RESPONSE: This post was originally made 4 months ago but I appreciate your acknowledgment for my efforts. You have a trend of ignoring constructive criticism, as can be seen from many responses over the years. The gym opened in 2014 and it appears from the original photos that you still use some advertising that displays the same equipment. Yes there are a few new items but so there should be after 9 years of constant use. I agree some photos used do make the spa for instance look great but photoshop is an amazing tool. Some photos are not close to current. White and cream tiles should not have yellow stains and white grout imbedded with bacteria and body fat etc. Staff when asked do agree as itā€™s hard to deny but management seem to live in denial. I am not going to pick holes in the response line by line and merely suggest that agreeing with every positive statement whilst contradicting or ignoring every negative statement speaks for itself. A health facility has two key requirements: 1. A clean and healthy space 2. A safe environment for users Price is a matter for you and what people will pay but the approach that people will not pay for 1. Or 2. above does not mean those that will have to suffer the consequences of denial. Downgraded to 1 star as you are living in denial also for removing the gym temperature gauge and putting a label over the wall mounted display so it cannot be read. Itā€™s far too hot. UPDATE: Downgraded from 3 stars to 2 stars because despite putting up prices twice in a very short period, the Spa was closed for 4 months allegedly to change an electrical part and to obtain a small amount of pine panelling for the saunas. Clearly an excuse to cut electricity costs because now members who want to use the spa are expected to change their routine to fit in with half day availability of the sauna and steam room where on certain days it is only open part of any day. If you sell facilities then they need to be available to use at all times of attendance of ALL members. GOOD This business has free parking but itā€™s often full. The cafeteria is excellent though a little expensive. The PĆ”del facility is good and is regularly used. This is one of the better Gyms available BUT two new ones in construction will take members if things donā€™t improve drastically before completion. AVERAGE Problems with machinery wear is slow to be rectified. Reports to staff seem to have little effect and I have twice been injured by lack of action to reports. The roof terrace can be too hot, too cold, or too wet as it has no cover. The prices are too high with declining services and old equipment. The new fans do not cool the air but as the seller states, they are CHEAP TO RUN, and the breeze does give a PERCEIVED IMPRESSION of a lower temperature but only when close to them sadly. POOR Emails are not answered. There is no complaints book in the gym to report issues. Insufficient gym staff who cover classes so are often not in the gym. Apathetic gym staff who could help or manage training and gym protocol properly. As mentioned elsewhere, people hogging equipment whilst using mobile phones should not be allowed and returning equipment to the PROPER PLACE should not be optional. The sand from the PĆ”del court makes the changing room floor a mess and ends up all over the clean bags etc of non users. The cleaning of the changing rooms, showers and spa is unsanitary. The bugs, and bacteria on the floor, tiles and drain outlets is obvious and ignored. The temperature in the gym in summer can be early 30ā€™s when the recommended healthy temperature is early 20ā€™s and for a working environment I am told is illegal over 26. Teaching by example not by notices which when ignored results in no ā€œadviceā€ is not working.

UPDATE 190623 It is only a matter of time until someone feints from the heat in the gym. No proactive use of the inadequate air conditioning. Reactive action is begrudgingly given but often only temporarily. Many users including me are unable to train at the normal pace due to heat fatigue and nausea. What is the legal temperature for a gym as it canā€™t be what we and staff endure? &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& New fans provided in the gym merely circulate the hot air and smell of sweat and drains. Requests to have the air conditioning on are refused now there are fans. Management the clue is in the word ā€œconditioningā€. A fan is pointless and the user complaints are numerous and repetitive. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE US, it is unhealthy.

Edit: Downgrading to one star because of the business reply. When management get defensive instead of solution orientedā€¦. That tells you why the place is the way it is. Noā€¦ machines stay broken for weeks and months. For example the rower machine strap that has been broken for about three months. They also got rid of the kids classes during the summer (when most people add additional kids classes) but we still need to pay monthly for the kids. Ridiculous. Speaking of hygiene, the staff in the kitchen of their cafeteria do not use any gloves to manage the food. I saw this lady with long nails managing food with no protection. They also served me the wrong croissant, I touched it to see if it had ham inside or not. When I realized that it didnā€™t I told the waitress who brought me a croissant from another table and took mine to the table she brought the other one from. Suggestion: if you are going to reply to a future Google review, start with ā€œIā€™m sorryā€ instead of coming across like ā€œwe are best at everythingā€. ā€” I love the idea of the center. Weights room, cafeteria, outdoor gym, great classes, spa, padelā€¦ but the execution is not that great. Front desk could be nicer. They talk to you like they are being forced to. No smiles. No welcoming. No nothing. The gym is decent side for what you can find in the area but itā€™s missing some key machines. Also, many of their machines have issues or are not working. A machine can be out of service for days before it gets fixed. For example, the rowing machine. Other machines are old and thru need replacement. Also, at certain time in the mornings they turn all the lights off and depending on the day you end up working in the dark. I need light for my workouts. The outdoor gym also needs maintenance. The bathroom smells super weird so I totally avoid it other than for washing my hands after each workout. The spa is only working in the evenings so if you go to work out in the morning forget to be able to use it. The paddle courts are a separate fee but they are nice and the cafeteria offers a good selection of foods. Trainers are nice and always smile.

. High up on the hill above the new Parque de los niƱos is this brand-new and extremely well-equipped fitness centre. Impressive! Outside there are 10 padel-tennis courts, and a lovely terrace to sit and stare over the town, down to the sea. Inside there is the most amazing number of fitness machines. rack after rack of them - I have never seen so many in my life! There is an equally impressive list of weekly activities, led by trainers. Zumba, Body Pump, Spinning, Self Defence, Cardio Box, general fitness - over 100 sessions per week in all. Oh, and there's a spa and a physiotherapy section too, in case you overdo it on the courts or the exercise classes! There are a number of membership packages available: daily, weekly, monthly etc. Most useful for holidaymakers is the 15-day package for ā‚¬30, summer 2016 rates. Get fit, get to the Las Mesas! .

Love this gym, have been using for several years during our holidays here. Great front of house team , great equipment and great value for money passes. Also the coffee on the terrace and good selection of snacks and detox drink. Highly recommended.

I am reviewing both the gym and the personal training. My husband (age 72) and I (age 60) have personal training with RaĆŗl twice a week. He is absolutely wonderful! His focus is on mobility, flexibility and balance. Whenever we come in with a pain or stiffness, he alters that day's workout to deal our issues. We always leave feeling better than we did when we arrive! The gym itself is good - lots of cardio machines facing out a huge window with a great view. It's clean and never overcrowded. My biggest complaint is that patrons tend to sit on a machine as if they own it, talking or texting on their phones. Gym personnel will not intervene. I understand there are classes too, but I haven't taken any so can't review them.

I signed up for a NEW local gym but still have membership to use up at Las Mesas. I am enjoying my new gym so much that I hardly visit now. I donā€™t use the PĆ”del or any classes and I donā€™t need to park a car so I understand the NEW gym is not for everyone. Also like ALL gyms there are times to avoid if possible. Itā€™s a pity Las Mesas did not heed the numerous complaints regarding price, temperature, cleanliness and ageing equipment as the number of ex members I am seeing all state the same reasons for moving. The only benefit I have noticed whilst using up my membership is that the place is a lot emptier. Not good for income and expenditure but great for those who donā€™t like change. On the down side the air conditioning has not been on during any visit so clearly money is tight.

Great padel courses and lessons available both for kids and adults, regardless of level. There is also a mix in on Saturday and Sunday mornings which you can join to be paired off to play with random partners. The gym itself is spacious and offers plenty of classes, and boasts a decent amount of equipment if you prefer solo training.

It's very big, so it doesn't feel crowded, which is always a plus in a gym. It's also very bright, with huge windows. They offer a variety of different classes like Zumba, yoga, pilates... The only downside is that they don't have a swimming pool, but considering what it offers it's fine. Recommend 100%

Great place to play Padel. Very well run. If you can't organise four people to play Padel, they can do that for you. They also have a very well equipped and modern gym. Only thing lacking is a swimming pool. Prices are neither expensive nor cheap.
