😠 Really sad. All the tanks were dirty, you couldn’t see the coral for sale because there was algae all over the glass. Dead fish in the aquariums. Employee was just sitting on his phone instead of tending the tanks that obviously need help. Avoid if you care about your aquariums. People often mention fish, store, tanks,

Aaron is very knowledgeable and helpful. He's never given us bad advice on fish or corals, and has gotten our special requests filled quickly. His store is great for serious hobbiests, but he's a good source for those new to the hobby also.

I love this store! The owner is a great guy and he really knows a lot about fish and you can tell he's passionate about the hobby. He also gives quality advice that I've been able to pass on to others to help them be better fish keepers. He always has a huge variety of fish, which is really important because he's the last fish local fish store in the area. The price of fish, plants, and supplies are all very reasonable. Go check this place out and support local businesses!

I been to this store as well as every other fish store in the Eugene and Springfield area...I have kept fish aquariums most of my life and feel confident in my opinion about fish stores...This is a great fish store! The gentleman that I am familiar with is knowledgeable and kind (I assume he is the owner and operator). He has a good selection and the fish and plants are generally healthy. Some of the tanks are not as clean as possible, but not what I would consider negligent or uncaring. I attribute this to being a small business with little ability to hire additional help. The store is old and it is dimly lit and the shelves are dusty...I figure the store lighting is dim to minimize the algae growth that occurs from brighter lighting...The tanks are all lit and most fish are labeled (there have been a few that were not clearly labeled)...The store could be improved with some updates and a deep cleaning, but it isn't a bad place to buy fish and plants...Plenty of clean, modern fish stores have unhealthy fish...with unknowledgeable employees...This store is worth a visit if you enjoy smaller businesses and variety...

In all of Eugene and Aaron with the The Nautilus has the the best selection around. I highly recommend his store over pet-co or pet smart. If you want really simple fish that are sick or dead go to pet-co. You looking to get into fish? Do you already have fish? Go see Aaron in Springfield over any other fish store around. He’s got the most amount of quality cichlids, starter/feeder fish, cleaner fish, high quality featured fish, bettas, shrimp for eco tanks, and a selection for starting your salt water tanks.

I shop here as much as I can. Aaron has been awesome every time I've ever been in and he's answered all questions I've had and in the way that shows he actually knows what he's talking about and not just regurgitating canned responses. Healthy stock and a great selection of less common fish! I need more tanks so I can come here more often!

I live in sweet home and come here to buy my fish/supplies. The owner is always cool. Good service, doesn't give me the salesmen's tactic which is why I shop here. I asked what he has, what I need, etc etc and we have a conversation while we get the fish/stuff. Been coming here for a few years and its my go to. My only complaint with this place is they don't update there hours on Google when they aren't open or closed. Drove there last week, Google said open but there was a paper sign saying closed from x date and time - x date. If you see this review, please update your Google hours. I have gone to every fish/aquarium store in Springfield and Eugene and this is still the best one. Locations good. Parking is ok. Service is simple and easy. Always had healthy fish.

I purchased 6 neon tetras from this store, and they all died within 24hours. One died in the bag on its way to my house. When I called dude was totally unconcerned. He did offer replacements but I'll never put his fish in my tank again

This place has definately gone downhill over the years. Not a lot of equipment/supplies available and the tanks were not that impressive. Most of the tanks were dark and the anemones were sick looking with green sludge.. This used to be a Nice clean place with Good conversation. I doubt I'll return unless it gets cleaned up and becomes more welcoming.

I like this store. Others may not find it to their liking but the guy there is knowledgeable and usually has unique things. Other people may not appreciate the way that the store is laid out or how it's set up. I can look past that. I can enjoy the opportunity to explore some of the unique items that are there.

Kinda unkept. It looks like Dad had a passion but his son doesn’t because it could look really nice but is just kinda run down. That aside, they have a big variety of aquatic creatures and aquarium necessities.
