Heaven” in the Persian language. Hasht Behesht Palace was built in 1669 and for a long time was called “the most beautiful palace in the world.” In 1964, the garden was conceded to the Culture and Art Ministry of Iran. The magnificent tiling of "Hasht Behesht Palace" includes different kinds of birds, reptiles, and predators paintings on. This mansion has four different façades that despite their similarities are all unique. It may seem that the northern front view is the main façade but the pool in the garden suggests that the main façade is the eastern one. The two-story palace is built 2 meters above the ground level. The walls of the first floor contain paintings and fascia architecture. The second floor exhibits some rooms, windows, and doors with cachet design. In the middle of the hall, there is a marble pool called “The Pearl Pool”. The design of the pool is in such a way that the water seeps through its holes like a pearl. This palace was a house to the eight wives of Shah Abbas. Four of them used to live on the first floor and the four others on the second floor. The artistic and glorious decorative design of the building has made the travelers speechless through all these years.

We went to this palace today. Firstly for museums in iran non citizens pay about more than ten times the iraninan price. At this palace we payed 1 million riyal and upstairs wasn't even open. And almost all of the remaining art is at upstairs. When we asked the officer he said we could see from downstairs :) we can see the palace from outside as well why did we pay then? İraninans (ofcourse not all of them but most of them) are lazy and try to steel from you so be careful

The building of Hasht Behesht Palace is located in the middle of a large, green and beautiful garden named after itself, Bostan Haste Behesht. Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the palace, even at the scheduled time, it was closed without any announcement, which was sad, but this palace had beautiful architecture and beauty from the outside.

Location of Hasht Behesht Palace One of the two gardens in Chahar Bagh Street (the Four Gardens) is Hasht Behesht Palace and its garden. This spectacular historical structure is located in the western part of Chahar Bagh Street and across from Sheykh Bahaei Street. Reaching here by public transportation is possible by bus. Municipal Bus Station is the closest station to this palace. It was really gorgeous . I visited here at night and it seemed so mysterious . The building is 8 sided and has 4 main sides with its own respective view and design . The park where this palace is located , is truly big and very fresh . The walk from Naqsh-e Jahan to here is about 10 mins or even less . I didn't visit the inside btw 😁
