FRIENDLY, CASUAL QUALITY, WELL-PRICED The Clifton Hill Brewpub (also known as the Clifton Hill Hotel) is located on Queens Parade in 'village feel" Clifton Hill. Its bright and airy with separate more formal dining room, casual dining and bar areas. Staff are very friendly and the service is quick. Good range of gastro pub meals on the menu. If you are driving, parking isn't too bad at this end of the Queens Parade shopping strip. If you are using public transport, the tram runs right past on Queens Parade and the Clifton Hill train station is an easy stroll away. Very clean and modern bathroom facilities. People with mobility issues will be fine here as its all on one ground floor level and there is plenty of space between tables to negotiate a wheelchair.

As yummy as a plate of linguine is, the portion should have been bigger to fill up my stomach 😕 What a pity 😔

Couldn't ask for friendlier staff. Great range of beers brewed on site...you have to try the raspberry sour! One of the best pints of Guinness in Melbourne. Food is consistently great quality and also very reasonably priced. If you're hungry, the Parma is the go-to. It's absolutely massive!!

Celebrated my 21st birthday here in May 2021. After initally having the party cancelled in February due to lockdown, the staff and management assisted me in reorganising, ensuring the night went as smoothly as I could have hoped. The food was delicious and the service fantastic, leaving me with nothing to be concerned about on the night other than enjoying the time with my family and friends. Everyone had a fantastic time and I couldn't have asked for a better night, would highly recommend the Clifton Hill for any function!

Interesting, mine host was communicative and friendly, food was good (had the Creole Gumbo which was tasty although didn't know why the potato salad was there)🤔. However tasted great Don't think anyone was unhappy about the food, would go again

Great fast and friendly service. The hamburger special was well presented, and tasted delicious, everyone in the group commented favorably about the burger. Great value for money. Credit to the chefs. I was dissapointed to see no mainstream beers on tap, only specialty beers. I get that some venues want to differentiate themselves with an alternative beer offering, or they are concerned about price awareness of the customer thinking they may compare by the glass price to take home prices at discount stores ti tap beer prices but seriously the mainstream beers have market share and it's a good business decision to have them on tap. I spoke to the barman who told me they did have a mainstream beer on tap, but it had another beer brand on the tap. He said we just don't promote the beer. Thank God that beer was there because if it wasn't I would have taken my lunch party elsewhere not experienced the burger or venue. I will dine herebl again.

We held our engagement party in the venue space and had such a positive experience. Communication with the venue was very clear, and they were so accommodating with all requests. The range of beers and drinks were fantastic and the food was delicious. Special thanks to Iwan (and your fantastic shirts) and Becks for help organising and to Jayde for wonderful service on the night. Thank you for helping us celebrate, we highly recommend using this space for any events!

What a gem! Over in Melbourne on a little family holiday with our 12 week old baby and stumbled across this place. Our chicken schnitzels were amazing, service exceptional, beers cold. We sat out the back for a bit of quiet for our little one in the pram and it was nice not to be forgotten! Regular check ins by the staff, and an all round great vibe and experience. Well done guys and thankyou!

Recently dined at The Timeless Tavern and was thoroughly impressed. The witty bartender, coupled with the attentive service, created an exquisite atmosphere. This old-style pub, infused with Australian charm, is ideal for sharing an evening of cultured conversation and laughter with like-minded friends. A delightful gem for the discerning patron.

Solid pub food, large menu and great beer. Service wasn't super attentive and we needed to look for someone but overall would definitely visit again.

Great local pub with all tap beers brewed on site! The brewers are fabulous, along with the bar staff who are welcoming and knowledgeable about the products they make & sell. Great little beer garden that is dog friendly and heated for cold winter nights.

Fantastic place to eat (and drink). We had the Sunday Wagyu Roast and it was great value and superb quality. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to go out for a meal, a drink or a mix of both!

Husband and I stopped in for a sneaky lunch without the kids. The service was great. Very friendly and attentive staff. We ordered a couple of starters as we tend to not eat big meals. All 3 starters were delicious. We asked if peanuts could be removed from one of the items as husband has allergies and they were happy to do so. They also have a decent amount of vegetarian options, which made me a very happy girl. We also tried a couple of IPAs and the Pacific Ale. Which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Loved the house brewed kolsch beer. The food was fine, but was smaller servings compared to my other reviews. We had the calamari, sorry no photos.

Great food. Chicken parma was thick and had a home made feeling to it. Unique style craft beers brewed there. Both the larger and ginger beer had the "sour" flavour created through a specific brewing method. I can appreciate the sour flavour but I prefer easy drinking simple larger. Bottle shop range is good with helpful friendly staff.

This was quite a surprise in Clifton hill, called in for our evening meal and we enjoyed all the meals presented, plus we enjoyed their pale ale, quite a few. Well worth a visit.

By far the best porterhouse I’ve ever had / at a pub, and we check them all out in area, having lived here for 20 yrs. And this Steak night? Brilliant - also, Sarah amazing with service and follow up, Liv great too. 👍

Beer brewed on the premises? Food cooked to perfection? Great staff who are friendly and knowledgeable? You've come to the right place. One of my favourite pubs. Even though they had a plumbing emergency recently they still stayed open and produced great food and exceptional service. Imagine what they're like when they are full throttle? Can't wait to get back there. Do yourself a favour and get down to Clifton Hill Brewpub.

These guys know beer and food. The tasting paddles are a great sampler and a lovely atmosphere for a chat, with a pool table and plenty of nooks and crannies, plus a drive through bottle-o. A great pub 😎

Stumbled across this amazing place by accident and was first impressed by the incredibly friendly and amazingly knowledgeable staff! Nothing was a problem from getting us a table for food which was fantastic and the list of beers where even better. Everyone was smiling and happy to help! Left us with a lasting impression and can't wait to go back again.

Not so good one lovely waitress another took my $19 cocktail before I had finished . Couldn't say anything as I was eating a very bland pork taco.Husband had an over cooked dry Mexican parma..Lovely open fire, great garlic cob loaf.Very disappointed 😞 it's pretty bad when the best thing you can say is about the garlic bread

Stellar experience, friendly service, delicious parma (especially the chicken salt chips) and a ripper range of brews. Staff was wonderful and accommodating of the puppy we brought along. Look out for the Red IPA if it's on again soon too!

A little disappointing. We went the for lunch on a Saturday and the place was dead. Ordered a parma, pork belly bites and a beer. It was a very basic parma, something you'd expect form a pub out in the sticks on a parma night for $12. And the pork belly bites were dry and chewy. I'm not sure if this place is pumping at night? With live bands, I'll have to come back and check.

Myself and everyone that was invited to my 30th had a wonderful time at the Clifton Hill Brewpub! The food was delicious and the staff, especially Joseph, were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make my night one to remember! Thank you so much for making it a wonderful night :D

Just want to say a huge thank you to the staff at the Clifton Hill Brewpub. We were a family of ten who dined there on Friday night and we had a great night. The food was delicious and my 20 year old Aspey nephew wants to go back to eat chips, best he’s ever tasted!! I want to go back for the classic Parma and everyone else raved about their steaks. Lastly a big shout out to Joseph for making sure we were well looked after. Every food and drink establishment needs a ‘Joseph’! Well done and congratulations. I hope you continue to have great success. Debra

My family (locals to the area) took me to the Clifton Hill as my first Aussie meal back from overseas and boy was I relieved! The food was delish and the staff even better. They were so quirky and fun and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy :)

The team here are amazing and went above and beyond for my 40th birthday function. They always responded to emails in a timely manner and the the staff on the night were fantastic and nothing was to much hassle for them, the food was great and the drinks flowed. I highly recommend this venue for any function you may be hosting. Special mention to Iwan, Becks and Joesph.

Awesome Brew pub. Went here for dinner and everything was even better than I had anticipated. Had a drink in the front bar, where the service was great. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. Then we had dinner and once again our waitress was really nice and helpful. Meals were huge. We had some Parmas and ribs...delicious 😋. Then we had cofees in the back bar, where people were playing pool 🎱. We loved everything about this place and highly recommend it 😉👍💯
