What an amazing museum. Road museum - sounds boring but actually a very interesting insight in to the world of roads. There is a little museum abot the history of roads and plus an outdoor area filled with important transportation, roadworks and miscellaneous vehicles.

Really super interesting (also for women). Great old machines, lots of information on driving safety and technology. You can sit here and virtually test your driving behavior. Beautiful old cars and lots of Estonian history - right back to the Middle Ages. Your children are in good hands, there is an entire floor for the family. With play and relaxation facilities, as well as a kitchen. Covid requirements are strictly adhered to. Since a lot is also outside, make sure that you don't catch a rainy day. Absolut friendly and nice staff. We recommend!

Super cool place where to spend a day with small boys. There was a lot to see, climb, ride and touch. Would have been even more, if our attention span would be bigger. Visited with two boys of 1.5 and 2 years old. Tried the big wheeled bicycle. OMG, was terrifying experience. One can ride it but can't figure out how to get off it 😅

Excellent museum, especially good for smaller children. A lot of old and interesting machines from soviet times. Some cool machines from modern Estonian times (like grocery shop and bank-truck). Very good playground, driving area. As usual, museum is skilfully blending with landscape.

Highly recommend to everyone. Fun for the kids and nostalgic moments for adults who grew up in Eastern Europe, and of course exiting expeditions for those who didn’t.

Exhibition on Estonian transportation history in the main house, horse carriages on display and machine hall with vehicles. Educational walk along the development of roads and road infrastructure over time. Perfect for approx 2 hrs of light education. Sadly only 50% of texts are translated to English.

This tourist gem is little bit hidden. Definitely worth the visit. You can learn a lot of about Estonian roads, buy some souvenirs or just take great photos. Kids will love this place.

A fascinating museum where you could spend a whole day. I love everything about it - the location, layered open-air architecture, nostalgic approaches and interactive exhibition. You could touch, climb or enter almost every machine/bus/car in the exhibition, learn about history of roads and communications, visit traditional road side pub. It's probably best for families with children, since children have their own museum areas both indoors and outdoors. Entertaining and informative, it's one of my favorite museums in Estonia.

Me and my cousins visited this place while we were residing in Tartu, it's about a 40 minute drive. We loved this place as there are many vehicle models and interactive experiences where you can even climb into them 😀.

Great place, great entertainment! All the eras in estonian road and vehicle history in one place. Plan at least 4 hours when with kids.

Great underestimated museum. You must visit it, especially with kids. A lot of fun interactive stuff, really nice and sweet road. Very interesting exposition.

It might sound boring to visit a museum for roads. But it turns out that there are a lot of facts of road building and maintaining that usually would remain unnoticed. Certainly one needs a certain affection for the details of traffic signs, road construction materials and machinery - but if one does, this museum is a jewel. Our guide was also very well prepared and made sure we all stay interested during the whole tour. She asked questions and kept us attentive, which definitely enriched the experience. Good museum with a nice restaurant next to it whicj offers a pretty good pulled pork burger dish.

Fun with even small kids because there is a children's museum with lots of toys and books to play with on one full floor. Lots of machinery and activities for young and old.
