What an absolutely lovely place this is! The location is wonderfully tucked back in the hills on the approach to Sintra about half way between Cascais and Sintra. It appears to have been part of an old Village and the hotel’s lounge was actually the village chapel at one time, the hotel itself, an old Mansion. Rooms are just beautifully appointed in the classic sense with modern touches such as the bathrooms. Lovely modern infinity pool looking out at the surrounding hills. The staff is wonderful, just what you need after a long trip, nice and helpful with a smile! My wife and I will definitely be back!

While this boutique hotel may be located off the beaten track down a strange semi-industrial road, once you get into the confines of this truly beautiful bishop’s palace, it is all about tranquility. We stayed in the penthouse (reasonably priced) which had it’s own lounge, galley kitchen and spa-style bathroom. Both the hosts were very helpful and accommodating, to the point of rescuing my toiletries and keeping them safe till I could come back for them! Breakfast was mostly a continental affair, but they also serve a very crispy bacon and silky scrambled egg if you so wished. Whiled away our last couple of hours before a sensible midday check out by the pool, towels provided. In summary: a beautiful setting and great customer experience.

Paco do Bispo is a thoughtfully restored and modernized guest house that maintains its historic charm. 🏰 While a bit off the beaten path, it's really a quick Uber out of town and a welcome escape from the bustle of the city. We went to town daily for just a few Euros each way. 📍 We stayed in the family suite on the top floor and appreciated the sweeping views, ample closet space, and gorgeous mirrored bathroom. Jacuzzi tub anyone? 🛋️ The communal lounge was a truly winsome surprise! The design and thoughtful art made for such a great place to relax, snap some unique photos, and have a cocktail on the luxurious velvet furniture. 🍹 Daily breakfast was equally delightful with a varied spread of fresh fruits, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and other continental staples. We were offered complimentary bacon and scrambled eggs which were both delicious, and other a la carte items were available for a small charge. 🥐 The pool was chilly as we visited in the off season, but it's a gorgeous place to lounge, relax, and is very 'gram-worthy! 📸 Finally, the staff was wonderful and accommodating as well! The small team ran a tight ship ensuring our bags were carried up to the room before we even finished check-in, mixed us cocktails in the lounge while waiting for an Uber, and attending to every detail during breakfast so we could just sit and enjoy the art, sunshine, and our meals. 👥 We had a truly lovely stay and if we're ever back in Portugal we'll be back to stay again! ♥️

Room was very comfortable and clean, loved the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was tasty and given for free. We checked out a bit late but staff was friendly and understanding. Only downside is the location as it is a bit far from the centre but overall the experience was 10/10

A delightful find, totally by accident-looking quickly for a 2 night stay while in Portugal and plans changed. Must have a car though as it is a bit out of the way. Rooms were large and well appointed. Comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast and convenient to Sintra and the surrounding area.
