Used to frequent this bar often 10 years ago. Loved it then. Great food and a good atmosphere. As a group we decided to go there last week. Oh how things have changed. The menu was just a small portion of what they used to offer. The food was not that great. I hope the staff was just having a bad day. But they were not in a good mood, they seemed anointed that we wanted to order food. After we got our food, one of the party notice that part of there order was wrong. We they asked the bar tender about the order, the bar tender was super rude. Used to love this place, now will never go back.

Bartenders tend to only help people they know. Food takes a long time even if there not busy. Been going there to watch my husband play pool for over 10 years an they still treat me like an outsider. I miss the old staff and welcoming feeling. It is what it is I guess.

One of my favorite watering holes I've ever been to. Which says alot considering the astronomical amount of bars I've played pool in. On Sundays they host a small, low cost. ($5) tournament, definitely worth checking out. Sunday and Monday all five(5) pool tables are opened and free open to close. The rest of the week the tables are free, from open until about 9 PM or so, then they cost one dollar ($1) a game, until 2 AM. The billiards room gets closed a little earlier than the bar. They have a great staff, that's all polite and courteous. Meaning they deserve the same from you, as a patron. The food selection is limited, but good, and fairly priced. There's plenty of space inside and outside, so being social is extremely easy. Aside from the infrastructure and staff. There's a wide variety of patrons every day. It's the kind of place you can show up to alone, and even if you're not the most social of butterflies it's easy to find a relatable person to strike conversation. I highly recommend stopping in, if you e never been here.

Used to come here all the time, I guess something happened and now they have hired the most emotionally unstable 'security' I have ever met. Had 2 extremely large, angry men following me and my partner around all night while we were trying to play pool, giving us the hairy eyeball the entire time. Combined with the things I've heard about the other employees that work at this place, for my own safety and the safety of my friends I definitely wont be coming back.

Went in to get comfort food on a bad night. Couldn't get a menu for 10 minutes straight. When I got one, I tried waving down bartenders for a good while before giving up completely. It was a busy night but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. Poor service.

As of today I will no longer go to this joke of a bar while this male is working. I came in and a lady asked me immediately what I wanted without asking for ID no problem. After finishing this one beer I went inside to go to the restroom and this man who was standing there while she served me yells at me saying “ hey um excuse me, I’m still waiting to see your ID!?. I look behind me to him glaring at me, and I was like “me?” And he then says “yeah yoy.” I then said Um, she already served me.” He then says “ oh ok, I was just checking.” With the most unprofessional and rude attitude I was super confused. Like how you gonna ask me for my ID after I’ve already been there over an hour and he was standing right next to the lady that served me my beer!!!!!! Im disgusted. These people are on a power trip and it’s not ok. I will NEVER go back during the day if he is working period!!!!!

Super chill, super relaxed bar. I love how they have multiple pool tables and cheap delicious drinks. Their bacon cheese French Fries are amazing and delicious af. Best time to come would be during the day when its not so busy.

Great place for a pint and an enormous plate of cheese fries. Friendly staff and nice ambiance, the space in wonderful, with a spacious patio, brightly lit solarium, and a miniature pool hall in the back where the tables are free until late evening. One of my favorite watering holes in town.

Bartender was awesome, cool decor. One staff and a bouncer were obnoxious and lacking in rudimentary people skills. I won't return. Left after one drink over it.

Great place to shoot pool, but man do they get busy. That's fine but they can tend to struggle handling it, maybe a few more employees could help but overall a fun place.

So I’d say being in here kinda reminds me of where the old poets and Knights would collaborate with the treasure hunters and the ones who fly with dragons… the smoking outside is one of the best in town… For the bamboo dances and wind that can freely flow in the air just creates a really good chatting space… Inside you’ll will find beautiful stain glass, pool tables.. and excellent service… They even have some really good mac & cheese on the menu. It’s pretty cool…

Horsehead bar in Eugene is a cozy and relaxed spot with a lively atmosphere. The dimly lit bar offers a great selection of local and regional beers, as well as creative cocktails and whiskey flights. The menu features pub fare with a twist, such as truffle fries and poutine, and vegan options like tempeh sliders. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. The decor is quirky and eclectic, with vintage items and art on the walls. Live music and other events are frequently hosted, adding to the vibrant ambiance. Overall, Horsehead bar is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and laid-back night out in Eugene.

,Smack dab in the middle of downtown eugene!! Friendly bartenders. Great Margaritas. I love the hip atmosphere and the melting pot of people. A popular place to hang out both day and night!! Outside in the patio is the best place to be!! The parking on the street is typically tough, but they do have a parking lot. Don't forget to pay for the parking in advance so u Don't get a fine!!

Love this place! I went here alone on my birthday and I ending up having a great time! I met new people, made new friends, and played some pool. The staff and the people inside the bar were all so friendly and inviting.

As someone who has never moved out of California, it's hard for me to mingle in general. So when I got invited to this place, I was kinda nervous. That anxiety went away as soon as I walked in and took in the vibes!!! Great food and amazing drinks all around all at a great price too!! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone trying to find a good place to sit down and get a cold one from

Good service, great food and drinks, pool night is really fun! The only negative is that the bathrooms need to be fixed up a little. Overall I love this place! One of the few bars in town that has good parking and I genuinely trust the staff. The bouncers especially are great at responding to SH/SA situations. I feel more safe here than at other bars in town because of them.

Just moved back from NY. Been 3 times. One this one day, was there for 3 hours with my brother. I came back around 11pm. I ordered a drink. The guy asked if this is your first stop and said yes. The manager said no, we are not serving you. They heard my speech slurred. I told them I had a stroke (6yrs ago). They refused to serve me. Never had a problem before in NY.

I've been a long time patron of horsehead for a long time! I brought my grand parents down tonight! A great experience! JESSICA was a gem! Delightful diligent and quick, despite being in a position where the bar was very understaffed! My grandparents said they would definitely be back not just for the drinks but for the fish and chips and Mo's homemade tarter sauce!

I was visiting from out of state (Air Force Veterann from VA) and my friends and I visited several bars before deciding on this one. From our initial drink purchase the waitress/bartender was extremely rude. We brushed it off and went to the jukebox to play music. I went to ask for change and the other waiter denied me service and said he was instructed not to provide me services by the other server (who was apparently the manager). The so called body guards also tried escorting me out of the bar for no reason. The entire incident was uncalled for and I would not recommend anyone go there because of the attitude they gave.

Poor environment, awful staff, rude security, bad drinks, expensive prices. Don't waste your time, go anywhere else. Downtown Eugene has many more options that I would point you to. Seriously, don't waste your time.

👍👍 Great local beer and food spot in Eugene. Enormous selection of beer with a large rotating tap selection. There are wine and cider items available, but Beer is the star of the show here.
