This hotel if for families, and older couples that want to eat/drink, join the hotel's activities, sleep and enjoy the pools. You can also walk and swim in the beach. A known formula that works well with many people. Price reasonable. Not close to shops and restaurants, will have to use car.

Good value but some negatives. I was disappointed after staying in other Melia establishments. Location is quite remote and no links to local area without having to pay €20 each way. Beach had a slight sewage smell and the sea not great to swim in. Pool areas muddy and some mossy patches, grass isn't ideal for kids in and out of the water. Tired and awkward sunbed adjustment meaning they were all mainly stuck on upright. People often reserved sunbeds all day and didnt use them particularly in the quiet/nicer pool. Communal WCs were not cleaned often enough. We were placed in a very clean but dated and tired room with view of carpark and reoffered another in the same position. Odd/late snack times and felt like a second rate citizen for being all inclusive. Too many additional and chargeable items at restaurant and bars. Our second room had issues with leaking air con for the whole week which hadnt been resolved. Plus points were brilliant friendly reception staff (Paula in particular was lovely and very attentive), entertainment team were interactive with our kids and excellent house keeping. I particularly liked the one night included meal in the Mexican restaurant. Friday fish night in the parole restaurant was a hit with the family! Overall good value for money but feel modernisation is needed.

Would not stay here again in my life, the rooms were fine in and of themselves but poorly cleaned. As a matter of fact the entire hotel needs a good scrub and a reorginsation, we saw pieces of trash in hallways that were there from the day we arrived till the day we left. Beds are barely cleaned up and the entire hotel simply gives off a poorly mantained vibe. The service ranged from terrible to adequate. For a hotel on the Costa del Sol barely anyone speaks proper English and seemingly get annoyed at you if you do not speak Spanish, we also had staff snap at us if we didn't understand what they meant the first time. Some staff were polite and nice but overall a terrible experience with the staff here. Location is simply utterly terrible, the road to the hotel is a maze if you come there the first time and is far away from everything (granted, that is to be expected in a resort area such as this). The beach sucked, water was too choppy to swim in 80% of the time and usually smelt like raw sewage. Not to mention the water was cold but you do get used to it eventually as to where you can swim comfortably. The hotel is mainly aimed towards children so if you're expecting peace and quiet this hotel isn't for you. Entertainment for guests and children was excellent though as far as I could tell. Now for my main gripe, this hotel actually extorts you. If you have All-Inclusive, which we upgraded to, many things aren't "included" at all. Want to not eat at the buffet once in a while? Pay up. Towels? Pay up. Some drinks? Pay up. Want to park your car outside in the sun? €15 A DAY! For barely any security and, like I said, having your car boil in the sun. If you don't have a car and want to leave to anywhere else that taxi's gonna cost you an arm and a lung as well. The food you get inside of the All-Inclusive package was... adequate. They do focus on quantity over quality though so while they have many different foods on paper none of it tastes very good. Fine if you don't expect much though. This might be the worst resort I've stayed at in my life. Might be fine if you want to be in a foreign country with your kids, but for anything else this hotel is a no-go.

Great experience! Loved our all-inclusive stay in this property. The room was great, and the view from the balcony was stunning. The hotel is spacious with lovely pool areas and bars. The food and drinks were ample, and the entertainment was great. Altogether it was a great experience! The beach was not great but good for walking. The location of the hotel is a bit remote for public transport, but both Estepona and Marbella are within easy taxi commute distances. All staff were friendly and helpful, right from reception, room service to the restaurants. Even with our very little knowledge of Spanish, we were surprisingly comfortable. Special mention for Ramon in the buffet restaurant, he is a star!

Last minute family break and hotel was excellent for the week. Clean, decent buffet food and lovely pool areas. Came in May/June so didn’t have the early morning sprints to the sun beds thankfully. Entertainment staff were simply fantastic and super friendly with huge amounts of activities throughout the day. Only downsides were size of ‘family room’ which was small and very basic (Reality was it is a double with a sofa bed) and access to the pool opening so late in the day.

The hotel is a bit tired but was probably excellent in its heyday. It is very much a massive concrete structure but is very clean, the staff are friendly and the food is very good if you are a fan of buffet style meals. I am fine with it but my wife wouldn't be so it was a good job I didn't bring her. We're on a golf break, which is going well, but our package should have included a shuttle service from the hotel to the course, but the hotel denies all knowledge of this, so we are having to pay for taxis. It's not ideal, but we're not letting it spoil our stay.

Very good and spacious rooms. We got the sea facing rooms and they were really good for the price. Service is average and if you need cutlery for example, you need to go get it yourself. Breakfast is good while dinner did not seem to have many options for vegetarians atleast.

On arrival first thoughts bland and basic room overlooking car park but clean. All staff were happy and very welcoming with very good service everywhere was clean . The outside areas were very pleasant with plenty of sun beds.Lovely views of the sea.Eleanor who I believe has just joined will be an asset to the hotel. I was with family and friends and spent 5 relaxing days all enjoyed and we had no complaints.

We have just come back from our 10 night stay. A very lovely hotel, fantastic for the kids and my son thoroughly enjoyed the children's area as well as my niece. 8 of us altogether went on this holiday and we all had a great time. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the hotel staff were all so friendly and nothing was ever to much trouble. The entertainment was also varied. Overall we have had a very nice stay

This is by no means a 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ establishment. The staff were amazing all bar one guy that was a bit aggressive in the way he conducted himself. The facilities were ok, at best. The drinks were seriously over priced but nice. The food was terrible though, just terrible. There was plenty of variety it just wasn't very nice. The worst bit about this place is the location, it's miles from anywhere. The nearest shop was a 25min round trip. There is a nice Indian restaurant up the road and a little kebab shop right around the corner from that. I'd say this resort is more geared towards old golfers looking for some games during the day and a quiet, mediocre nightlife where you can get a bit of food before bed. The grounds were lovely and well kept. We wouldn't return here even if it was a complimentary stay. I feel a bit bad saying all this but it's the truth in our opinion and based on outlr experience.

5days here with 2 adults and 2 children. Clean, friendly with an entertainment team that work very hard. We stayed all inclusive and we were more than happy with the quality of the food and service. Only points to note would be car park cost 12€ a day and 2 single beds make a double ! Overall very good experience and would certainly recommend as a 4 star hotel.

We spend an amazing time at this hotel beginning of September! The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we particularly loved the restaurant! There was a variety of dishes, the staff tidied and served the tables really fast, helped in choosing the best dish, and we especially want to thank the waiter Ramo, who worked really hard and fast to make us customers happy, and him being so positive and attentive, brightened our day every time we met him!! Thank you so much, Ramo!! We will definitely think fondly of our time here and hope to come back again!

From the initial drive into the hotel you get a vibe & it was a lovely setting so that was a good start. Reception was very clean fast & very friendly, could not have been better. We were in room 1603. Again first impressions last, when we entered the room it was airy very clean . The balcony was big with a very nice view of hills & the sea which was lovely for sitting having a quiet drink. Hotel itself is big but very well laid out in lovely grassland. Plenty was of space & loads of sunbeds by the pools & free WiFi throughout the hotel.... The food was buffet style with loads of choice for all tastes & was lovely.... All the staff were very friendly from cleaning staff to animation staff... We will definitely be back as it was a perfect holiday & ticked all the boxes if you want a quiet break...all inclusive even gave named brands such as Smirnoff & Havana club...well done to all the staff for making it a fantastic stay...

Clean, quite, but too quiet. Food is tasty and good with a diversity! At the swimming pool you are feeling like it is for older people. Not able to play good music and when music playing it is very low quality and sound. I don't know but they need to make you happy with music and entertainment!! Tried to buy some sardines but they close at 16:00! Just a few staff members able to speak English.

Just back from a week’s holiday with our 2 kids. A really great trip with all the boxes ticked: super clean, food was fab and the staff (particularly the kid’s club staff) were terrific - whatever you’re paying Pablo…double it! Only issue we had was excessive noise on a couple of the nights. One night was loud chatting and laughing at the pool area around 3.00am. Rooms are not well soundproofed so we could hear everything outside. Second night was from the room above us at around 5.00 or 6.00am. Very loud music and banging. We informed reception but the noise continued for at least 2 hours. I’d suggest improving security overnight. Other than that it was a fantastic week. Special mention to the cooking staff. Most of the buffet food was delicious with lots of choice👍 P.S. I’ve seen a few complaints in other reviews about the beach and the location. All I can say is they should have done their research!🤷 The beach is not a sandy one so don’t expect one! Check out photos on Google Maps before you travel to manage your expectations. And the resort is isolated so if you don’t go all inclusive, you won’t have many local options for dining. Again, a quick Google search will make this obvious from the start. For an all-inclusive, self-contained stay, however, you won’t be disappointed with this resort ☀️🤗

We don’t experience this hotel as a 4 star hotel. The room had a well needed hard bed. No offers regarding water/ coffee in the room. The bathroom had bad smell. The restaurant had good and tasty breakfast- Hurray! Dinner buffet was sadly similar almost every day due the week. Food tasted very little and spices was missing…

Stayed in late September so only half full which was nice. So I had lots of room around the pool and it was not too busy. The pool seems to close around 7pm and a voucher for the pool towel. My Aircon wasn't great and no kettle but a nice fridge, good bathroom and good size room. Good breakfast and a very good buffet restaurant for 25 euro but the same every day. Not too much around with 10mins to Marbella and Estepona. Overall a good total

We stayed here for 3 nights, and were disappointed. The pictures on the website were deceiving and portrayed a slightly more modern ‘young adult’ vibe. In reality it is full of young families. Food quality is really terrible, cheap quality meat that tastes awful. Room was a decent size but outdated. Would not recommend for couples. Definitely would not class this hotel and four star and does not quite fit with the wider Melia brand.

Enjoyd the hotel, we had a suite on the second floor facing garden and ocean. Only drawback was, there should be a comfortable chair instead of two sofa type seats. They were a little uncomfortable. Staff very polite and helpful. We had the 2 meal plan and there was a lot of choice. Would definely go back.

Great 10 days stay at this hotel. Huge bedrooms, comfortable and clean, great service with very professional staff, amazing food, wide selection of dishes for every course. Great cocktails and beautiful sunset views each night.

We were there 6 days and still learning how this place ticks. It was an off-season holiday but the Web info. could have been more up to date as to the fact that 2 of the bars and 1 restaurant were closed. The beach along this whole section is filthy with wet wipes and the like : not directly the hotel's responsibility but hampers the overall enjoyment of the place.

Fantastic hotel, clean with great staff, we had a bungalow with beach towels provided which was great, loads to do round the hotel kids loved it , food it better than what you expect with all inclusive , would definitely recommend

Great pool area and nice rooms with gorgeous views. The room was missing toilet brush and a fan in the bathroom which was a bit strange. Food was mediocre. Breakfast decent, but dinner poorly executed. Awesome receptionist called Pedro saved the day, he is just a great guy. Keep him happy, like he keeps everybody else.

I forgot. You have to pay parking on daily base 10e. Drinks during lunch and dinner time is not included in the price so that's an extra cost. No No towels for pool, no water in the gym, no separated pools for grownups, thats a great minus.

Everything was good, except for the kids entertainment did not know very good English and all was spoken for the Spanish kids ,and cartoontv channel all Spanish, apart from that every thing was good and did enjoy my stay there with my granddaughters

We have never been to a worse hotel. Hotel intended exclusively for parents with children, at 2 o'clock screaming in the hallways so the holiday was ruined. 4 times we asked for a gym that is never available. The beach is completely unused and inaccessible.

Nice location, problem the beach just stones, they should invest for a better beach safe for kids.

Very cold welcome rooms were OK. Everything is so spaced out with very little direction. I was the only person in the bar and it still took about 30 minutes to get served and breakfast was minimal hardly not hot selection. Not sure I'd like to return when it's busy. However looking around at the facilities for kids I can imagine it would be ideal for a young family holiday

Very good place for family holiday. We spent 7 nights that was all inclusive. Following main points that I found good or dissatisfactory: 1. Nice room, cleaned daily. 2. Friendly staff. Except one time, staff was very polite. 3. Food variety was good. 4. Kids friendly and variety of activities. 5. Beach side so nice to see the sunset. Couple of things that I didn't like much: 1. You need to pay for the parking at the resort. For me it was 6 Euro each day. 2. It was very windy due to sea side. All the pools were exposed to gusty wind so didn't enjoy the pool side basking due to heavy wind.

Me and my mate had a great stay at the hotel/resort. We played golf most of the holliday so didnt use or see all of the hotels facilities. Our room was god though, the buffet (morgen and eavening) was great and with a wide selection of dishes. Friendly staff and nice cleaning. Only thing i found anoying was that we had to pay abit to much for parking.

COLD water in pools. In a middle of April. Only for eskimos. Family vacation where kids cannot bath. Room and food OK.

Beautiful resort hotel 13 km from Estepona. Lot's of anti Covid rules, masquerella's all day long, plastic gloves, disinfecting, very clean hotel(apart from what the guests leave for rubbish behind near the pool. Beautiful garden, no nice beach. Ideal for golf. Kitchen basic, vegetables overcooked, can only eat salads all day.

  • 5/5 Jo D. 1 year ago on Google
Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful place to bring young children, with lots to keep them occupied. Great selection of food and drinks, with the buffet regularly replenished. Lovely location with plenty of space for everyone and wonderful views. Pools cool, but welcome in heat of the day. Room was basic and a little dated, but clean and mini fridge was useful. Air con not brilliant, but passable. Overall great holiday and plan on returning.

Recently returned from a family trip 9 nights all inclusive. Fantastic beach front hotel with 2 large pools and a splash zone/kids club area. The food in the Parole restaurant was varied and delicious and the kitchen staff replenished everything quickly. The chocolate fountain was a big hit with the kids!! There's a 'loud' pool with music, entertainment and a bar and a 'quiet' pool with a side kids pool which we preferred. The beach isn't the prettiest I've seen but there are beautiful mountain sunset views! Evening entertainment was varied and actually very good. Lion King and The Greatest Showman stood out for us. The room we stayed in (family suite) was a little basic (not much decoration/painting etc) but did the job. It was spacious with a balcony and a large bathroom, and importantly a efficient and quiet air con. All the staff including the kids club were very friendly and helpful. Those guys work hard!! Thank you Sol Marbella. We all had a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday

  • 5/5 Louisa B. 1 year ago on Google
It's a very well located place. There are 2 pools, 1 noisy for families with young children, the other for adults longing to just relax. The rooms are nice looking and the beds are comfy. The restaurant Parole is buffet style and offers a decent variety of dishes for supper and breakfast. The only downside, parking is not included and waiting time at reception for any request is endless even when there are not that many people. However compared to all the benefits, this is really a minor issue.

We are currently staying here, the place is very clean, beautiful outdoor and view, however nothing like a 4 stars in terms of providing goods, I asked for kettle and they charge money to sell you their tea bags €12 even if you don't want to tea bags you still have to pay to get the kettle plus they take deposit of 20€ If they give you the kettle! The fridge is really not working and we have to keep the milk cold for our baby, they charge 13€ a day for the parking as well! There is no conditioner or little goodie stuff in The bathroom I am sure they will charge a lot for that too! Just very disappointed as I would have expected more from 4*.The staff and their welcoming approach is very average, haven't seen any attentiveness or being friendly like other hotels. It feels a bit disconnected!!!Just a clean place with good play areas for families nothing more and for what you get at least for £180 we paid is way overpriced! Would not stay here again and I would leave if I could get the refund as there is too much side costs on the top.

This is not a 4 star hotel, it must get a 3 stars at most. We had 3 rooms, 8 people, 5 of us got sick (food poisoning). You cannot order a coffee while having lunch. Swimming pools are too crowded. The beach is unpracticable. Parking too expensive, the safe has a cost of 2.5 euros A Day!! A small bottle of water costs also 2 euros at the machines in the lobby, impossible to have a late dinner in the room, no doctors available in the premises if someone get sick. Well, I love Marbella but I won't come back here. The staff is trying his best, we stayed an hour for check in and half an hour for check out. Also there is a woman called Inma at the buffet that is fed up cleaning after kids, well I think that is a family place, you should put people who likes children, if not find your way in an adult hotel only. Thanks anyway
