I called in an order at 6:00pm tonight, was told it would be ready in about 35-45 minutes. I arrived at 6:40, and didn’t get my food until 8:45pm. I waited for two rolls for 2 hours after I was told it would be done. I know it was a busy night & I’m very understanding if something is taking a little longer than expected or if a business is short staffed, but that is not an excuse for a business to have take out orders be more than a two hour wait. If you can’t get orders out with in a reasonable time you need to put a hold on take out orders. It was pretty frustrating watching other people that were waiting in the entrance say they put in their order at a time before I did & leave before I was to get my food with orders larger than mine. After waiting for two hours, I was not given any discount or refund for the inconvenience.

In A Nutshell: -Izumi Sushi is a good place to grab some raw fish in Eugene. -They have some really nice choices such as uni, toro & bluefin tuna. -They also have salmon skin rolls, hamachi kama & chirashi. -The restaurant is fairly big & shaped like a [ -shape. Overall, its a good sushi restaurant to satisfy your cravings if you live or visit Oregon Duck Country

Wow!! Just wow!! Unbelievable! Easily the best sushi we've had. A giant plus to whole evening was the over the top great service from our waitress and a really great Whiskey Sour! Hats off Izumi! We'll be back!

Nigri is amazing. Great and amazing tentative staff. Ordered a number of Nigri. 1st round of tuna was tough and disappointing but replaced with Big Eye from HI and delicious. I highly recommend Michelle as a knowledgeable and gracious waitperson. I can be a bit persnickety in my sushi and Izumi shined!!! 💯 Recommend!!

Izumi is the best sushi place in Eugene. We go about once a month and typically during happy hour. Happy hour in the bar section has great deals on food and drink. For drinks beer, wine, sake, and mixed drinks are available. I normally get either boneyard ipa or hop valley ipa the flavors work well with sushi. For appetizers I recommend the : Tuna Guacamole or lettuce wraps. For sushi rolls: Albacore delight, sake roll, and rainbow roll

Went for my birthday and everything was great! I got sashimi and the cut were awesome, everything was delicious! The staff was super friendly as well.

Favorite sushi in Eugene. We try to hit it up for Happy Hour when we are in town and have enjoyed it every time. Great location, service, and food. Highly recommend.

The food is always good. But the service could be better. I've been three times in the last couple of months, and had to wait for order to be taken, no check up on our drinks, had to ask for bill, and no one came to our table to take our payment. This happened all 3 times. I think they need more servers.

I found this place in Eugene when I went to go visit and they have the best service and really good sushi. We have been going there now for a birthday parties and things of the sort but I will say they are probably one of the best places to have sushi because the atmosphere is so nice.

My daughter and I were here on a Monday for early lunch. We arrived around 1145 and were seated. Our waitress was very nice and took our order. There were only 2 other tables at that time, one with 3 people and one with 1 person. I ordered what is shown in photos. My daughter ordered a California roll and some noodles. I also ordered a beer. The salad and soup came for me fairly quickly. Then the main dishes came out, except I was missing my tempura and my beer. The temperua arrived when I was over half done with meal. Our sushi was not made in a way where the fish stayed on the rice and so would all fall apart when attempting to eat with chopsticks. Waitress never had returned to see if we had any needs or if our food was okay so I was forced to eat the sushi with my fingers. My daughter didn't even touch her noodles and so she sat there with a full plate of food and not once did anyone ask if everything was okay. She was just full from the roll, but the fact she wasn't considered or checked on was upsetting. My beer never came until my daughter mentioned it at the end of the meal. We asked for boxes and waited forever. When another waitress brought our bill we asked again for our to-go needs to be met, and she literally looked at us and walked away. Our waitress came again, and we had been ready to go for over 15 minutes. We again asked for our to-go needs to be met. She said she would be back and then numerous minutes later came out and started bussing a table. We left with our needs unmet and our waitress got ZERO tip on a $50 bill. We felt completely ignored. We witnessed others feeling disgruntled by their treatment of their needs as well. The food tasted good and was pretty. However it was the most poorly made sushi I've ever had. Because of the service this restaurant is not recommended. Plenty of other quality sushi in Eigene.

Izumi simply satisfies that sushi craving ~ delicious 4 star quality! (Would be 5 star, but did not have a couple regular items on the menu). Staff is warm, knowledgeable & attentive. The atmosphere is impacted a bit by the sound level reverberating at 4:30 - certainly would increase when the restaurant is full. Izumi is a clean, pleasant & local N. Eugene Sushi restaurant, with off street parking. Well worth the short drive from anywhere in Eugene!

Great happy hour prices and perfectly delicious sushi and sake! My one qualm is that the tempura veggie roll is bigger than other rolls, I mean like wide. It makes it a little harder to eat. But all in all this is a great sushi place!

The food was really good and is highly recommended. We went for dinner and it was packed but the service was good. The downside was how loud the place was. It was really hard to talk to my wife and was even hard to communicate with the server. We stopped in for food on a long road trip through Eugene. This is not the closest to i5 but is doable and for how good the food is and there was allot of parking.

My girlfriend and I ate here for our 3-year anniversary dinner. Neither of us had ever been and always wanted to try it, so we finally did, and we loved it! 😍 The atmosphere was very modern and inviting, the menu was easy to follow, and the happy-hour drinks and dining options were plenty! We shared a generous supply of sushi and gyoza between the two of us and left full of delicious food without breaking the bank. Considering the amazing quality of everything we ordered and the service that was provided to us, $50 for our date night feels like a steal. Can't recommend the Vegas Roll and the Pork Gyoza enough!

Mediocre at best, overly sweet sushi and sides drowned in eel sauce, average quality fish on the nigiri, lackluster service, and sushi chefs that just stares at you from the sushi bar until the hostess manages to see you and (if you’re POC and not in a majority white group) get sat in the far back corner behind a wall. Hah!…do better Izumis :/

Arrived at 5:00, us and one other table. Our order was taken quickly, we thought this is great we beat the rush. 5:45 asked about our order. Server put us off. We were noticing all the now full tables around us had their orders and ALL arrived after we did. Server said she would check on it. She then avoided our table, until we finally caught her and asked again and then again. Finally we left at 6:45 without ever having dinner. The server was terrible through this whole situation. Have been going there for years and put up with poor service but this was beyond bad.

Service was excellent, food was delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant. Try thier signature Old Fashioned. Very Tasty!

Excellent lunch! We split a chicken teriyaki bowl and 4 sushi rolls. Everything was fresh and great quality. The chicken bowl came with Miso soup which was delicious. One of my favorite restaurants for sushi in Eugene and the best Vegas roll!

The food was good but some of the sauces were not the same flavor as I was expecting. They were still good, so don't let this keep you from going there. I think the chef wanted to do something different and I was looking for something more traditional.

We have always loved coming here (always good food and service), but our most recent dining experience takes the cake. We came in on the night of Tuesday, June 20th. I don't remember our server's name. She was kind, genuine, and really great with our little boys (she mentioned she had four boys of her own). We really liked her... BUT THEN our youngest started choking, my husband and I seized up, and she swooped in, picked our kid up, and gave him the heimlich maneuver. So, naturally, then we loved her! We did our best to convey our gratitude and I wish I had gotten her name, but man, give that woman a raise! 🙌

My favorite sushi spot... and im not even from Eugene or Oregon! Im from San Diego, California and we have plenty of excellent sushi restuarants here. But there is something absolute superb about Izumi!! Their combination special of any three items, served in a Bento box, for $23 is a steal!! Coupled with their salmon belly sashimi is my all time favorite meal. The food is so fresh, flavorful. The service is impecible and the staff is friendly and enjoyable. I only go to Oregon once a year now, byt when i do, this is my first stop once my plane touches down!! As in tradition, tge restuarant closes between 2:30 to 5pm, so be mindful if you plan for a late lunch

Izumi has a nice location, good ambiance, and good food. The problem is, they will consistently forget you ordered it. For years now, I have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but they consistently forget our order is even placed! Today, I wanted to skip the in-person insanity and ordered online. After tipping online and arriving to pick-up (I don’t use doordash), our order was 25 minutes later than expected (I ordered 90 minutes prior). When I got home to a hungry family, I discovered half our food wasn’t even in the bag. When I called the company, they stated I couldn’t get a refund for the missing items I requested …. And then they said they “found” the bag they forgot to give me. ????? So even with proof, they said I can either come get the bag and drive all the way back or get a credit. I don’t want either, I want my time and money back. This place needs a major administrative overhaul for customer service and getting orders correct. For being in business for ten plus years I would expect better. This is the fourth time this has occurred with my experiences since 2011 at Izumi. Today was the last time.

This was our first time dining here and although it was a Friday at 5 o'clock, noisy and busy, we had a great time! 😄 It was my daughter's "Sweet 16" birthday 🎉 and she loves sushi.. We had a group of 7.. glad I made a reservation 👍 service was good and we'll be going back again.

We have been visiting this place since it was opened back couple years ago. And since then it has been one of our go to place for some treats! We tried lunch, happy hour and dinner. When we go for lunch we love their lunch bento combo, which you get to pick and choose what you like from the list of options. For happy hour, it is just food with good price! We mostly go for happy hour for sushi rolls, couple kitchen finger food. When we feel like more celebrating, we order the sushi boat. The photos are the happy hour food and sushi boat in to-go and dine in.

The e experience was amazing. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was great. Atmosphere pleasant. I would recommend too anyone.

Didn't get a Pic of the sushi cuz I was soooo hungry. Was super happy with the service and food. I always order the Vegas roll and albacore delight, never disappointed. Was a great night to have some outside seating. A lot of times if we're the only table outside we end up getting sub par service or forgotten about, but not here. Everything came out in a timely manner, which is hard to get when many places are overworked and understaffed If you get a chance. Checkout this place's happy hour menu, great value..

Not the highest quality fish nor wasabi. Salmon sashimi had a bone in it. Pickled ginger was too sweet. More of a mid-range, American-Japanese restaurant rather than a high-end sushi restaurant.

Probably some of the best sushi I have had in a very long time. Everything was super fresh, had amazing flavor, and the service was absolutely amazing. Even the price of everything on there menu is very reasonable. Me and the wife will definitely be returning here.

Spicy tuna roll was missing. The sushi I did receive was a mess - the mango tango roll apparently comes with a sweet sauce on top, which is not described on the menu. Poor value for the cost.

We enjoyed the extremely fresh fish and sushi rolls. There is a bar area as well as a dining area. The rolls were beautifully presented and tasted even better! The miso soup was the perfect appetizer for the cool and rainy day we went. I will definitely be back!
