Amazing little vegan restaurant. Huge choice of dishes at very reasonable prices. The best vegetarian tagine I've had in Maroc.

We were there 2 days for dinner. It was so good. Best tajine I ate so far in Morocco. A lot of dishes and all we tried were very good. I really like this place. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place! All dishes are 100% vegan. Owner only speaks french, but it's not a big deal. Menu is also in english. It's located in the corner of a quite square right in the middle of the Medina. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our food. Husband had a #23 tajine. I had the #5 burger.

A great deal of delicious vegan food served graciously. We had couscous with chickpeas and raisins, avocado salad, pumpkin tagine, and spring rolls, plus juices, orange and date, and orange and fig. For two people this was WAY too much food, but it was way too good to pass up, so we shamelessly stuffed ourselves and tottered off like baby hippos to enjoy the medina. The couscous and spring rolls alone would have been plenty, but dang that was good!!

I cannot rate this little restaurant high enough it should be 10 stars! On my recent visit to Essaouira I had a fabulous lunch here. The pepper and onion tagine was delicious as was the juices we also consumed. The owner was delightful and on leaving gave us a little bracelet which was a very sweet touch. My only regret was not finding it sooner. I highly recommend this establishment.

We came to eat here twice in one week. Even though its only my wife who is vegan, I really enjoyed the food. The spring rolls are delicious, the eggplant/mushroom tagine was very tasty and the freshly pressed juices very refreshing. Very relaxed service but a great place to people watch! Approx 100 Dhm per person

A wonderful little spot tucked away in a quiet courtyard. The food was incredibly yummy and flavorful. The man who served us, who I think was the owner, was so kind and even gave us little bracelets as a parting gift. Amazing vegan spot! Just go.

Great selection of different vegan tagines and the veggi pastilla was our favourite - super crispy and the filling was so tasty (seemed to be rice and mixed veg). Nice juices too, reasonable prices and good service. The offers are particularly good value eg lentil tagine and pastilla is a good size meal for 70MAD.

After reading all of the good reviews my pregnant partner and I were looking forward to eating here! Service from the man here was friendly and the juices were good. We ordered the cauliflower & mushroom, tagine, prune and almond tagine and the spring rolls. All tasted good at the time, however it did seem a little odd that the spring roll was served with Luke warm rice and pasta on the side. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and trusted in the positive reviews and ate it all up. We even went back the next day for tomato salad and moroccan salad and the chickpea, lentil and soybean 'burger'. The burger was very odd, essentially a warm potato patty with some other things mixed in, like lentils. Again we trusted the man and the reviews, and assumed that he was following good food hygiene standards. About an hour later, I started with nausea, cramps and vomiting and was then up all night with the same plus diarrhoea. My partner, who is pregnant developed much more severe symptoms a few hours later and became very dehydrated. All in all, I'm disappointed to have to write this review given that it is one of the few vegan establishments in Essaouira, and all the previous lovely feedback given. We deliberated long and hard about the source of the gastroenteritis and given this was the only place we'd eaten, that it must have been the spring rolls +/- the rice on the side.

Extremely tiny vegetarian/vegan restaurant with two small tables inside and a few outside. The restaurant definitely is a renovated house and the kitchen is literally a house’s kitchen with one guy cooking. It gives it a personalized, homey feel. He also gave some seasoned olives and sliced bananas for free as a starter. Spring rolls - large and thin crispy spring rolls that are more of a wrap than what you expect of a spring roll. We got the chickpea/spinach/mushroom ones and they were savory and not too oily. Falafels - not like the average falafel ball, it was made of a more potato-like texture of the filling with lentils and a slight crispy exterior. I would call it a potato bhaju rather than a falafel. Not as dry as typical falafels. Very tasty. Veggie burger - the drizzle was way too salty (like “extra sodium” soy sauce) and the burger was really just a potato patty with pasta on the side (no bread). Exterior was mushy as well. Not a fan. The “falafel” was executed a lot better. Tagine - the tagine was also a bit over salted but still quite delicious. We got the lentils and mushroom tagine. I prefer vegetable tagine over this type but that’s an ingredients choice, not a cooking issue. The owner obviously puts their own spin on classic regional dishes, resulting in mostly hits but maybe one miss. Ignoring the cheesy exterior, this is a GREAT restaurant for veg and non-veg eaters alike. Definitely ask for some harissa or hot sauce if you get the tagine, it elevates the flavor. I would recommend the spring rolls and the falafels.

A nice small place with a calm surroundings. The food was good and the person who runs was very nice. There are so many vegetarian options. I would recommend to visit it. The location makes you get away from the hustle and bustle of the streets.

Really incredible and affordable vegan food. We enjoyed the tajines so much that we came back another night.

Food was just ok, nothing out of the world - just standard stuff, nothing to write home about. I didn’t find the tables and the surrounding to be hygiene enough and the prices being charged for many main course items didn’t justify the taste or ambience of the place. Fruit juices were fresh and tasty, other food was very normal.

After traveling around Morocco for 2.5 weeks, this is by far our favorite restaurant. Dishes come with a good variety of vegetables. Amazing quality for very reasonable prices. Especially the menu combinations on the walls are of unbeatable value. If you like dessert the chocolate flan is highly recommended: great texture and not too sweet. The owner seems incredibly kind and calm. The location is fantastic as well, right in the middle of the Medina, overlooking a big and airy space with free live music in the evening from the surrounding restaurants. Highly recommended!

The waiter was no help. I asked him what’s good and recommendations and he said it’s all good. So I ordered a mushroom, eggplant, artichoke. And it’s not what I had expected at all. I also didn’t really like it. Looking at other peoples pics I would say he should have pointed me in a different direction. To be honest, I do think if I tried something else I would’ve liked the place better. But who knows. Nice view of square while eating. Also waiter didn’t check on me once after giving me food. Wasn’t happy with experience.

Delicious, so many vegan options to choose from, and a lovely staff! Totally recommend it! There are combos for a great price and enough for sharing between two people

This is a really great place to eat. The food is excellent, with a wide menu to choose from. Their pumpkin honey crepe is delicious, and in the photo is the caramel flan, which is also delicious. Thank you!

We went for lunch at Latifa's restaurant. It was soooooo good we came back fow hours later for dinner. If you're looking for a home made, honest and delicious cuisine at Essaouira, le Corail is the place to go! The couple owning the place is a very friendly and kind couple. Will definitely come back each time we come back in town.

👍👍 This is a legendary spot and definitely a highlight of my Essaouira experience! The La Couple Signature Drink (picture 1) is really good. 👍👍 One of the best places to go to for a chilled afternoon/sunset time! You’re on the beach, enjoying the sunset while listening to music, prices are fair, yes service is not the fastest but you can go to the bar and ask, that didn’t bother us too much. What you see is what you get :)
