Several hikes long and short dotted around the area. They are reasonably sign posted also. Parking is well labelled and you will find a few cars scattered around where it is safe to park. Great day out AND a bbq area at the top with benches, etc. So be prepared you could make a great out of it. Talking about preparation... it’s cold in the mountains vs closer to the beach. So dress appropriately. Spain is definitely about more than just them beaches. Beautiful day out in less than an hour from Estepona.

Accessible via car or medium-hard difficulty hike. Breathtaking views from the summit with tree cover for most of the climb. Pack sensibly as temperature and weather conditions change rapidly.

A perfekt mountain for a days hike to the top, abot 1 400 m altitude

Spain, Andalusia, Estepona, Paraje Natural Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja. Der Paraje Natural ist ein Natur Reservat in den Bergen vor Estepona. Mit dem Auto braucht man von Estepona ungefähr eine halbe Stunde bis zur Kreuzung Sendero De Los Pinsapos an der sich drei Straßen treffen. Dort kann man das Auto abstellen und entweder zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad den Berg auf der neu asphaltierten Straße erklimmen. Zu Fuß braucht man ca. 1 Stunde. Landschaftlich ist der Paraje Natrual wunderschön, der Weitblick auf das Meer bis nach Malaga, die Kiefernwälder und die im letzten Jahr abgebrannten Wälder geben der Landschaft schon fast einen surrealen Touch. Wer oben ankommt, kann im Venta El Refugio, Los Reales y Mirdor andalusische kulinarische Köstlichkeiten genießen, das Restaurant ist wirklich ein Highlight, ich kann jedem empfehlen hier einzukehren. Wer will, kann noch bis zu den Antennenmasten auf die Berggipfel weiterwandern. Ich empfehle auch dies zu tun, oben angekommen hat man den besten Ausblick überhaupt, 360 Grad, man sieht Afrika und Gibraltar, bei gutem Wetter noch viel weiter.

Stunning views, well worth the quite long drive up. Plenty of free parking and several walking trails of different lengths to choose from. There is also a refuge there serving meals and drinks, which at the moment is only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday as it's out of season.

Pick a clear day, and visit this place. Amazing view, free, 5 minutes walking. No shops.. 30°C by the beach and 20 up here is nice and refreshing. You can see Gibraltar, Ceuta and some mountains in Morocco from here. We were almost alone when we visited in the evening.

Fabulous views over the Spanish coast! 100% recommend a visit here if you are nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Nice walking area and great scenery and views.

The place is a must if you are around this area. The views are impressive. The road to the top of the mountain is a bit long but totally worth it. The road in the last 4km is very narrow, for one car. There is a small parking space before the restaurant that can have around 8 cars. You might need a reservation before to get there.

I absolutely love this Sierra, many hikes possible, lots of wildlife and away from city or beach crowds. The cycle or drive to get here is top notch and gives spectacular views over the coast and the Serranía de Ronda.

Dieses wunderschöne Wandergebiet liegt kurz vor den Toren von Gibraltar. Zahlreiche Wanderwege laden zum entspannten Erkunden der Umgebung ein. Die Straßen sind teilweise sehr schmal und man muß vorsichtig navigieren denn auf der einen Seite geht es steil bergab und auf der anderen Seite sind sehr tiefe Gräben. Oben angekommen gibt es viele kleine Parkplätze, auf denen man gut einen Stop einlegen kann. Viele Aussichtspunkte laden zum verweilen ein. Wir kommen gerne wieder
