Park in the small lot if you are lucky enough to find a space. Then walk up the 1-mile woodland trail that passes by a coastal pond and through stands of mixed trees. Once you come out onto the ocean lawn and catch a glimpse of the Atlantic, your jaw will drop. There are some impressive, enormous trees that create lots of shade to picnic under. And off the left you can walk on the large rocks where locals sometimes make the jump into the ocean. Walk straight ahead and you can walk right down to the water via large rocks. If you then walk to the right over the rocks you can find a very small sandy area where you can wade into the water by the seawall. Far in the distance you can see the buildings of downtown Boston.

Jumping off from Gloucester High School taking a bike trip down through Stage Fort Park and riding into Magnolia to visit Coolidge reservation. This destination provides ample space for great picnicking. Very limited free parking. From the parking lot you have a very lovely walk through the woods to reach the grand lawn area. Spectacular views and a warm Fall day make this a perfect day.

After a short trail (~15 mins walk?), a huge lawn area over ocean cliff shows up. Nice sunset view and ocean sound. To drive here, search 'Coolidge Reservation Parking', instead of the park itself. Otherwise, navigation will lead to a private road, which is typically closed to public.

Beautiful but don't follow your GPS! Parking is not on Coolidge Point! Parking is at 513-599 Summer St, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA 01944 Nice walk up to the reservation.

Easy walk to a huge lawn overlooking the ocean. A few notes, not much parking. No restrooms. Also the maps location is not accessible. Keep going, the parking lot is on the same side of the road.

Great area for a walk and the lawn area is really nice. Bring a rod and reel and you can fish for striped bass from the lawn.

Great view on the ocean lawns. Not many people compared to nearby beaches like the singing beach. Very quiet and beautiful

A piece of heaven! The walk up through the woods to get to it just provides the breathtaking moment when you continue to walk past the old Beech trees to come across the 180 degree view of the ocean! I've seen deer, geese and even some seals! Fall is unbelievable with the colorful foliage! Take a walk, have a picnic and just feel the magic!

Coolidge Reservation Parking is in a lot on Summer St., not on Coolidge Point. Lovely walk through the woods up to the Ocean Lawn. Beautiful in all seasons!

Absolutely beautiful. 4 stars not 5 because there is so little parking and on top of that, the Ocean Lawn is closed several days a week.

An easy 2-mile trail out and back trail will bring you to both an excellent Beach as well as the famous ocean lawn with amazing expansive views. You will also pass a saltwater pond, and some nice rhododendron plant and mountain laurel along the way. Be cautious of the large quantity of goose droppings on the ocean lawn.

Great park if you like rules and regulations. You can walk the beach, but you can't swim unless...you can bring your dog, but he/she can't take in the lawn or beach. I think you can both swim in the pond, but I may have missed that sign. Take the first hard right turn for the best high altitude view [at least in winter]. Plenty of parking in the off season. Outstanding ferns and rock formations. Don't miss the Michael Graves architectural homage to excess and contextuality above the beach.

Fun place to walk around. Parking was a bit limited (maybe 10 spots) but it was a nice little walk through the woods. I saw a deer not more then 10 yards from the path just eating. After you get to the large field the views are just so beautiful. The water, the green, the open air, wow. I went during the week so it was really quiet. Not to sure how busy it gets during the weekend. Definitely would be a nice place to take the kids or have a picnic (not sure if that's aloud). I took my wife and she just loved it!

Lightly attended, a beach (open only certain days each week) and a very large lawn with magnificent views.

Nice place for a picnic, but parking is a (relatively long & uneven) hike through the woods, so pack your walking shoes.

Outstanding! Short hike to large lawn, great for picnics, with gorgeous views of rocky shoreline. Such a hidden treasure! Can also access small beach. Or hike uphill to rocky outcropping for nice peek of harbor.

It's a beautiful park where you can get a glimpse of some very interesting architecture. When the leaves come off in the autumn, you can even see the late Michael Graves' spectacular house from the Magnolia beach. Well worth a walk at any time of the year for the views and serenity.

It's a wooded area with a pond that leads to a lawn in front of a rocky beach. The lawn and the beach are the crown jewel of the place and are open Fri-Mon.

Nice short walk through the woods to a beautiful ocean vista, where on a clear day you can see Boston.

The House is truly a gem at the lovely intersection of Chinatown, Nobhill, and FiDi. This is one of my favorite spots to bring friends and family who are visiting the city. It's a snug little restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. It's a great place for a spontaneous date night because it's not a super casual or a super classy restaurant (though you could make it that way since they do have a wine list). Lunch is usually a good time for a walk-in but I definitely recommend making a reservation for dinner since they do get quite busy.

Fantastic location to spend a day just sitting and lounging. It appears too be family friendly but keep a close eye on your younger children. There are cliffs, ledges and jagged rock everywhere along the coast. Also, the two main hiking trails from the parking lot are easy walks and they both present awesome views of the area.

This is a great, kid-friendly trail to a beautiful yard looking out over the sea - a lovely spot! Note that dogs are not allowed after a certain point as your approach the lawn, and the parking lot is small.
