Best middle eastern restaurant in Melbourne. A friend invited us to her birthday dinner at dukkah. As soon as you walk in, the place smells really good, so aromatic. The staff were friendly and helpful with the dietary requirements. They confirmed all menu is halal. We shared the cheese cigars, hummus, zaatar calamari for entrees and for mains we had the chicken shawarma tagine and the lamb tagine. The food was sensational. We loved everything on our table. The flavours and freshness of every dish was so good. We had both desserts on the menu, om ali and mango kunafa, both were to die for. What's really exciting about this place is that they have taken some of the Middle Eastern dishes to the next level. It's always exciting to find a new restaurant that still has such a tasty menu. We have been either dining in or ordering take away on regular basis since then.

I spotted Dukkah on the map tucked away in South Kingsville and it was absolutely worth the trip. The decor is great, service spot on, reasonable pricing and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. This is basically everything that I want from a restaurant and I'm looking forward to going back to try other items on the menu!

Great vegetarian and vegan dishes at dukkah. We had the hummus, quinoa tabouli, mahshi, eggplant steak and the vegan shawarma. Ensuring everything was really nice. Highly recommend this place.

A great little gem on Vernon Street. We were a group of 7 and managed to order a great range of food! Everything was delicious but we all felt like the portion sizes could have been bigger for the price. The cheese cigars were really delicious! There also seemed to be only one waiter for the entire restaurant at the time we were there that slowed down the service.

I celebrated my birthday at this hidden gem of a restaurant last night and had the most amazing night with my wife and our friend. The friendly waiter Callum was fantastic all night and is an asset to the business ! The food was absolutely delicious, we had the trio dips, cheese cigars, lamb tagine and mixed grill. 😋 Compliments to your chefs. Dukkah is a beautiful establishment, reasonably priced, intimate, cozy (it felt like we were eating at a friends house) and we will visit again and again and tell all our friends too. I was so impressed with everything that I spoke to the manager Rami to praise him on the quality and service we received. Thanks for the delicious food and giving me a birthday memory forever. Highly recommend !

Great Place for Food 😋 & Drinks 🍻. The dishes were 'Beautifully Presented' and were 'Very Yummy'. My favourites of the night were the Trio Of Dips, Vegan Chicken Shawarma Tagine & Kunafa !!! Very Good Service 👨‍🍳 & Very Good Ambience 🛎️ Great location in the South Kingsville area too.

I found out about Dukkah through members of my family and decided to give it a try on Saturday. The atmosphere there was amazing. The low lighting and smell of all the food was incredible and the people there were extremely friendly. For my dinner i ordered the Cheese Cigar's and Chicken Shawarma Tagine. The Cheese Cigars were nice and flaky that was really tasty. The Chicken Shawarma Tagine was also delicious with Chicken cooked to perfection and a combination of pomegranate, almonds and garlic aoili on top of Saffron rice. Additionally i loved how they catered to everyones preferences allowing for vegetarian and vegan options but also including alternatives for those who cant eat Gluten. The exprience i had was great and I will definitely be coming back with friends to try everything else they have on the menu.

This has got to be the best Middle Eastern Resturant I've ever had. I went there with a couple friends and family and am honestly surprised this place isnt more well known. Every part of the Resturant was amazing. The waiter who served us was very friendly and made sure everything we ordered was enjoyable. As we had a large group we ordered a lot of food and got to try a bit of everything. The small dishes were amazing and left plenty to for all to enjoy. The main meals were also very tasty. Personally my favourite was the Chicken Shawarma Tagine. The blend of flavours were really good and everything complimented eachother. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restuarant. The music they played while I was there was very enjoyable and not to loud so i could still hear everyone at the table. Additionally the place was very cosy and warm and smelled amazing I look forward to coming back here again!!

Food was good overall. Not extraordinary. The cheese cigars were great! The Kofta and Chicken Shawarma was nice not Wow I’d say. The Knafe dessert was interesting - I would call it Mangoes and Cream though! Wasnt Knafe exactly but was nice. Overall given portions, I’d say a tick pricey!

Ambiance: Trendy litte spot. Plenty of seating. Food: We ordered the Trio Dips which came with toasted turkish bread. The Beetroot Labneh was beautiful, but I didn't really care for the other two. Not much flavour or richness as you would expect. We ordered the Mixed Grill Platter, which was okay. The rice was quite dry for my taste, and the quantity of both rice and salad was lacking. Flavour of the food was nice, but I would definitely order individual items, and the quantity was not enough to share. Service: Our server was very friendly and nice.

Very good food. Ordered a shared platter. Nice dips and breads Chicken and lamb skewers are juicy. Highly recommended.

Loved the ambience, service and food. We had the eggplant chermoula, lamb sliders, washed it down with a furphy and topped it off with their kunafeh dessert which was unreal!
