We had an awesome day with Backcountry Wine Tours! Dillion our host and driver was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We visited 3 different wineries. All were different experiences and fun. Way better than Napa Valley. We learned a lot from Dillon and the winery spokespeople. Highly recommended and we hope to do it again in the future.

We had a wonderful wine tour with Backcountry. We're novice wine tasters so we left the details of our tour to the experts at Backcountry and the day couldn't have been better. Our tour guide, Nikko, was excellent and the wineries they picked were a good fit for our novice tasting skills. They were informative, and friendly with no pretentiousness. We traveled through beautiful landscapes that we never would have found by ourselves. Thank you, Backcountry, for an unforgettable experience!

I only have good things to say about Backcountry Wine Tours. I went to Portland and did not expect to do a wine tour. Aaron was our guide and super informative about everything Portland and everything wine. Initially, I didn't understand why there was a cost for tasting versus the tour. Backcountry explained this on their website and Aaron was able to add more information. Make sure to fill out the questionnaire after signing up for the Backcountry Wine Tour. This company designed a tour to address all tourists preferences. Our group tour consisted of 2 groups totaling four people. The group dynamic was very comfortable while traveling to the Willamette Valley and during the tastings. The wine makers were very generous with their pours and explained knowledge of Oregon pinot noirs. It was a fun day. No complaints. I'll go with Backcountry Wine Tours on my next trip to Oregon.

We had a wonderful staff retreat with Backcountry Wine Tours! We needed something we could do on a Monday and Backcountry booked us appointments at three awesome wineries that we had all to ourselves. Our driver arrived early, drove safely, was friendly, and got us back on time. He picked up our lunch (which was delicious) and recommended we eat at a winery with beautiful views. It was a fun day!

We visited Willamette in August 2023 with another couple. I enjoyed the van, the tour guide was nice and had a cool vibe. He also picked a delicious sandwich lace for lunch. Your tour guide took us to a few wineries. One of which is Arlyn’s Vineyard. Both couples ordered a case of wine from Arlyn’s. We were told that the wine would ship in earlier October. It’s now a week before Thanksgiving and we haven’t received our order. What’s extremely disappointing and shady is that despite multiple emails and phone calls Janis the owner of Arlyn’s has yet to respond. Yet she had NO PROBLEM charging my AMEX. We reached out to your company via email on 10/21/23 and 10/25/23. Jack response to our email was “This time of year is when everybody is trying to ship all the parcels that have been backed up through the summer when they couldn't ship because of heat. So it's a huge bottleneck pushing them through literally the only place in the Willamette Valley that does this third party compliance service.Just give it a couple more weeks. You'll have your wine I promise.” It’s been a couple more weeks and still no wine or updates from Jack or Janis. Since emails and phone calls don’t work we’ll have to pursue other avenues. OAN… we visited 6 wineries while in the area (3 based on your recommendation) and have received our orders from the other 5. One of is also a small business.

After a tour of 3 vineyards with our party of 8 I fall to see the value of their service for the premium price paid. The driver and van were great. But despite a detailed pretrip survey - what we ended up with was an ordinary tasting experience, with no obvious customization just as if we randomly walked in the door.

This was our second time using Backcountry Wine Tours, both tours were amazing. Pick up was prompt, lunch was amazing, and all the vineyards we visited were spot on with our requests. Could not have asked for a better experience!
