I am delighted to have come across this family restaurant whilst wandering around the Medina. There is a bewildering choice of places to eat in Essaouira but this restaurant is a gem. If fast food delivery is your desire then this is not the place for you. Everything is cooked fresh to order, so enjoy your waiting time with a glass or more whilst listening to the resident guitarist. The two sisters who are front of house are attentive and very friendly. It was such a very memorable evening.

We took a cooking class at Ramsess and we loved it! They had just the two of us and we went to the market and learned a lot about the history of Essaouira. Everyone at the restaurant was lovely and made sure we had the best time, the food we cooked together was delicious and we were given insight in to all the steps leading to the perfect tajine! They answered all questions and were happy to share recipes, for example a delicious Moroccan salad. We are so excited to now be able to cook our own authentic tajine at home and will always reminisce about the great experience while cooking it. Thank you so much for having us and making us feel so welcome!

Hard restaurant to give a review. The food was normal, nothing crazy. Fish was very good cook, I must say... But after 45 minutes of waiting ( we was the only one in the restaurant ), it's must... Very nice at the beginning, a little bit less at the end ... The dessert are nice but not worthy the price at all. We have to beg for it, and it went not full. We have to ask again and it's come. When it's time to paid, you have also to ask for you're money back. Because it's consider as a tips if not!! Without forgetting the forging to follow on Instagram and to leave a good review. Well that's done, for the review. Good I will not they that. The guy with the guitar is the pearl of this restaurant, good at cart and guitar, and always with a big smile ;)

We accidentally passed the restaurant and were kindly approached by the owner. It turned out to be one of the best "by chance" dinners. As it is a family restaurant and recipes are passed down through generations, the food was incredible. Its topped by the cutest old-timer decorations...the owners super friendly, so this restaurant gets big thumbs up and is a must try!!!!

This was the best meal I had in my whole 11 days in Morocco. Oh my goodness, I have never had lamb so tender in my whole life. The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful when it came to ordering food. The place is so coool and the interior is amazing. Incredible meal, incredible wine and the best service I’ve had in Morocco. Thanks so much

Really a 4.5 instead of a 4. I had the stuffed pepper and the zucchini soup and it was EASILY the best meal I've had in Morocco! The flavors are subtle, but very tasty. The restaurant is gorgeous and feels very authentic. The only issue was that the service was crazy slow, but the owner is delightful and made up for it with a complimentary top-up of the red wine I was drinking. I'll definitely be back and would happily recommend this restaurant to others.

We had an amazing evening at Ramses. Lovely hosts, lovely food and lovely interior. The entertainment started well, with some nice guitar music from an excellent guitarist and singer, but it became a very special night when he was joined by an amazing local female vocalist and a couple of other musicians who blew us away with their amazing talent. Let's not forget the food... a lovely well cooked sole with buttered vegetables, a lovely pepper farsi and a couscous with Merguez for the kids. Very happy to recommend this 100% Don't walk by, go in! Oh and be kind to the little cat we named Moustach, he was keen, but didn't get any of our food 😁

This was the best restaurant i visited when travelling across Morocco. The food was amazing, showcasing the Moroccan favourites with a twist by the Chef on each dish. The restaurant is a perfect introduction to the higher end of dining that Morocco has to offer, without feeling the stress on your bank account. Perfect for solo traveler's, i didn't feel alone for a second after being welcomed into this hidden gem. Live music was provided by a local artist, and the ambiance will most likely have you sticking around long after your meal. 10/10 - hidden gym, escapism and a well deserved rest from the busy streets of Morocco.

Super cool spot in the heart of the Medina. Run by two lovely girls. We had great food and even enjoyed live music. For those interested: they also serve alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend !

Two very welcoming hosts and a cosy setting in the heart of old Essaouira made dining at this restaurant a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, both singers were so talented and it was amazing value.

Excellent Moroccan cuisine, the best we’ve had so far since our arrival in Morocco a week ago. Personal service, home cooking and lots of thought put into the recipes. Simply fantastic.

👍👍 This is a legendary spot and definitely a highlight of my Essaouira experience! The La Couple Signature Drink (picture 1) is really good. 👍👍 One of the best places to go to for a chilled afternoon/sunset time! You’re on the beach, enjoying the sunset while listening to music, prices are fair, yes service is not the fastest but you can go to the bar and ask, that didn’t bother us too much. What you see is what you get :)
