Very nice and Cosy r estaurant with plenty of choices from the Moroccan cuisine. Cheap prices and probably the best food I had in Morocco or at least in Essaouira. I recommend it to everyone.

Lovely family-run restaurant. The food is delicious and much cheaper than other places in Essaouira. They prepare everything from scratch when you order, so you may have to wait a bit, but it's totally worth it! The place itself is tastefully decorated, informal and cozy. You'll see some cute cats walking around. They don't approach people, they just sit and chill 🐱There is a small terrace at the top, great if the weather is warm. The staff were very nice to us, very helpful and humble. This restaurant deserves all the 5 stars!

EASILY the best restaurant in the city in terms of taste and price. The Moroccan Tuktoukah is the best in the city, better than restaurants charging 4x the price. Each seafood dish is phenomenal as well, especially the tajine boulette sardine. The roof terrace is the perfect place to share the incredible cooking. Last but not least, Omar's kindness makes the experience one you won't soon forget. We were instantly hooked and were repeat visitors on our stay.

We had a great dinner at Chez Omar, We had 1 Harira soup, 2 tea, 2 lomb tagine with prunes, 2 bread and 1 chocolate crepe for 110 DH. It took a long time to get our food but we enjoyed the vibe of the Medina while waiting. I would love to come back.

One of the best tagines I had on my stay in Morocco (stayed for over two weeks). The staff is super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. The portions are huge and delicious! It was so good we came back again. We had the beef and chicken tagines, Zaalouk (egg plant salad) and chicken skewers. All super delicious. Don't miss out on this place on your visit to Essouira.

The best couscous I've ever eaten. This is the restaurant I'm going to look back on once i leave Morocco and wish I could have just one more time. Generous portions of meat and vegetables and a sauce to pour over it so that the couscous isn't dry and served by the nicest most gentle man. Price is unbeatable for how much food you're getting.

Great chef, superb taste, chill atmosphere and cozy sitting area on the rooftop. Nice to meet there with your friends or bring a family. Everything always fresh and delicious. Tea was great, too. My top choice was goat but beef was very tender and delicious, too

Amazing food at an amazing price. The zaalouk was to die for! Could’ve eaten here every day if we knew about it sooner. If you don’t like cats do be prepared to have a few lounging around your table.

Before visiting the wonderful walled city, we did some research on the cheapest places to eat, this eatery kept popping up un reviews and blogs, so they were our first destination for a feed. Not only did they not disappoint, out of our 14 day stay we ate here 10 times. Every meal was a delicious banquet. The menu choices are extensive with everyone catered for - several options for vegetarians for example. We were only disappointed we couldn't try more. Omar and the lady chef, are friendly and love what they do - this is on display in every single dish. The list of what we had is long however, the piccies attached tell all. We highly recommend this place as your first stop - this will avoid you being hugely disappointed if you only eat here on your last night!

This was my favourite restaurant in Essaouira. The owner doesn't speak much English but he is super friendly and the food is amazing. We were recommended to come here by a local and we are glad we were. Very well priced for quality food. Don't be put off by the lane to get there

Amazing value local food. Suggest westerners beware the salad as I think I got food poisoning here. Could have been somewhere else but I didn't heed the warnings about salad washed in tap water. The chicken tagine was amazing though!

Best Moroccan food so far with good price! Couscous, tajine and omelette berbère were perfect.

I have been here for 7 days and eaten here every day. It’s simply amazing! Cheap and so damn delicious. Get the lamb Tagine! You won’t regret it. Have also tried the goat cous cous, beef Tagine, Berber omlete, zoulaak, fish soup, sardine dumpling Tagine and berberry bread. It’s all amazing!

The food is really good. The couscous was great, the tajine also. Also prices are probably unbeatable. The only thing that is less great is the suroundings & especially the number of cats around... If this is no issue to you then this is probably one of the best places to go eat.

Amazing food (no matter what you take, take also the lentils) for a really good price. Nice and Good service, great hospitality. Big Portions !

You get very local food here for the best price. Nothing beats the price here. Couscous was awesome. Our fish tagine was uncooked at some parts so he discounted the price of that for us. But friendly service overall. Cats were entertaining.

Wow the food here is so tasty and delicious. We were recommended to come here,so glad we did. We ate here twice, every dish we ordered was really Wonderful, great flavours. The shrimp pil pil was incredible, lamb tagine, lentils, aubergine salad. The fresh orange juice at 10mad,was the best and cheapest we had in our 16 day trip of Morocco. Staff are friendly, the location sat outside in a narrow street, had all the atmosphere you could ask for,a really great place, still thinking of it,2 very memorable meals.

👍👍 This is a legendary spot and definitely a highlight of my Essaouira experience! The La Couple Signature Drink (picture 1) is really good. 👍👍 One of the best places to go to for a chilled afternoon/sunset time! You’re on the beach, enjoying the sunset while listening to music, prices are fair, yes service is not the fastest but you can go to the bar and ask, that didn’t bother us too much. What you see is what you get :)
