Very good food - peking duck, steamed bao, prawns in a beautiful setting. Service not as good as before due to Covid - no young staff. Also sad they still serve endangered food - birds nest & shark fin.

I’m a Cantonese and I have to say this is the best Cantonese even Chinese restaurant in Portugal. Food are very closed to those in China. You want real Chinese food? You should come to this one.

If you're used to fine dining and great service, stay away. My wife ordered a peach ice tea (which is bottled here) but there was a mold ring. We brought it up and they brought us another opened bottle. We asked for them to open the bottle infront of us and they recapped the 2nd bottle and pretended to open it. Unacceptable and unsanitary. The worst is I understand Portuguese and the waiter advised the server to do as mentioned above.

This is one of my favorite lunch spot in Cascais. There aren’t many people for lunch in general, I always got a table with nice view. The service is excellent most of dimsums are delicious as well as many seafoods.

Really Chinese typical restaurant, the food was really good and quality type, the prices are acceptable taking in consideration the luxury of the place, I will definitely come back

The dim sum is good but the noodles is terrible. Price is expensive but good quality. Nice atmosphere.

It's a good place to have a nice lunch / dinner with family and friends, the staff is great as well, a lot of variety in the food/menu, one drawback is that the items that day are spicy aren't spicy enough as they should be. But overall it's a great place too have a good meal

They're quick to say "The Mandarin is the best Asian restaurant in Europe." In my experiece on 5/10/22 NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH! It's not even the best on the block! The sliced duck tasted like cooked jerky - probably cut up before freezing, goodness knows how long ago and then defrosted in the microwave - as tough and dry as crocodile's skin and totally TASTELESS. I nearly cracked my jawbone trying to chew it. The noodles were not much better, slapped together and submerged in a bath of highly liquid, tasteless sauce of no particular description. Disgraceful!!!

One of the tasteless Peking duck I've ever had! Ended with an indigestion and did not sleep for the whole night! Very negative experience, can't believe we paid for that!

One of the worst Chinese food and service ever. Stuck in the eighties: old furniture and decoration, MSG and cornflour in abundance, ‘relaxing’ more likely annoying background music. I usually avoid writing negative reviews unless it is more of a warning: I should have noticed something is going wrong when the mushroom soup was made of cheap canned mushrooms. Food was either over cooked (dim sum) or undercooked. Some dishes (shrimp) were so bad we didn’t touch. not even one single waiter cared to ask us what’s wrong. The chef doesn’t care, the waiters don’t care, and so you shouldn’t.

Food arrived cold, came back microwaved, service was ok but slow. Food tasted average compared to Chinese food outside of Asia and I've had better tasting at other Chinese restaurants in Lisbon. Maybe I got them on a bad day!

Incredible food, excellent 'old style' service in an amazing atmosphere. Although prices are slightly higher than average, it is well worth it and would highly recommend!

For a regular Chinese food eater in Vancouver and Toronto and occasionally in Beijing. This is poor in comparison, though occasionally I like to dip the tongue.. We do like the service and location though it hardly feels authentic. I accept that Portugal doesn’t feature authentic Chinese food. The varieties are usually sweet / sour and limited. When you try the myriad of choices available in China and Canada this is inferior and doesn’t do credit to the variety of Chinese cuisine out there.

Lovely Restaurant, but if your looking for the same type of curry you'd get back home your in for a shock, curry was barely warm and had no kick in it either, looked more like stew. Also staff were overbearing I like to pour my own drink I don't like someone coming over every 5 minutes topping it up. We went once wouldn't go back even if they offered us a free meal.

(Translated by Google) In spite of some employees serving the table with sleeves rolled up above the elbows, the Peking Duck came to the table already cold ... in short, that the pandemic is not the excuse. Negative feedback! (Original) Mau grado alguns funcionários servirem à mesa de mangas arregaçadas acima dos cotovelos, o pato pequim, veio à mesa já frio... enfim, que a pandemia não seja a desculpa. Avaliação negativa!

(Translated by Google) Classic Cantonese restaurant with 80/90 style decor and service. We only eat small plates (which is a little more affordable) and so we can taste a little of everything. It was a very pleasant gastronomic experience where I would return.

Our 8-person group had a great lunch at the Mandarim today. Started with assorted dim sum. Although they have a long list, all pieces were fresh and tasty. Then the assorted main dishes were also great. Since we stuck to the basic dishes and had only three bottles of the house white, the total was under 25 euros a head including a generous tip. Disclosure: Before moving to Cascais, we lived in the San Francisco area for 30 years. We know what great dim sum is.
