Had a great time exploring the All-You-Can-Eat buffet at @serendib_northcote for authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine. With a rotating selection of 20-25 dishes daily, including diverse curries, salads, condiments, and rice, they cater to various dietary needs, from vegan to gluten-free options. Took the family along, and it was a delightful experience. The iconic saffron rice was a hit with my elder kids, boasting a rich, flavorful taste and a golden hue. I relished the coconut-infused beef curries while the little one indulged in unlimited roti, hoppers, and papadams🀭. The curry's mild spice made it perfect for the kids. With a seating capacity for up to 70, it's an ideal spot for gatherings and parties. The attentive and friendly staff, led Dan, ensured a memorable experience. Grateful, for the warm hospitality and the introduction to this wonderful cuisine. Highly recommended!

Recently, I tried the All-You-Can-Eat Sri Lankan dinner buffet, and it was a great experience. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the ambiance was good. There were plenty of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, and the prices were reasonable. The food looked tasty and authentic, though it wasn't as spicy as traditional Sri Lankan dishes. If you're into super spicy food, this might not be your spot, but it's still a must-try place. During my visit, I noticed fewer customers from the subcontinent, probably due to the milder spice level. However, the place was buzzing with customers at dinner time, and all tables were occupied. Despite the crowd, the staff was efficient, making sure the food remained hot and fresh. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Sri Lankan All You Can Eat for $25pp! On Fri - Sun nights, you can add on freshly made unlimited hoppers and Kottu Roti for just $3. Hoppers are thin, bowl shaped pancakes made from fermented rice flour - with the option of plain and egg hoppers! There's a nice combination of fluffy sponge-like center with crispy edges. Popular Sri Lankan staple Kottu Roti has a mix of chopped roti, chicken, vegetables and aromatic spices. I got a few serves of these along with my faves of the night - fragrant saffron rice topped with crispy curry leaves, creamy cashew curry, dhal curry, and sambols. To the side, there were coconut, carrot and onion sambol, house made chilli oil, fresh papadum and salad of the day. Loved the buffet variety and additional small dessert selection, takeaway menu is also such good value for a quick feed with your choice of curry with rice/combo meal.

We were there on Friday night for their dinner buffet. Food was very authentic and extremely delicious. Very friendly staffs and they were very accommodating to our needs. The desserts were superb. The hoppers were made fresh and served as much we needed. Extremely happy with their food and service. Very rare to get a good Sri Lankan Sinhala cuisine like Serendib.
