This
hotel
is
supposed
to
be
rated
as
a
4
star
hotel,
but
it
is
a
solid
2
star
hotel.
Here
is
why:
First
you
have
to
find
the
parking
lot,
which
is
at
the
back
of
the
hotel
but
it
has
the
name
of
a
different
hotel
on
it.
Once
you
park,
you
step
out
of
the
car
onto
a
floor
which
seems
to
be
designed
to
break
your
ankles
and
definitely
break
any
high
heels.
As
you
enter
the
hotel,
you
are
confronted
by
the
overpowering
smell
of
mold,
so
hold
your
breath.
The
furniture
in
the
lobby
is
old
and
falling
apart.
You
get
to
the
elevator
and
go
to
your
room,
it
makes
a
sound
that
makes
it
feel
unsafe.
You
get
to
your
room,
the
door
handle
feels
so
loose
that
you're
afraid
to
turn
it
because
you
may
break
it.
Now
it
is
time
to
decipher
the
lock.
An
old
fashioned
flat
metal
key
which
you
hope
opens
your
room
but
it
takes
you
a
couple
of
minutes
to
figure
out.
Now
you
are
safe
in
your
room.
But
are
you?
There
is
no
safe
in
the
room
and
with
such
an
unsafe
door,
you
can't
feel
totally
secure,
plus
the
hotel
doesn't
take
responsibility
for
items
stolen
from
your
room.
The
furniture
is
old,
dirty,
and
humid.
The
pillow
cases
are
yellowed
by
time
and
sweat.
Shall
we
hang
out
clothes?
Sure,
if
you
want
it
to
smell
of
mildew.
By
this
point
you
feel
filthy
just
by
walking
through
the
hotel
and
your
room.
Time
for
a
bath.
But
wait,
look
at
the
color
of
the
water,
it
is
brown
and
it
smells
bad.
Now
you
decide
to
take
a
shower
instead,
by
the
time
you
finish,
you
are
exhausted
from
a
day
of
traveling
and
having
to
deal
with
the
disappointment
that
is
this
hotel.
Lets
just
go
upstairs
for
dinner,
at
the
elevator
there
was
a
sign
which
said
the
restaurant
is
open
for
dinner
every
day
from
19:30.
You
get
to
the
restaurant
at
19:45
and
it
is
closed.
You
go
down
to
reception
and
ask
at
what
time
it
will
open,
they
inform
you
that
it
never
opens
for
dinner
and
hasn't
done
so
since
before
COVID.
"But
why
do
you
advertise
it
then?"
You
ask,
"Just
ignore
it,
it's
been
on
the
elevator
since
I
can
remember,
but
the
restaurant
never
opens
for
anything
other
than
breakfast."
You
have
had
enough,
you
ask
for
a
refund,
no.
They
aren't
authorized
to
refund
you
a
penny
if
you
booked
in
any
other
way
than
through
them
directly.
A
perfectly
good
trip
ruined
by
a
terrible
hotel.
