👍👍 Wonderful place. I came a bit early as I had skipped lunch after a long day. I was very hungry. The chap who owns it cooks everything fresh from scratch. I had the monkfish with garlic, parsley, and salad, which was magnificent. When I asked for a diet coke, instead of telling me he did not have it,... Wonderful place. I came a bit early as I had skipped lunch after a long day. I was very hungry. The chap who owns it cooks everything fresh from scratch. I had the monkfish with garlic, parsley, and salad, which was magnificent. When I asked for a diet coke, instead of telling me he did not have it, he hopped on his bike and was back 2 minutes later. Just an example of the service. Really well priced meal. Cannot recommend highly enough. Excellent service 👏

The food was freshly prepared and it was tasty. The service was top notch as we met the guy (musician) who was serving the dishes and explained to us the menu each one for our understanding and after dinner, he brought us to Gnawa music place where ladies were playing the instruments. It was a lovely dinner with the family.

Very tasty local food freshly prepared just before serving. Owners-brothers were very nice, friendly, explained us what dishes they offer and told us a little about history of their business. The place has good vibes and they play nice background music (blues?) Will come back to try other dishes

We did a cooking class with Marwan and it was the best way to spend half a day in Essaouira. He took us to the market in the morning to buy spices and fresh ingredients and walked us around the less touristy parts of town. He even let us pick what we wanted to learn how to cook and is happy to cater to any dietary requirements, making this class extra special. The brothers are so incredibly warm and welcoming - you truly feel like part of their extended family whilst breaking bread in their home. Cannot recommend it enough. Easily one of the highlights of our trip!

This family run restaurant captures all that is great about Essaouira. The brothers are friendly, welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home in their community and to have a unique experience with them. The cooking course they offer is fun and informative and involves a trip to the local markets to buy ingredients. The food is fresh, local and authentic.

Wow! I mean the chef is a big guy who knows food. I say this in the nicest way as the flavours was so intensely delicious, the ingredients are rich, and the freshness of the products is unparalleled to anything we ate here in Marrakech! It shows that the foo was made with love and desire to please which we really appreciated. We wished we could have stayed in Essaouira longer to try all of his dishes which I’m sure will be as satisfying! Congrats chef, good luck to you.

The food was amazing. A very simple place with a very small menu. These brothers are foodies. The ingredients were all top class. They are lovely guys and they understand food and flavors. Prices very reasonable. Don't miss it

Can’t say enough good things about this place and the brothers who own it. We came multiple times for the falafel and kefta. Food is delicious and well priced. The restaurant is cozy and the owners are welcoming and make you feel at home. Highly highly recommend.

Beside enjoying his good marrocanian kitchen I had also the cooking class with Marouan for Tajine and it was a great and very authentic experience. We went to the market with him to buy all incredients. You cook then by yourself under is guidance in his small cute and cosy restaurant. Thanks so much for that! 🙏🫶☺️

I had an amazing experience is this restaurant. First I was there for lunch and it was delicious. The staff was sooo friendly that I decided to make a cooking class also. The cooking class was really good and I cannot be more satisfied. I think that this is my favorite restaurant in Essaouira.

A true home from home! The brothers were most hospitable, the food was beyond delicious and the ambiance represented all of Essaouira…relaxed, friendly and personable. Tagines, grilled fish, classical vegetarian dishes … all were fantastic! I even got to try my hand in the kitchen. Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend this place 🙂

We first went to Chez Les Freres to check out the cookery class and discovered the super chilled vibes inside the restaurant. We met Marwan who took the two of us on a tour of Essaouira, visiting the old Jewish streets, museum and the oldest synagogue in the Medina. He took us to the markets and spice shop where we tried the Royal Tea. We then headed back to the restaurant to cook tagine, zaalouk and falafel. It was an incredible experience and so much more than we expected. The food was delicious and Marwan is an excellent guide and teacher who is very friendly and accommodating. We loved it so much we went back for dinner on the last night! Can’t recommend this family run restaurant of 3 generations enough!

Very cosy restaurant, friendly service, all food was well explained. Food was great, tasty, colorful. A bit piquant for us, Northerners, but very good. The only downside might be slower service if restaurant is full, but atmosphere is relaxing and you are happy to sit longer :)

We went there with a private group to get an awesome cooking class by Marwan. We started out shopping all the ingredients in the souks to then make countless different dishes. Everyone got involved and the food was delicious. Thank you so much Marwan, you can expect to see us again!

Superb experience. Dinner was outstanding, we had a delicious monkfish tagine, and sampled the monkfish cooked in garlic. Great hospitality, and very relaxed inside the restaurant with good lighting, would highly recommend

Just had a fantastic dinner here (calamari tangine). Food and service were great. And the place has a really nice, comfortable atmosphere with lovely decor. Much calmer than the other restaurants nearby. Makes for a very pleasant dinner.

👍👍 This is a legendary spot and definitely a highlight of my Essaouira experience! The La Couple Signature Drink (picture 1) is really good. 👍👍 One of the best places to go to for a chilled afternoon/sunset time! You’re on the beach, enjoying the sunset while listening to music, prices are fair, yes service is not the fastest but you can go to the bar and ask, that didn’t bother us too much. What you see is what you get :)
