Melinda was a wealth of knowledge about Melbourne’s history and unique food experiences. She is also charming and friendly. The food was delicious, coffee fantastic and the whole experience was most memorable. We highly recommend it. Thank you Melinda!

I did the foodie tour just yesterday. Absolutely amazing! Loved meandering through undiscovered little eateries, restaurants, shops and bars. The little treats along the way were absolutely divine! I was surprised too to find that I was another Geelong local to have done a tour like this, I thought I'd be the weird odd one out 🤣. Learning about historical areas and facts of Melbourne sites was a huge highlight too. As I am in a wheelchair.... Accessibility is paramount when doing these tours, and Monique definitely took great care with this as well. Big thankyou for a lovely afternoon :)

The Coffee tour had a mix of history, culture and insights into coffee making, brewing, filtering methods. We sampled coffee at 4 different cafes. Monique was an exceptionally good guide, the walk was well paced with well chosen cafes. Nice to meet people on the tour with the same passion for coffee. Highly recommended this tour!

The best tour ever with Monique, with a lot of historical information. The tasting choices were amazing and it was an excellent discovery of Melbourne. Wish we had done it sooner. We highly recommand her food tour. Thank you, Michelle and Luc From Canada

Been on a few tours and this one was the best. Do this tour first and learn melbourne history along with a selection of the unique cafes and restaurants in Melbourne. Accommodating to all dietary requirements including halal. Monique was amazing and friendly. You don't feel rushed and its a sml tour size so you get to meet new friends to explore melbourne with. Amazing Tour - highly recommend it!!

Monique had such a wealth of knowledge about Melbourne and her selections for macarons, coffee, gelato, chocolate, banh mi, dumplings, and cocktails were diverse and top notch. A truly wonderful way to experience one of the more unique cities of the world. If I were to use one word to describe Monique’s tour, I’d have to borrow an Australian colloquialism: LEGEND!

What a wonderful way to spend a rainy day in Melbourne! Monique is great at sharing stories and the inside scoop on where to find fabulous food. We finished with new knowledge, good memories and satisfied bellies.

An enjoyable afternoon of food, history and camaraderie. Monique does a wonderful job of interweaving Melbourne's history with the stories of the different cafes and food shops. We loved the arcades and laneways, especially beautiful with the holiday decor. The food and beverages were delicious, and the cultural diversity of the city was well represented.

The Tour Guide was very professional and had a wealth of knowledge. If you are a coffee lover you will come away with an amazing appreciation of coffee flavours and types of coffee to enjoy and savour. As the very first Tour since COVID restrictions and lockdown for Melbourne CBD, at every moment of the Tour I felt safe and all restrictions were adhered to and practiced. This is a very professionally run Tour company and knowledgeable Tour Guide. I recommend any coffee lover to take this Tour and enhance your knowledge and ignite the true authentic flavours of coffee beans and types of coffees you can experience all these flavours with. Thank you to Monique and Walk Melbourne. Well done and I will definitely be back to do the “Foodies Walk Tour!”

We went on the Melbourne Coffee Lovers Walking Tour with the lovely Monique! We had a fantastic time walking through the CBD while we learned about (and tasted) the history of Melbourne’s coffee scene. Monique was an amazing guide, she is so friendly and clearly finds so much joy sharing her own love of coffee and Melbourne! Would highly recommend to long time coffee lovers, as well as newbies to coffee (like myself!).

Informative and so delicious! I was a little skeptical going into this, knowing that local tours can be a bit uninspired and dull, but I was so impressed and surprised. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and took us to some of the tastiest foods I've eaten in years, most of which I'd have never found by myself. My family and I did the street-food tour and it was definitely worth it, giving us a variety of food, drinks, and historic information on landmarks that most people wouldn't think much on until they learn the history.

I thought I knew about coffee. I didn’t. Monique taught me ten times more in two hours than I’d learned in a lifetime. From bean production, quality, export, roasting, blending, and grinding to the intricacies of espresso, filter, cold brew, and pour overs; this tour has the lot. Not only that, along the way you get a bit free city of Melbourne history and CBD architecture tour as well. Warning: I was pretty wired for a couple of hours afterward, so do it on a day when you want to be super productive afterward.

Well paced tour of laneways and arcades with plenty of backstories and a nice array of foods and drinks. Been to Melbourne 6 times and almost all of this tour represented a new experience for me. Highly recommend

Such an enjoyable morning spent strolling Melbourne's lanes and tasting some of the world's best coffee. Monique's commentary was so entertaining and informative, and she made everyone feel warmly welcomed whether they drank coffee or not. Very very highly recommended.

We loved our coffee walking tour of Melbourne on Saturday morning. We were on a staycation in the city & Monique took us to places, and showed us parts of Melbourne we had walked past hundreds of times, but never actually ‘seen’ or visited. She is a wealth of knowledge about all types of coffee & gave us a fantastic education on some of the roasting techniques & coffee jargon. Would highly recommend to Melburnians and visitors to our town (& she can also give you some fabulous dumpling recommendations for a post tour lunch!)

Fantastic tour! We did the foodie tour, with a group of 9 people total. Monique was so friendly and informative, and took us to some delicious spots we would have never discovered on our own. Well worth the price!

Great Foodies tour. Knowledgeable and friendly with great tie bits and stories. Not taxing from a walking perspective and a good mix. Would be great to have the vendors tell a little of their story but appreciate the challenge with this.

  • 5/5 Bridget A. 1 year ago on Google
A brilliant tour! A taste of Melbourne's best with some very interesting history of a few different spots throughout the city. I have lived here for 30 years, but never discovered my favourite city like a tourist. Loved it! Highly recommended for tourists & locals too!!

If you only do one thing in Melbourne, make sure it’s the Foodie Walking tour. We joined Monique for 3 hours and were taken on a ‘foodie and historical’ journey extraordinaire. Our three children (aged between 10 and 15) were enthralled and delighted for the entire duration of the tour. Monique had an entertaining historical story or anecdote around every corner, and we were filled with the most delicious food and treats along the way. We sampled the world-renowned Melbourne coffee, chocolate, and gelato. The mouth-watering Asian cuisines were demolished whilst sitting in the trendy Melbourne laneways. Monique is a foodie through and through and incredibly knowledgeable about Melbourne’s past and present. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you, Monique, for showing us the fabulous food, culture, and history in your fascinating city.

Was a perfect tour for us, me Melbourne raised and friend from the UK both introduced to delicious eateries, tastings, hidden laneways and interesting Melbourne history. Monique has created a relaxed informative walk. So pleased we discovered her tour it was good to meet a person who is passionate about Melbourne and the small but excellent businesses she introduced us too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Monique. The food stops on the tour were interesting, full of local flavor and a joy to taste. Our guide Monique did an excellent job of orienting us to Melbourne and it’s varied history and cultures. She shared with us top notch recommendations for our evening plans and even into Sydney. We stopped at Short Stop Donuts and explored several donut and coffee options there. She is a foodie’s foodie and we enjoyed her immensely. Five gold ? ? ? ? ⭐️. Doesn’t get any better! Thanks again Monique!

The tour was fun and well planned out, with historical and contemporary highlights and not too much walking. The food choices were excellent and plentiful - I was stuffed by the end, but not uncomfortably so. The macarons in particular were phenomenal. Our tour guide, Monique, was informative and entertaining, offered great suggestions and quips about Melbourne, was adaptive to the needs of the group, and very generous with her time. Highly recommend, and as a (newer) local, I plan to go again when I host friends/family from back home.

Monique was a wonderful tour guide and very knowledgeable about coffee - it was fascinating learning about it all. We did the coffee lovers tour of Melbourne and it was fabulous. Monique the tour guide was excellent and knew a lot about coffee. She took us to a variety of coffee shops and explained the background and also we had opportunities to try different beans and different styles of coffee. There are also lots of other stories that made this a very entertaining few hours. If you like or love coffee this is a great tour to go on. It was a lot of fun and very enjoyable

Hi, Just wanted to let you know I purchased tickets for my daughter, son in law and two grandsons to do your dumpling tour. They attended tonight 6/1 and the 11 yr old couldn’t wait to FaceTime me on the way home and excitedly recount the entire evening. Thank you so much. They all had a ball. Such a great idea for families to experience Melbourne and its history , as well as yummy food. Congratulations on an excellent service.

Monique took us on a tour that was so much more than I was expecting! It was a history lesson, as well as an introduction to Melbourne architecture, iconic events, and the influential people who helped grow this beautiful city. As for the food and drinks…there is plenty, it’s all delicious, and you are taken on a journey with each stop providing its own fascinating story. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough, a wonderful introduction to what Melbourne has to offer.

Monique knows her stuff! I emailed Monique at short notice as I had heard great things about her foodie discovery tour and couldn't find any availability online. She got back to me quickly and booked me onto a tour later that week. The tour provided a great balance between tasting some delicious food and drink, and sharing local knowledge about the beautiful city of Melbourne. I would recommend this tour to anybody interested in food whilst visiting Melbourne. Thank you Monique!
