I am a carnivore and was very much looking forward to a rodizio at Fogo de Chão when we visited Cascais in September, 2018. I didn't leave drooling, but I was not disappointed. I'm skipping the education on what a rodizio is. Presumably you know that already. That said, Fogo de Chão offers 5 menu options: 1) Buffet only: €11 2) Mini-rodizio - no beef: €16 3) Traditional rodizio: €19 4) Special rodizio - only beef: €22 5) Executive rodizio - "Our signature steak, picanha represents the art and science of churrasco cooking. Lightly seasoned with rock salt and sliced thin, it is tender with a robust flavor.": €25 I opted for the traditional. (Why I didn't spend €6 more for the executive, I don't know. I'll just say I was overwhelmed.) I had some sausages that were decent, not great. I skipped on any chicken that came my way. My first beef encounter was not very good. I don't know what it was and due to a language barrier, the gaucho couldn't tell me either. He just kept saying it was "beef!" I had about 5 different cuts. The last, and again, I have no idea what it was, was mouth-watering. My wife had the buffet and I did venture to it for some samples. Neither of us were impressed by it. We still highly recommend Fogo de Chão in Cascais, though, if you're a meat eater. Where else can you get unlimited steak for €25 or unlimited meat in general for €19?

Fogo de Chao always had a good selection of meats, in my experience. Except this time. You get an allowed numbered selection of meats when you order. First off they bring a chicken leg and a sausage, really!! - 2 down. Very disappointed in that. We ate maybe 4 different meats. ( we ordered the 20€ selection. The hot grilled pineapple was delicious! We didnt have dessert. We had a whole bowl of rice and a whole bowl of beans left over that we did not eat. They would not let us take those home. We asked what they would do with our leftover rice and beans. They said "throw it out"!!! 😳What!! All that food thrown out!!! Are you kidding me!!! What a waste of food!!! Very sad. Not sure I will go back here because of this. Loved Fogo de Choa in the he States. This does not even compare!! Not sure I will go back.

We were here for dinner yesterday and tried many different meats that the staff brought to the table. They were very attentive and did a good job. The food was also good - so far. After a while, we both witnessed a rumble of thunder in both our stomachs. An avalanche was on it's way out and it wouldn't stop for anything! We decided to leave. As soon as we left the restaurant, the trouble begun and we both already regretted not taking the opportunity to find relief in the local restroom. We rushed to our car, already on the verge of failure. 194 horsepower turned into 800 as we flew through Cascais at the speed of light. As the rumbling grew louder we soon realised we are not dealing with an avalanche - this is a vulcano and it's about to erupt. As we arrived, my co-driver jumped out, rushed upstairs and occupied the first restroom. Parking turned out to be the most difficult part of what felt like the longest journey of my life. Luckily we have two restrooms, so we both spent our evening on the porcelain throne. Was it worth it? No. The way home were the most stressful 20 minutes of my life and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Maybe we were just unlucky that day, because all other reviews here do not mention anything like that. Just be careful and if you decide to have dinner here, make sure that you don't have any other appointments afterwards.

Nice place to go. There is a lot of food so make sure to come there hungry. Lots to eat for every palate. The meat is delicious and the service super quick by very nice employees. It feels a bit like a canteen at times but it is part of the concept. A really good moment spent there and reasonable prices.

For my experience I recommend the restaurant, nice staff very attentive, you have a great variety of options and not that expensive. I don’t eat salt soo for my all the was too salty, that’s why I couldn’t eat much but for the rest. No doubt.

There are many kinds of grilled meats which are special and delicious parts. Especially, beef style is delicious and prices are fair according to the service you get. It is up to you how much you can eat, they are bringing meat to your table serviced by the incumbents until you feel full and an open salad bar you can taste every kind of special style of salads as well.

Great service and very nice meat! We wanted to find a restaurant for my partner's birthday and he loves beef so it was difficult to choose as meat is not the speciality here. A taxi driver recommended Fogo de Chão and it didn't disappoint. A Brazilian concept with some really nice meats. We ordered the special barbecue grill and got to try garlic beef, sirloin, tenderloin, ribeye, beef and pork ribs, chicken in bacon, chorizo, chicken hearts, fried banana, roast pork among others... The buffet was good too and if you don't go especially for the meat, you can eat for less money by just having the buffet as there's lots of choice. Be warned the dessert trolley that they bring to your table is extra (and very good, I recommend the coconut flan!) And so is the digestif trolley. With drinks, the more expensive meat deal, half a bottle of red wine, dessert and brandy we paid 86€ for two people.

Great selection of Brazilian food on offer at reasonable prices too. Recommended.

Looks like the place was either bought out or changed ownership because this definitely isn't the same level of quality you'd expect from Fogo. That being said the experience was pleasant and the food was decent. €20 for the dinner buffet.

For a typical Brazilian "rodizio" experience, this is the place to go. The buffet is tempting but it fills already half your stomach before even starting the constant flow of skewered, grilled chicken, beef, sausages, pork, pineapple. Very good and if you haver eten a rodizio yet, an absolute must!

We are regulars to Fogo de chao in lisbon so drive 20 minutes to try the one in Cascais. Firstly its in centre of Cascais so don’t expect to find a parking too near. The food was good as always but very hard to reach the meat to you. And big tables are given priority all the time. Other fogo de chao we ate never had plates empty until we are done. Here you need to wait until they feel like will come to your table to give meat. But food is delicious as always but this kind of service is not how we expect from a well known restaurant like this was expecting better. I am writing this because i want the management to improve this facts and still recommend this restaurant for the people who like to eat.
