Beautiful trail which leads to an incredibly nice viewpoint over Echternach. Takes about a half an hour walk from the Bel Air hotel / bus stop to get there. Across this hotel walk up the small steps, go left and follow the trail until you reach the paved road. Take a right here, so don't keep following the E1 trail. You should notice a colorful sign with Wolfsschlucht there pointing you to walk up right off the stone wall building. Follow that trail going up. At the intersection keep right following the sign pointing to the Mullertal trail in 50 meters. Once you get to the sign post with many different routes and directions take the route going up. Just follow this trail and after some time you'll get to a point with steps going up at both sides and steps going down if you go straight. Take the steps up on the right and you'll get to the viewpoint. Even when raining badly you can still walk this trail. Not that muddy and quite a bit covered by trees.

Gorges du Loup or Wolfsschlucht is definitely worth a visit. The whole loop E1 is worth doing or if you just want to do the best part you can always decide to take the bus back.... Best is to go from Berdorf to Echternach

An easy hike from Echternach the Wolf's Gorge is an interesting ramble. There are quite a lot of steps but you're rewarded with some great views. Plus, this is the only place in Europe I have ever seen a mole in the wild.

"La Petite Suisse" is the beautiful region between Diekirch and Echternach where the forests are intersected by very narrow gorges or "schlucht". The Wolfsschlucht or Gorge du Loup is one of the most spectacular natural monuments in this region; the mossy rock walls here reach 40 to 50 meters high. The gorge has been open to tourism since 1881 and is easily accessible on foot from Echternach. Highly recommended.

Given 5 stars as hard to give a rating for a natural 'attraction'. Will say that it is towering and awe inspiring. Was hard to find based on Google maps. We ended up parking by the cemetery in Echternach, and at the end of the road (back in the direction of the Google hint for where the gorge is) there are signs to follow the E1 trail. It was signposted from there, about a 20 min walk from the car.

(Translated by Google) A must for anyone visiting the Mullerthal Trail from Echternach. Excellent markup to get there. It can get crowded but it's so impressive that we pass over it. We took a lot of time to get a good feel for the site, don't visit it too quickly. (Original) Un must pour qui visite le Mullerthal Trail au départ d'Echternach. Excellent balisage pour y arriver. The hiking there is absolutely gorgeous i highly recommend you to go there to hike where the river was before and discover what it did to the giant rocks aside.

A very nice and relatively short trail. It is reachable by foot from the municipal campsite. There are various landmarks on the trail, like a tiny cave you can enter. There is also the Perekop, a rocky outcrop which you can ascend. There are many benches to take a rest on. There are guiderails you can hold for stability, but this is not a trail for those who are movement impaired. There are many stairs, and some parts of the trail can be awkward to traverse.

Be carefull in the summer... the temperature drops a couple of degrees as you go down. One of the two lookout posts was closed off when I was there. Path is well maintained.

(Translated by Google) Not to be missed if you are visiting Luxembourg in the Echternach region. The path is well marked and the climbs follow one another in the gorges to reach pretty picnic points at the edge of the cliff with a beautiful view of Echternach and the Sûre valley. The forest is dark and beautiful, the trees impressive. Fortunately, we didn't meet the wolf.
