This restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of Essaouira Medina had an intimate family feel. We ordered the chicken and fish tagine, which had great flavoring (compared to some other dishes we’ve had in Morocco) and the beef couscous which was very tender. Highly recommend!

A really, really, good place to have diner or lunch! It's very small and cosy and the food is wonderful! Very affordable as well. Had multiple tajines during my trip through Morocco, but this was definitely my favorite.

Hands down the best vegetarian tagine I’ve had in Morocco. Trust me I’ve had a lot! I also ate vegetable soup and I liked it a lot! Small and cozy place, very friendly and welcoming waitress and prices are good too! Only bad thing is that I had few hours left in Essaouira and no more empty place in my tummy :D

If you're in doubt choose this restaurant. The food was excellent, authentic Moroccan taste, the service was good, the decoration too. I'm totally coming back for sure

Tiny and Cousy restaurant, food is very very good, the tajine lamb with dry fruit was delicious. We also had two soups from the ones available and a very interesting Berber omelet! The lady who attended us was very very nice! At the tables next to ours they were having interesting dishes, we would like to go back and try also them!!!

Delicious Beef Couscous, we followed Google reviews and weren't disappointed. Thank you for making us discovering this restaurant gem at a reasonable price. It is a tiny family run restaurant with maximum 10 seats inside. From outside, restaurant is without pretention but food is homemade and yummy. Portions are large but we managed to finish everything! We felt like having dinner at a Berbere family house. Service is kind and very friendly!

Restaurant Berbere is an amazing restaurant. The location is pretty small but so cute and it felt so cozy sitting there. The food was so delicious that we had to go there again the next day. We had the vegetarian tajine and the vegetable soup and both was outstanding! The service was very nice and polite. It's just such an amazing and authentic restaurant in my opinion. Would totally recommend going there ;)

Eggplant salad as starter was great but pre made. Beef and verbale tangine was ok. Had better ones because the meat tasted squishy. Very authentic and low priced. However staff were not as friendly as used to from other morrocan restaurants.

We have found this restaurant by chance and loved it from the first moment. It’s very little but cosy and that is exactly what attracts you from the first view - you are close, in a certain way, to other guests and the personnal. The food was very tasty, marocan mostly, we especially like the Lentilles and Couscous with, of course, strong marocan mint tea. The personnal was also very kind and helpful with advices. Don’t miss this place once in Essaudira.

Very cute small restaurant with some of the best food we have and in our time at Essaouira! Our favourite one so far - everything is delicious and so cheap! Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby

Delicious food in this lovely little family run restaurant. Just 6 tables downstairs and a little kitchen above. Lentils to start and then chicken tagine with lemon. Both were terrific! Try this little place, you won’t regret it

Cozy place where you'll definitely feel welcomed. Staff is great. I recommend the Harira (moroccan soup) and the Beef and Nuts Tagine. It was the best tagine I had during my holiday in Morocco, the meat was so tasty and tender!

Super cute and tiny restaurant in a centuries old building in a small pedestrian street of Essaouira's beautiful Medina. Excellent food at good prices and quick and friendly service. Absolutely recommendable if you're looking for value-for-money.

a charming and cosy nook for local specialties with a taste of home-cooking and friendly hospitality. unassuming hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving only six tables that filled up quickly. we enjoyed a hearty harissa (Moroccan soup), Berber omelette as well as superb prawn tajine part of the menu du jour.
