Isfahan art market is one of the oldest markets of this historical city. This bazaar has been called an architectural masterpiece and has remained standing since the Safavid era. The construction of the art market took from 1116 AH to 1118. This market has two floors. Its length is almost 200 square meters and it houses 78 shops. Today, this market has become a gold, silver and all kinds of jewelry and even rhinestones; This is the reason for this name. It is interesting to know that the art market had a different name in the past. Its old name was Mother Shah Caravanserai Bazaar, and with the passage of time, its name was changed to Art Bazaar. The bazaar and caravanserai (modern Shah Abbasi Hotel) were both endowments of Chaharbagh school. At that time, this school was called Shah Sultan Hossein, but today we know it by the name of Imam Sadiq Seminary.
