Got a reservation for our anniversary but were surprised about the quality of the food. Not sure if they were understaffed but my pasta had no seasoning at all, I had to ask for extra cheese and salt to make it taste better. The spaghetti was a little better but still not quite to the flavor we expected it to be. The pizza was by far the tastiest plate we had that night. The cocktail was good to with the sugar rim! Might try it again later on but for now we weren't really satisfied. It was kind of pricy but this place is more on the fancy side.

Dinner at Ambrosia was disappointing at best. They were able to seat us without reservations. Our server was not normally a server and you could tell. The bottle of wine we ordered before dinner came after the main course. The lobster ravioli had a great sauce but were undercooked. My Fettuccini Davide, a specialty of the house, had well cooked pasta but the sauce was bland with a taste of too much pasta water. The chicken seemed undercooked but unable to verify due to the low lighting. The tiramisu was very good. Not sure I would come back based on the quality of the food for the price we paid.

On the upper end of dining experiences we've had. A little pricey but absolutely worth it. Excellent appetizers and entrees, the halibut special was wonderful, is gluten free without substitution, and I've never had a better creme brulee. Wait staff is knowledgeable about which items are gluten free with or without substitution. They have gluten free pasta on request. All of us ordered something different and no one was disappointed. Coffee is also good, both regular and decaf. We'll look forward to our next chance to dine there.

In the Eugene area, one of our preferred places to enjoy a delightful dish. From the moment you walk in, the smells from the kitchen fill your mind with multiple choices of fine tasting portions. The drinks are always well mixed and there is great diversity in choice. The atmosphere is comfortable and one to appreciate given the historical furniture and design. We have always been treated with excellent customer service.

Worst Italian food I have ever had! Couldn't eat the food the seafood pasta was so fishy. Still had to pay $35 for it it. The bread was the good thing. Don't waste your time or money! Took 2 hrs for food we left there. Terrible service as well.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in my life. My friend and I brought our 3 pre-teen daughters here for a special dinner. After the server spilled a full martini on my friend, and we waited over 30 minutes for our food, we were ready to pay and leave, our kids started messing around because they were bored. There was no one else in the restaurant, but the manager came up and told us to quiet down. We had what seemed to be one of the largest bills of the night and the manager couldn’t tell us why or who told us to quiet down. The staff was nit accommodating and they were rude when we left. Not a good place to eat! Very disappointed.

A warm and unique atmosphere , premium food and great service; Ambrosia offers perhaps the finest dining in Eugene. Everything about my experience there was top notch. Would definitely recommend for a romantic outing! And I will definitely be coming back!

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Waiting for 50 minutes to finally get the dishes. I ordered the halibut, my husband ordered the pork chop. I was expecting juicy tender halibut, instead it was very dry and tasteless. My husband’s pork chop is equally dry and tasteless, and the top is burnt. We spent more than $100 for dinner and still felt hungry and unsatisfied. Will never go back. Chef needs to know that when you cook fish or any meat, do not overcook it and add some seasoning!!

One of my favorite restaurants usually... last night my husband was very disappointed because they don't have Lamb anymore. We ordered the brisket and it was pretty much extremely salty pot roast 🤔 They have changed the menu quite a bit so I don't know if we will be back anytime soon.

Very disappointed!!! I had such high hopes…… 50th Birthday dinner. The service was ok. The “7” lobster ravioli in my dish were crunchy around the edges because they were so undercooked. The sauce was the best part. My dinner didn’t even come with a salad “ that was extra” Me best friend ordered there steak, asked for it to be cooked well done. I was stunned to see it bloody…. The service, food, drinks are definitely not worth the price. For 8 people sharing 5 dishes with minimal drinks it was $580.00 plus the tip they added on to our bill.

$30 for six pieces of ravioli left me feeling violated. Food was bad and service was slightly less than average. Don’t be dissapointed like I was.

The food was just okay. The seafood pasta special had medium shrimp and pea sized scallops. The sauce was good but not worth the price. The crab stuffed mushrooms were mostly mushrooms, and service was slow.

Ambrosia was welcoming from the beginning to the end. I was greeted at the door by the owner himself and seated right away! Wayne was my server and he was kind and attentive. I chose to try the dinner special and it was so tasteful I ate it all! I over heard some regulars talking about the chocolate mousse so I opted to indulge furthermore! It was so rich and I liked the texture too! The place is so warm feeling and clean. Staff were all cheerful and I will definitely bring a friend next time.

We came for my son's 24th bday and they gave us a space upstairs where we felt free to celebrate without bothering any other guests. The staff was warm and attentive, the food was great, and they put a candle in my son's dessert - which was such a great touch because we forgot candles! Thank you!

New York style Italian with a gorgeous atmosphere, adorable antique furniture, a lot of personality and style. The owner is charming! We have gone a few times, pizza, pasta, soup, salad, none of them disappoint! Reservations highly recommended.

Amazing! Wonderful food and service. Ambrosia has an excellent wine selection. The atmosphere is very nice. We came for dinner to treat ourselves before a show and we're not disappointed!

Excellent evening with fantastic food, service and lovely ambiance. Large portions so go hungry. Great selection of mock tails too. Highly recommend. They hosted a party of 10 and did a brilliant job.

We came here tonight after a bad encounter at Osteria. The host was friendly and server Chloe was personable and attentive. We ordered: Bruschetta, calamari fritti, limone fettuccine, pizza margherita & tiramisu everything was delicious!! This place is a gem, thank you for a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to come back.

I have been going here since it opened 35 years ago. My Son & his Wife had never been, so we decided to take her here, for her 35th Birthday. She said she will never eat a Pasta dish from anywhere ever again. Quite the remark, don't you think? She & my Son had the special Seafood Pasta & I had a Pepperoni Pizza. They had the Mushrooms & I had the Bruschetta for our appetizers. They gave a us a full loaf of piping hot, right out of the oven, Rosemary Bread for her Birthday when we were leaving. Our waiter was terrific, the bartender was terrific (I kept pestering him for more water) & the food was beyond description terrific. Ambrosia never misses an opportunity of making your dining experience a 10. The beauty of Ambrosia & it's ambiance are unmatched here in Eugene. They do have an extensive Wine selection, but the tight binding on the Wine book, prevented me from being able to photograph it to share it, my apologies. I hope everyone in & outside of the area, makes it a point to dine here at least once, because it's exquisite. ♡

Took my sister there after Eugene Art Walk and ordered drinks and our meal but after 2 hours no food. Waitress told us the kitchen was under staff but everyone around us was eating. We paid for our drinks and left at 9. (There was no one in the kitchen when we walked by.)

It's absolutely perfect. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a friendly hostess and wonderful smells. Full service bar with great specialty drinks. Their food was delicious! Large portions, fresh with authentic flavors that do not come from a can. They have vegetarian options and seafood options. It's the perfect date night atmosphere for a couple or friends' dates and possibly families. They also accommodate larger groups. Walking distance from McDonald Theater with a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant.

Was in Eugene last week visiting a friend and we went to Ambrosia. Loved the historic exterior architecture and the interior ambiance. As we entered, we were greeted warmly by Armen, the owner. We decided to eat at the bar where Wayne quickly took our drink order and remained attentive the whole time we were there. We shared the gorgonzola stuffed artichoke for an appetizer which was sooo good and almost a meal in itself. I had the Spring Pacific Scallops served on a bed of spinach risotto with brussel sprouts and my friend had the Spaghetti Bolognese. Both dishes were delicious! Chef Evan made a point to come by to say hello and ensure that everything was prepared to our liking. The next time I'm in Eugene, I will definitely go back!

Great ambiance! Quiet areas for small gathering. Food was amazing. Wait staff very tentative. Portions were amazingly large. We ordered a few appetizers, and 3 entree's for 5 ppl. Plenty of food left over. Food was tasty and very authentic. Could tell the pizza was on a wood stove, so good!! Cant wait for my husband to bring the family here again!

The server was the best part. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I asked at the bar if the bartender knew how to make a proper Sazerac, it was nothing close even though he assured me he was capable. Sazerac, served neet, with Absinthe not (Pernod) with sugar cubes (not simple syrup) and Peychauds bitters. The young lady at the front counter was loudly arguing with her coworker belittling her in front of us. The coworker, an other young lady, stormed off. The food, main course, Filet, I ordered it rare, came back medium at best. Lacking flavour and salt. All in all, it's pretty disappointing. Wait! The calamri and bruschetta were done very well.

We had a wonderful dinner. Please make sure to make reservations especially Friday and Saturday nights. Chloe was are server and she was friendly, knowledgeable, and very prompt. We didn’t have to wait for anything. We had the Calamari appetizer, it was fresh and very flavorful. My husband and I both ordered the Lobster and Crab Ravioli this was spicy, creamy. I had the Panna Cotta for dessert! We couldn’t asked for a better time.

I cannot rave enough about Ambrosia. We made a reservation a week in advance and we arrived a bit early knowing we’d have to wait. The owner came over and chatted, offering us a spot at the bar to wait, and we were seated promptly at 7:30. Our waiter was David and he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the menu, and super attentive to keeping our glasses full, making light conversation, and bringing our dishes in a very timely manner despite running several tables. The food was amazing. The calamari was lightly fried and perfectly salted. The clams were fresh and delicious and I could drink the wine broth they were steamed in. We had the special, which was the seafood pasta. Noodles were perfectly cooked, as well as the scallops and zucchini. Order the tiramisu. Do it. It’s the perfect balance of not too sweet and the espresso was strong without being bitter. It is pricey but well worth the price for a special occasion.

I love every meal I've ever had here. The servers are top notch, as well. The Fettuccine Davide is excellent, obviously. But the braised brisket is insanely good. The appetizers are all incredible, as are the drinks. We had a giant group but our waitstaff kept up with every single detail, all night long. Just wow.

Our first time here after usually going to a different favorite spot. First, the positives: great atmosphere, server was very attentive, big portion of bread, desserts were wonderful. Now, the negative: the food. Was excited about the wood fire oven so we got pizza. Small (compared to other pictures posted), bland and bottom was burnt (over probably needed a quick cleaning.) We also got the chicken parm after the server talked it up and about how it was a big portion. It was not. About the same as everywhere except here you don’t get a side of pasta or anything at $23. And lastly, we did the Davide pasta. That was tasty. But overall, we were disappointed.

I made a reservation and asked specifically if they were still doing their half price appetizer menu between 430-6 as advertised on their website. I got no response except to let me know I had the reservation. This was a 60 th birthday party and I mentioned that as well. I was charged for the birthday dessert which has always been complimentary and the appetizers were no longer , post Covid half price. My pasta dish which was $35. came with a different noodle than described and no cherry tomatoes as described and just 3 prawns. A lot of pasta in a nice sauce , not as described and certainly only worth $15-18. NOT 35!!! Be prepared to be given starch for a large quantity of money and no more complimentary birthday dessert.

Food is pretty good but expensive, I'm not sure the price matches the quality/flavor. The waitress was nice and friendly but before our mains came out she cleared our table and took my dates cocktail that was not finished. At the end I asked if we could get a box for my half finished meal and the check. She took the plates so I figured they were going to box it up in the back but she came back out with only the check. I was disappointed because the food was not cheap she basically threw away like 15 bucks :(

I’ve ate Ambrosia three times now. The first time we sat upstairs and it was amazing! Second and third time not so much.. we were sat downstairs and a couple of the male workers made me incredibly uncomfortable, it’s one thing to look at someone, but they were extremely over the top! Last night, 7/2/22, we sat in the back of the restaurant, downstairs. I had a male employee walk by probably 30 times (no joke) starring at me, and then glaring at my husband! It may not sound that bad as I write this out, but it ruined my night. Seriously, let a girl eat in peace! I would talk to the owner but he was also one them, he ruined it for me the second time we went there. Again, look in a DIFFERENT direction PLEASE, not at me the WHOLE time! Maybe it’s my fault for going back a third time? The price and professionalism is thee worst I’ve seen in a while! Also, why is the consistency of the seafood pasta so different? I went back and forth, whether or not I wanted to write this, but they need to do better! Why should I hide my feelings so they can continue doing this?
