We’ve got misleaded by the word of “Specialty” from the dessert menu saying Crepes Suzette(“Specialty”) that costs 30 euro! See below pic - that was we’ve got on our table!!! Go figure out how could this costs 30 euro as we were puzzled when it was brought to our table. I was confused, thought the kitchen might be making a mistake as no way this is so called “Specialty”! So I called for the server and requested the menu again to reconfirm - Crepes Suzette(Specialty) and the server said “YES!!! I don’t know why it served like that!”. Customer service could’ve been more welcoming and improved. Most of their servers making you feel like they were really tired and frustrated of working there. The restaurant does provides beautiful view of the ocean and cosy atmosphere unfortunately its definitely not justified for what they’ve been charging their customers with the average food quality and poor customer service! Such a shame despite in such a beautiful historical building! Our first and last time! NOT recommended :( UPDATE: Dear Madam Sara, thank you for your time on explaining the said Crepes Suzette(Specialty). Regrettably, we did left with confusion and unpleasant experience as we didn’t get neither the proper answer from your server, nor your server showing us on the bottle liquors as what you’ve mentioned below nor any liquors information on the said menu. All we’ve got was just the cold plate of crepes being served right on our table along side with the “frustrated attitude” energy of your server. If I may, I might add it’s also disappointing you can’t understand criticism and feel like your guests are price sensitive or maybe cheap! We do dine in many Michelin Starred restaurants in the world and we’ve paid the prices you mentioned for a shot of drink or dessert but in such restaurants they’ll NEVER prepare and serve cold ugly dish to their guests and drop it on the table and go just because it uses expensive liquors! It’s our opinion that since it was past 3 pm your servers were in a hurry to close and leave and I assure you if they served your other clients the same way they did us you will hear the same comments.

Lovely building and rooms with traditional setting and polite waiters. Clients appear to be regulars and value tradition, but… At 80€/person food quality didn’t meet expectations, not even close. On top of that, most likely I got food poisoning with the steak tartar (it was the only food during the weekend I didn’t share with my wife and she’s fine). I know raw meet has its risks, even in good restaurants, but I’d really avoid this place. Definitely not worth the price.

Wonderful food, lovely service! Charming people. A must-visit destination which is not crowded at all. A hidden gem in Cascais. It sometimes bills itself as Cimas English Bar, though it is not particularly English, nor a bar. What it is though, is a classic French-style Escoffier influenced restaurant, specializing in game. I am puzzled by those who say this restaurant is too expensive. We thought it was astoundingly reasonably priced. We had Jamon Iberico/Pata Negra, Escargots, Artichoke, and white asparagus with hollandaise, followed by partridge in wine sauce with creamed spinach and turnip greens. For dessert, Crepes Suzette in the traditional flambé manner. Would you expect all of this at fast food prices? For the quality of the ingredients, care of the cooking and excellence of the service, we thought it was a steal. Very reasonable. Everything was perfectly cooked. The decor is... eclectic. Speaking as Brit, I can’t say that the stuffed woodcock, who — from its expression — was actually awake while the taxidermy was being performed, immediately made me say “Ah! Britain!” But I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. If Fawlty Towers had superb food, this would be that restaurant. We have only one minor regret. The website says “The Wine Cellar, with 20.000 bottles, is a priceless treasure, where all wine regions are thoroughly represented, bearing the most important vineyards and some novelties. Impossible to miss.” Yet we missed it. We love wine and that description brought us there. Unfortunately, on the evening we visited, the wines from that cellar were unavailable. There was a perfectly decent, if young, 3 or 4 page wine list with a couple of Portuguese regions represented (reasonable prices again). For example there were no Baga/Bairrada wines, though they pair so well with game, this restaurant’s specialty, but requests to see the whole list met only polite chuckles. Given the fascinating history of the place (spies, intrigue, the whole nine yards) we feel that there is a code word we needed to provide which we simply didn’t know. Not to worry. We plan to return and try again. You should too. Our disappointment about the wine list does not take away from our delight in the evening. Highly recommended.

The food is very overpriced, it’s decent. The problem was that I wasn’t informed of the ingredients in the dishes. I’ve ordered cold asparagus, which they said will come with ‘vinaigrette’, which contained eggs. I do not eat eggs as I don’t like them, but I think this should be mentioned in the ingredients. I than ordered monkfish that was said to come with prawns. It also contained bacon and I do not eat pork, as many other people and would not order it if I knew it was there. It tasted decent but not great considering I don’t eat pork. You can see the picture below, can it really cost 38 €? The desserts and the wine were great, stuff are attentive and the terrace view is beautiful

Not too bad. I like the staff. Old school guys with a smile and great sense of humour. Overall it's Portuguese cooking, can you ever go wrong?

I believe that this restaurant deserves something more than 5 stars due to the fact that there is alvays something above the menu, quality and quantity of the dishes, abundant choice of rare wines, and cosiness and ambience on the whole. Namely I mean the attentiveness of the waiters thanks to which any guest may feel like a king. The prices are a bit higher but what else would you expect in such a place?

Gorgeous view of the sailboats and windsurfers. The food is incredible. Prepared with impeccable attention to detail. The owners are friendly and greet you as family. The atmosphere is rustic, like a hunting lodge with wood, leather, and iron. Highly recommend the gem. You will want to stroll the hills and boardwalk of Estoril after this satisfying meal!

(Translated by Google) Warning ! Restaurant very upscale. We ended up reading the comments. I read "cheap", so it depends on who. The crepe suzette 28 €, the vanilla ice cream ball and hot chocolate 14 € and the cheapest dish on the card 26 €. A bottle of water and a beer: 17 € 😂. By cons it is very very good and the person who speaks French and who took care of us is super nice. In conclusion this restaurant is for guests with a well filled portfolio. (Original) Attention !

Excellent food and fabulous service. Myself and my wife dined at this restaurant this evening the food was absolutely to die for and the waiters couldn't do enough for us I particularly liked the final preparation of the food at the table by the waiters. We hope to come back some day.

Great food. The decor seems a little dated and the service is a bit fussy. My expectations were low. But the food was all delicious. I had a gazpacho that was simple and tasty, followed by a wiener schnitzel that was perfectly cooked. The prices are a little high but the food is worth it.

I do not recommend! very bad place! not hospitable staff! came to the empty restaurant with the children, ordered drinks and realized that everything is reserved for the delegation and there will be many people, decided to change the place to less humane. Dissatisfied, the angry waiter took the snacks that the children were eating at the time. You don't order anymore, you're not human.

My sister and I spent 200,00 euros was not worth the money. The tomato soup with poached egg tasted like it came out of a can, and the egg was hard boiled instead of poached. The Partridge was dry and overcooked. The sole was good but not 40,00 euros good. They did make a very good manhattan but you don’t go to a fine restaurant just for cocktails. Overall I would say, stay away and spend your money somewhere else

I stumbled upon this place my first night in Lisbon walking from my hotel. I was tired and starving. This place usually requires reservations but they fit me in. Every part of the dining experience was amazing. This restaurant has the fine attention to detail that only comes with age and skill. The wait staff including a sommelier to help me with a pairing for my dinner all explained what the offerings are in English which was very helpful. As a Portuguese American coming home to the country of my grandparents who told me about the kindness and great pride of our people my entire life this was the perfect dinner experience to make me feel at home. It was so divinely intended as I was meant to find this sweet charming place on a night my heart wished I could have known more from them about this country I was about to discover. It was the blessed hug I needed. The atmosphere felt like a comfortable English pub but the heart is certainly Portuguese.

King Crab had shells all through the dish. The sauteed green beans were very oily and super soft, not al dente. Fries were average. Lemonade was good and fresh. The bread toast and paté is not worth ordering, nothing mind blowing. Far too expensive for what you get. Servers are friendly and welcoming. They have baby highchair

If you want to have a meal flavoured with cigarette smoke in a 1960s type restaurant, go to the open air top floor and enjoy. Unhelpful waiters and unpleasant maitre. We left before trying the menu and before causing a scene.

Food was ok, really not that great. The restaurant was pretty empty and the waiters had not much to do so they were acting busy and fiddling with our cutlery and glasses the whole time. The owner was helping us select menu items and presented it in such a way that the dish came with extras, where in reality everything she mentioned was a separate highly overpriced side dish. €8 for a few slices of old bread, €10 for a small plate of spinach etc. I guess that's what you get as a tourist :/

Very cosy place, with tradicional Portuguese food. Several star dishes to try: alheira de caça, bife à English Bar, perdiz de escabeche. But be prepared to pay $$$. If you have a sweet tooth try the crepe Suzette or banana flambé! 🤤

(Translated by Google) The location is beautiful, and has a rustic and cozy atmosphere, compared to the food with a very bad taste compared to the price it has. In itself site / location / recommendation of several, you already have a cost per covered of € 4 (nothing alarming), the soda / beer comes out € 5, being a sad can of Coca-Cola at least they could present a glass container of more than 33cl ..... water € 6 and the main dishes and appetizers ..... the sad mixed salad with romaine lettuce and sliced tomatoes, the baked cod specialties € 36 (I've tried better to better price), the sirloin was good not spectacular € 34. After a misunderstanding with one of the waiters about a spinach cream (which we insisted that if it was a spoon, soup, we nodded that if and in the end it was a pasty mazacote) the only solution he gave us was to "sell" a cream of vegetables .... that is to say cream of vegetables and that charged us also the spinach ..... so good service at the time of distributing to the diner but kindness for his part no, gladly I pay what is due but very discontent usually Postscript and clarifications by the place. I have emphasized in the above described, that if it is worth it I pay it gladly, being susceptible to the price only comes when the product does not cope with it, you can define the spinach cream to the taste that you prefer, but a cream / soup was asked for the problem Dell have a child of 3 years to give the closest thing to a soup, so he stressed the UNDERSTANDED EVIL and the little importance that the service gave him to mend it, from mistakes he learns, no excuses are sought. Saludos coordiales
