The perfect start to your travels! You don't have to worry about anything, cause everything is taken care of. It's an amazing feeling before you go that you won't be on your own when you arrive on the other side of the world, but that there's someone waiting for you to pick you up and drive you to your hostel. You'll see so much more with this tour than you could've ever seen on your own but the week still felt relaxed. Clauds, Darryl and Adam are really friendly and they know Melbourne and Australia so well that after this week (and the personal meetings) you'll feel prepared for your own journey in Australia. It's also no problem at all if you eat vegan/vegetarian cause they'll make sure there's always an option for everyone. I would 100% recommend this week to everyone new in Australia/new to travelling alone!

Absolutely 10/10! If you are nervous to travel or this is your first big travel experience (as it is for me) then definitely book this tour! I don’t even think tour properly explains this week because it feels more like a big family trip with people who you will get to know quite quickly. I had no idea what I wanted to do when I got here and now I have my dream trip planned out with the confidence to do it! Tommy was our main guide and he did an amazing job with an equal amount of interesting factual information and fun travel tips/tricks. Bonnie and Alex (adventure guides in shadowing) are definitely in the right profession! Both were extremely personable and helpful which took the overall experience up another notch. The week is jam packed with activities and yummy food that are definitely worth the price! Overall a fantastic experience. I had the best time during my welcome to Sydney tour. My favourite part was meeting so many awesome people! The whole group got along so well and we’ll surely keep in touch. All the activities were so well planned and worked flawlessly. On the road trip we played music and laughed the whole time. A huge shoutout to Tommy, Alex and Bonnie! I had heard from lots of people who had done the tour previously that it was so worth it - and they were SO right! If you’re coming to Oz solo or you don’t know many people, I’d highly recommend this tour. You see so much of Melbourne at the same time as meeting some fab people that you can then go on to travel with. The surf lesson is so much fun and seeing the kangaroos at the sanctuary made my week. Our tour guide Grace was the best - feel like we’ve been friends for years!! She was so friendly, helped calm all of our nerves, gave us the best advice and generally raised the moral of the group ever single day. The one to ones with Vicky and Elle were also super helpful - they gave us so much information and helped us plan our 6 week trip up the East coast - all whilst making it fun, such a good laugh!! Overall, couldn’t have asked for a better guide or way to start my Oz adventure :-) thank you WTT team! X

I would highly recommend people doing the WTT Melbourne Tour. It was so much fun. Grace was amazing, I miss her already! We had such a fun group travelling around and I am excited to continue travelling with some of the group after the tour. Back in the office Abbie was so helpful with planning the rest of my travels. So happy she knew what I wanted to do and could just book everything for me. I would recommend everyone to use WTT for an easy way to plan travels.

Literally the best week of my life! Would give more than 5 stars if I could. The tour was incredible and Grace was the perfect tour guide, managing to balance education in the tours with so much joy and fun that we felt like one big family. Woke up everyday with a smile on my face. Getting to explore the city and then travel out to see the penguins at sunset and hang out with the kangaroos at the wildlife parks were personal highlights. Good level of exploring, whilst still having chilled beach days so you get to enjoy every part of the tour. The whole team was really helpful in planning my future travelling and setting up bank accounts and everything I need to help with the rest of my travels. Feel like it’s given me friends for life and the best introduction to the country I could have asked for. WE LOVE YOU GRACE!

One of the most amazing weeks to start off a year of travelling. Our tour was full of so many trips and visited lots of “must see” locations for Melbourne. Perfect for a solo traveller because you make friends with everyone in your group. Our tour guide, Grace, made everyone feel so welcomed and definitely made sure everyone had a smile on their face throughout the trip. Abbie was amazing in the office for helping us plan our onward travel and adjusted it to fit our budget. Ive had such an amazing week and I’ll definitely be returning to Melbourne in future! This week has been amazing, got to meet so many great people. We’ve had great experiences like feeding kangaroos, road-tripping to beautiful places, surfing and seeing wild life penguins 🤩 Our tour guide Nikki was absolutely amazing, she’s so fun and great at her job! Best week of my life! If in doubt, just do it! I have made the most amazing memories, and met the most amazing people. Doing the welcome to travel takes off so much initial stress that you may have the first week of coming out, as this is usually the hardest part. Doing the welcome to travel Melbourne was great as it is such a cultural city and our tour guide Charlie was the BEST! I wouldn’t know half the insight that Melbourne has to offer if it wasn’t from his many many fun facts. I would not have wanted any other tour guide, Charlie made the trip and had so much knowledge and was amazing at accommodating all of us and just making everything as easy as possible, and safe to say he kept up as all VERY entertained the whole trip. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much, the hardest thing was saying goodbye and I want to go back and do it all over again already ❤️ LOVE YOUUUUU xxx

Nikki was a lovely tour guide who was super helpful, friendly and funny. The group was so nice and I made loads of new friends. There was a good balance of exciting activities and free time, and Nikki really helped the experience feel personalised and welcoming. The help we got from both Nikki and Holly during our one to one was brilliant. They made sure everything was within our budget and that we could do everything we wanted to do.

I have just finished the welcome to melbourne tour. I was so apprehensive before starting as this was my first time in a hostel and travelling solo but it has honestly been the best week. My tour group have been absolutely amazing, couldnt have asked for a better bunch of people. A very special shout out to our tour guide Grace who has been amazing the whole week and made us all feel very comfortable. She has been there to answer any questions we have had and just made the whole week so much fun. There is so much to do and see and the tour covers a lot of it. I am very happy that I chose to book onto a Welcome to Melbourne tour for my first week in Australia! Everything that I needed to settle in was taken care of with ease and I have made some good friends and memories along the way. My tour guide was Charlie Morgan and I feel genuinely lucky to have had him around for the past week. This is due to his friendly and welcoming nature, as well as being very knowledgeable and capable of answering any questions anyone in the group may have had… (Not to mention his all of his fascinating stories). I’ve booked onto the Great Ocean Road trip as an extension to the WTT tour as I don’t want it to end yet and it’s such a shame this will be unguided because I’m sure everybody in the group will have preferred to have had Charlie around for a bit longer. All things come to and end though! All the best Charlie mate.

Where to begin!! Booked the “welcome to Melbourne tour” with my boyfriend Conor after seeing previous glowing reviews. I didn’t expect a fraction of what the trip was going to offer. There were plenty of surprises that were real showstoppers on top of the itinerary. Every day was packed with fun activities and different sights to see. Having the expertise and knowledge from our lovely tour guide Grace was invaluable, as well as the laughs and dance moves! She really made everyone feel at ease and really took the time to get to know the group - thank you sooo much 💕 Andy our driver to Philip island was super friendly too! We also had a chat with Rosie, she was full of advice regarding the best way to navigate living in the city. If you want a great way to meet people in Oz this is the trip for you! The memories I have made with the group will be cherished forever. We’re settling in Melbourne and can’t wait to catch up with our new mates 🤟 We have already extended our trip to do the great ocean road and have no doubt it will be incredible 🌊

Grace exceeded my expectations as a tour guide! Nothing was too much and she had so much knowledge on everything I wanted to know! Everyone on the tour was respectful of one another and good friendships have been made! What a week it’s been with welcome to travel: Melbourne tour! Had a blast with our tour guide Nikki, she was so knowledgeable, bubbly and brought an incredible energy to the whole week! I’ve taken so much away from your advice and recommendations! Dave our driver for Philip island also was so friendly and helpful and pointed out some great stuff along the way with Nikki. Loved getting to know everyone and was easy to make connections and have just had so much fun!! All round the best first week half way across the world! Don’t think I could have organised my work holiday without all the help from Nikki and the arrangement wtt have made, like bank set up, employment, travel help! I think because Nikki was so informative and checked in on everyone throughout the trip she made everyone feel safe, supported and welcomed to a new city and life in Australia. My highlight was Phillip island and the amount of wildlife and viewpoints we saw and city wise our culture walks in Melbourne as we were told so much history, I couldn’t believe how much Nikki knew, I was very inspired! Welcome To Travel was the perfect start to my time in Oz. I initially didn’t feel the need to book any kind of tour, and was happy to just show up and meet people and plan my own activities. After watching the video they have to summarize the 8 day tour, it seemed like an awesome time and a good value as well considering all that is included. I had the opportunity to be impressed by the WTT crew a few weeks before I even landed in Oz. I had some issues with my booking through my credit card company, and the team was hugely helpful, professional, and patient in helping to work through those issues. As the week began, it became immediately obvious that this company is something the team have poured their hearts and souls into. Great activities, awesome guides, and really well thought out planning. I was consistently impressed with the connections they have made within Melbourne and also around Oz to make both the tour and our travel afterwards so much easier and more enjoyable. Businesses and restaurants have set aside space, time, and even special pricing and menus to build and maintain a relationship with the awesome WTT team. There are so many fun scheduled items throughout the week, but there are also countless smaller moments where you get to simply enjoy time with people who have quickly gone from strangers to close friends. There are just as many moments where it will be plainly obvious the the guides at WTT truly care for you, your enjoyment, and your success while in Oz. I cannot think of a better way that I could have spent my first week in Oz. Still trying to get some of the Aussie slang down, but the Welcome To Travel team 100% fit what Aussies refer to as “legends.”

What an amazing group of people and tour! Coming here on a working visa, I was a bit nervous and unsure of how to get started or what to do. Welcome to Travel was by far the best investment I’ve made while travelling. I can’t recommend it enough. Every part of the week tour exceeded my expectations. I had an amazing time on the welcome to Sydney tour. On my tour i met an incredible group of people who i will continue to be friends with long after the tour; As the tour is packed with so many amazing activities you quickly bond with your group and get to know each other as close friends. My tour was led by a wonderful guide (Shoutout to Tommy) who was always available to help if i had any worries or queries and worked hard to ensure our group had the best experience possible. This is a great choice if you're visiting Australia on a working holiday visa as you are provided with valuable information and are given continued support from welcome to travel after the tour ends. The tour is still an amazing experience if you're visiting on holiday (Which is what i did) As it removes the stress of finding and arranging activities and transport and takes you to amazing places you would never know to visit if traveling alone, ensuring you make the most of your time in Sydney. Overall i thoroughly enjoyed my experience on the tour and would definitely recommend the tour to anyone wanting to experience as much of Sydney as possible in the short time you are here whilst also making long lasting friendships along the way.

To say this week was the best week of my life is an understatement. The Welcome to Sydney tour was jam packed with so much stuff and a whirlwind adventure. Welcome to travel is an amazing company that eased all my queries and worries from the start. Our group was one of the smaller groups but for us it was perfect. We all got to know one another and became a close knit family. Laughs were abundant in our 'organic tour, especially on the road trips'. There's not enough words to say how amazing our 'tour guide' Tommy was. He was so down to earth and ended up being a friend rather than a tour guide. (Even if his games do annoy you to start ;) )Any questions we had he answered them as well as adding in all the nerdy facts. When you look at all the inclusions plus a few surprises along the way, the value for money is insane. So much is included that i would be here all day trying to write it all down. Plus the view from our 'hostel' was on par with some of the best views of Sydney. Talk about Flashpacking on a budget. On top of all of the inclusions the support the whole way through your stay in Australia and beyond and even 1 to 1 support for when you're feeling confused and lost on where to go to next just makes this team and family the best a person could ask for. My boyfriend and I just finished the welcome to Melbourne tour and what a week it’s been. I’ll start by saying that Courtney (tour guide) is phenomenal at what she does. The knowledge, humour, enthusiasm and kindness she gives makes this tour so enjoyable. The week is jam-packed with activities including: city tours, beach trips, kangaroo feeding, penguins, lots of great food and drink, surfing and much more. It’s perfectly planned to give you a insight of Melbourne culture. Our tour group consisted of 13 of us, I made so many friends and a group of us are carrying on our adventure taking on the great ocean road together. That leads me onto one of the most valuable things I’ve taken away from this trip, the support. Welcome to travel will sort you out with your SIM cards, bank accounts which is so helpful when you start out travelling. They also planned our whole trip up the east coast and the great ocean road for us. This is something before meeting Courtney I would have done myself but they have so many connections and resources that I knew I could leave it in their hands and I’m beyond grateful for the plan they’ve done for us. If you’re coming to Australia and considering doing this tour, do it! You’ll make friends for life, not only within the group but within the company.
