Probably the worst food and service in my 2 months in Portugal, which drove me to write a review. Basically zero service, cold food- had to leave 90% of our meals, no cutlery given until we asked the 3rd waiter and even that took 15 minutes. We gave up on asking for ketchup/mayonnaise and salt/pepper as our requests were acknowledged and ignored, there was no point wasting more of the day and no sauce could have improved the food. Maybe get more staff, and roll out some hospitality training. Ended up finding a much better spot further down the beach…

NOT RECOMMENDED, run away. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. The blond lady with slightly curly hair and glasses should not work in services. I would never come back again. They claim that after 12 they attend you, noone attended me, so I was left without a drink. I was just completely ignored. The food was good, can’t say a word against it. I had a fish of a day. It was fast and tasty. The prices are higher than in other places.

Been coming to this place for years. Good food, nice vibes. Brought my wife's family on a Wednesday morning to introduce them, they are visiting Lisbon for the first time. I was "welcomed" by a grumpy Brazilian woman, who seemed to be in charge. She was very eager to present the house rules: EUR 30 per sunbed, max 2 people each, plus all the consumption must be from the house while you are on the beach (yes, standing on the sand). We could not even drink our own water. I was willing to pay for the sunbeds, of course, as it's the norm everywhere. But this woman seemed very interested in not having customers. The place was completely empty, and so it stayed. I'll come back some other day, hoping things become better again.

Great place!! Lovely food!! Spent the day here rented sun lounges for the day costing €20. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Toilets were clean

Great view on top of the beach, good coffee, very nice waiters and counter employees. Accessibility for wheelchairs. Esplanade. Homemade deserts. But what striked me the most was the ethics of the owner in a specific interaction due to a communication of a client who needed to return one desert. I admire people like this. Godspeed!

We were not allowed to sit with a miniature poodle on the terrace even tho it was almost empty. The explanation was: "dogs are not allowed inside" and whilst we tried to suggest that the terrace is outside, the waitress didn't blink. Completely loose respect for a place where a waiter is trying to exercise their power muscle...

Fantastic Oceanview and Sunset with free wifi, kitchen and bar 😜 so you can either relax or work remotely looking at unbelievable landscape 🔥 beach is awesome as well. Playground for kids is 100 meters nearby 🤗

Cafe/restaurant with big outside area and terrace at the beach. The vegan wrap was surprisingly good and came with some small sides. Worth a try!

A great restaurant chill lounge on the promenade of Carcavelos beach. They have great music (djs) regularly. The food is tasty and the drinks are cold.

This was our second time visiting Windsurf Cafe. We had been a few days earlier to grab a cappuccino (which was good). We were looking to grab dinner and watch the sunset on the ocean. This is a great place for just that. Their Windsurf burger was excellent. The staff was great. The only reason I gave our experience 4 stars is that our food came out quite late. People who had arrived after us received their food first so, there seemed to have been some miscommunication with the wait staff and the kitchen. Otherwise, great time!

Fantastic food, great views and lovely staff. What more could you ask for from a beach side cafe. We had the most delicious octopus and potato dish with plenty of bread to mop up the juices! Can't wait to come back again.

Unfortunately I have to say I came twice here and both times not happy. First time I ordered a sandwich and it was super dry. On top it was super expansive. Living here since a while the price was not in relation to the quality. Second time I came alone (!). They had 10 (!) Free tables outside and it was 5pm but they said they only want to seat me inside (!) Because they said the tables were for larger groups and they were sure it gets more busy.I told them I am happy to move inside when they need the table but they insisted I go inside. For me the attitude towards customer service isn't the customer is king more the restaurant because of the location and the footfall on tourism. There are other super nice restaurants on this beach e.g. La Plage.

My partner and I visited this Cafe for lunch and we loved it. The Gin Sangria pitcher was light and refreshing with mango and passion fruit. 30€ for a pitcher seemed like a lot but it had us feeling very nice for our entire beach day so it was worth it! We shared an app of batata fritta and the spicy shrimp wrap. Both were just as delicious as they look in the photos online. The portions were enough for us to share and still feel full. (We don't like eating too much before swimming.) The views from the dining area are beautiful.

Super place to chill and get some cover away from the early evening heat. Nice beer with fantastic views. Very friendly staff will to help non Portuguese speaker.

Amazing food! Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at a beach café. Ate here for a late lunch with 8 other people and they all enjoyed their meal. Already making plans to go back during my vacation.

Great place to sit with an ocean view. The prices reflect that. We had toasties and they were HUGE it would have been fine to share one! Friendly staff and a very chilled atmosphere

"must visit" place ✨ We were served with the really well prepared octopus and deserts (apple pie and cheesecake). Stuff was very friendly and smiley knowing Menu very good and were able to suggest food based on our request. From the stuff especially I would like to say thankful words to Leo (our waiter) - he is really client oriented and very helpful, attentive to the needs person. Hope to visit this place again 😃

I have been going here for as long as I can remember. It's relaxing and the service is always on point, friendly and helpful. Congrats to the management as they have understood how to keep their clientele.

First I need to thank the amazing waitress I had while visiting this place she was a blond Brazilian super nice to me and my grandma, attentive / polite/ fast and funny! My 96 year old grandma loved her so for service 10\10 The food - we ordered 3 dishes as snacks, everything fresh and well made with lots of fresh ingredients like parsley garlic cilantro peppers and chilli's all delicious We had octopus salad, garlic shrimps, garlic bread (could do without) some croquetes and a very nice sangria everything was tasty but honestly maybe because I was friendly they were soo nice and we're able to accommodate my grandma on the first floor the waitress was soo nice including everyone working there she had the best experience!!! I really recomend this place the food is good, as well as the service at least the one I received, cocktails were very nice too.... Its not "cheap" but once in a while it's nice to go to a place like this get some really good food and drinks, this was my 3rd time here I never had a good service except for this last time maybe because I came early but I will definetly come again after my last experience
