The interior of the restaurant is open and spacious with ample seating for groups both large and small. The vibe and decor are a combination of contemporary gastropub and industrial chic. The staff was welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. The menu is comprised of elevated pub grub and hearty carnivorous entrees. The food was AMAZING. Each dish was a symphony of visual pleasures, bright flavors and sumptuous textures. Truly a pleasurable dining experience.

We came on Valentine's Night, it was so busy, but we had the best time! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! They even gave us free tapioca crisps for the longer than normal wait and offered us complimentary champagne as well. We ordered the Virgin Sangria and Rose Lemonade. Both were good but far too sweet.. We sipped on them along with our water. The salmon however was divine! We also ordered a lamb pasta that was pretty good. There wasn't any salt or pepper at the table or I definitely would have salted it. I would have asked for some, but I didn't want to bother our server.. She was so nice and doing such a good job for as busy as it was. They also gave us a rose with our meal which was such a thoughtful gesture. I also love the atmosphere and how this place is decorated!❤ would recommend, and come again.

Saturday night, new to town, decided to take a book with me and try The Davis bc it was reviewed well. Place was full so asked to sit at the bar and ordered a whiskey sour with Blanton (if you know, you know it’s worth it). Astonishingly good — one of the best I’ve tasted. Highly recommend. I wound up having another. Also ordered fresh oysters on the half shell and was quite impressed with the ginger jalapeño mignonette — so smooth and balanced it did not overpower the oysters. When the Chef’s Board came out (see video) several neighboring customers at the bar actually got up and came over to see because it was such a thing of beauty. This would be the dish to order if you want to impress. Presentation was perfect. And in addition to lovely cheese and fresh berries and fruits, there were some exceptional cooked meats, including some sliced smoked kielbasa cushioned on a bed of extraordinary, velvety grits. The five star rating comes bc I found out the sausage was house-made and house-smoked. Incredible taste. Juicy. Tender not tough. So flavorful. A must try. All in all a great bar experience…a good night and I got some reading done.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Davis in Eugene, Oregon, and I must say that Amos, our waiter, truly elevated the entire experience. Amos's impeccable service and attention to detail were outstanding. He was not only knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings but also took the time to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. His warm and friendly demeanor, coupled with his professionalism, made our evening truly unforgettable. Amos is a gem, very handsome in his porkpie hat, and I highly recommend dining at The Davis to experience his outstanding service.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Eugene!! The food was superb in flavor, presentation, and price point. The atmosphere was the perfect vibe and energy. Get dressed up or show up how you are, as a family or for two, certainly you will have an unforgettable date night. Cocktails were on point. Tasty and strong as well as visually pleasing. Not sure how it has taken 5 years to find this restaurant but now that I have it is my #1. Highly recommend!

Came in for an anniversary dinner. Started off great. Good small plates and drinks. I ordered one of the steak dishes and it was a perfect med rare. My husband seeing my steak decided he wanted one. So he ordered one too. Asking for med rate. However, when it came out it was med almost med well. He was of course upset and disappointed. He sent it back and asked for it med rare. While we were waiting for it. The head chef comes out and sits with a table and drinks a beer. During working hours, while my husband was waiting for his steak. The steak comes back and it’s rare. The head chef ends up just leaving before 9. While there was other customers ordering food and they closed at 9. My husband refused to it and we just said forget about it. Since it is was our anniversary we ordered a tiramisu to share. It was just pure alcohol. I couldn’t even it. Just overall it was terrible. Our server was nice though.

Great corner location in Downtown Eugene. Food choices are limited to one page. That said, each of our menu selections were great tasting and rich in flavor. I rated 4 star ONLY because we sat at a cocktail table, and as the evening progressed, the bartenders were extremely busy and had limited availability to provide full table service. The regular dining tables appeared to have full service. Our favorites: crispy Brussel sprouts, shrimp-n-grits, and the pork belly biscuit sliders. The cocktails were well made.

We had the oysters and big chef plate thing, and some amazing salmon and steak. The food was great, the staff was super nice and helpful, and we had a wonderful time. They even had a super-tall high chair for the high top table! We made our own kids meal by ordering just the chicken (that's would be a salad add-on) and the best french fries! We're so happy and can't wait to go back!

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch there today. The food was absolutely fantastic! The chef board was delectable. I had the ahi sandwich and my wife had the tortellini. Both were excellent. Our server was being trained (it was her first day) and did very well. Loved the meal and the ambiance, will definitely return.

Edit: Came back, almost cried the food was so good. Gorgeous, impeccable service, an excellent cocktail, lovely people, clientele was elegant. (Neighborhood still sketch but so worth it.) Get steak, any kind, both choices are fantastic (center cut and NY sirloin). Center is meaty and flavorful and the NY is tender and juicy. Creme brulee is the stuff dreams are made of.

The food is absolutely incredible, everything we ordered was delicious and share worthy, the food presentation and flavor are on point. If your wondering the the 43 dollar steak is worth it.... Everyday of the week! Would highly recommend if your looking for an upscale restaurant with artisan food. Can't say enough good things about their food!

My expectations for this restaurant were not high. Wow was I wrong. This place was amazing. I had a fantastic beet salad that was very well prepared. The scallops I had were maybe the best scallops I've ever eaten. The bed of chopped asparagus and the sauce was just incredible. Definitely stop again next trip!

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped here for drinks and dinner. Let me tell you, looks are deceiving. Most of the bartenders didn't follow covid guidelines. They wore masks but the work area was unsanitary and I noticed they didn't wash hands. Throughout the night I was asked where could I get coke around here. I mean... Do I look like a dispensary or does this type of thing happen all the time here. Another thing that was alarming was I noticed cockroaches and appeared to be mice running from the kitchen area. I don't usually post negative things for places I've been but this place has been bothering me for weeks now. I think its the right thing to do and let others know of my experience. I did leave a tip to one of the bartenders, I believe she was Latina. She was very nice and respectful. Hope you have a better experience than me but I do not recommend.

Bar atmosphere with quite good food. The salmon with mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and cranberries was excellent. Good covid spacing of tables.

The Davis restaurant is now my go to restaurant in Eugene. I happen to work downtown and it is convenient for me but the reason I love this place is the food. It’s amazing. Everything I’ve tried hear from the kebabs, Aji poke, New York strip steak, salmon, the beet salad, wings, pulled pork sliders, you name it everything has been super. I can’t recommend the pulled pork sliders enough. I had friends from out of town and they raved about it. We actually went there two nights in a row just to get the sliders. They asked me why I’ve never taken them here before. I know we will be going back next time they visit. The service is great the price is reasonable the ambience is very inviting and Tom, the owner is very attentive to everyone. Do yourself a favor and go here because you won’t regret it

Had our wedding rehearsal dinner in their back room. We visited a few months prior as a test run - they forgot to put in our order until 45 minutes after taking our order, which they immediately apologized for and then comp'ed our full check for the evening, cocktails included (which had arrived on time), which was a very nice gesture. Working with Donna beforehand, it was a bit difficult to reach her for a while, but after getting in touch, working out the details was smooth. On the night of, we were only allocated one server, which mostly worked out okay, although two would probably have been better (though I understand the current staffing issues everywhere in the economy right now). The server was a bit brusque in their interactions with us initially, but I later learned that the server was appreciative of our large group's courteousness that evening, as typically large groups are not such a positive experience for the server. By the end of the evening, they were very nice to us and we enjoyed our experience. The food was very good, even considering they had to serve 26 people at the same time! I was impressed that they were able to serve so many NY strips (not all 26, but still a lot!) at the same time and they were all perfectly cooked and at the perfect temp with delicious demi-glace! You can still hear some noise from the rest of the restaurant in the back room, so I wouldn't recommend it for business meetings, for example, but otherwise it worked well for us.

Stopped by for a meal with the family. Super friendly and efficient service. Grits and prawns were delicious and huge amount for a ‘small plate’. Burgers were great as well, thick and juicy meat with amazing thin cut fries.

Went out for birthday dinner. It was a weeknight so not terribly busy. Two waitresses offered to get us drinks. I think that is where we went wrong. Two of the 5 in our party never got their drinks even though we asked 3 times. I had the salmon. It was well made. Nice and moist. Burgers for everyone else. The area has gone downhill and seems a little seedy.

A great restaurant with delicious seasonal food and excellent atmosphere. I love love love the salmon- it’s perfectly prepared and the potato purée is to die for. They have something for everyone, including lots of small plates for sharing. Truly the best fish dish in Eugene!!

The Salmon on greens, mashed potatoes & cranberries….AMAZING. Definitely in my wife and I’s top 3 date night dinner choices. Cute place too. Just be aware of the outside homeless unfortunately.. everything else is fantastic though!!

Our large group of 14 had an incredible experience here. They accommodated us warmly, had excellent service and incredible food. We're from out of town so wanted a local gem, and The Davis was it. Can't recommend enough!!!

I went here for my birthday dinner. Delicious food at what seemed like a reasonable price for quality and taste. I did think the alcoholic drinks were overpriced for what you got. The space was nice and well decorated. I felt like the ambiance was shattered by a super loud table who had clearly had one too many. I’d definitely try it again.

Stopped here a couple times during my stay in Eugene. I’m going to say it definitely surprised me some. From the outside I thought it was a fancy place but inside wasn’t as I assumed. We got drinks at the bar. I got the margarita on the menu which wasn’t as sour as most and I really enjoyed it! I forgot what my friends drink was but it was also good! We got the sliders and crispy Brussels. The sliders were delicious, the Brussels were good but not great. Initially it was good but after a few bites they lost all flavor and just tasted like grease. In a surprising twist though, the bartender told us that the place turns into a club after they close. We had to come back and experience it. I mean it’s definitely college city so everyone was very young. As an adult, not college kid, I found having to check my purse very annoying. Guess that’s what I get for acting young lol. Overall good experience.

Loved this restaurant and bar! Visited on Saturday, 4/23 to celebrate a special 68th birthday 🎂 🥳 The beer was ice cold, the food was AMAZING, the service was OUTSTANDING!!! I highly recommend the Davis Bar and restaurant for your dinner and cold beverage needs! Trust me it will be well worth your time and effort!

Lovely surprise to find such a different and quality place in downtown Eugene. Enjoyed the place, the service, the food and drinks. I had a kebab which was delish, my partner enjoyed the mezza plate and we shared some sweet potato fries (see picture). We finished the evening with a lovely chocolate orange mousse desert. Some of the better food we have enjoyed on our adventures. Thank you for your efforts, we'll visit again.

Four of us came in for a New Years late dinner after the Oregon BB game. We called to see how late “The Davis” was serving, as we were also watching bowl games and needed to eat. We were well accommodated by “Francis” all night . She was very attentive and took great care of us. We order a number of the small plates and salads- everything was fantastic! We then stayed in the back room, drank cocktails and enjoyed the people watching show until shortly before 12:00. Food, drinks and service were outstanding! Give that Francis a raise! She went up and beyond to make our evening enjoyable - what a gem!

The food The Davis Restaurant was very good. I strongly suggest getting a side order of the shoe string french fries. They are incredible. The salmon is also very well prepared and complemented with the sides it is accompanied with. The drink menue is good, nothing special but they have everything you could think of. The restrooms were a little messy, and you can see tight into the kitchen when you walk to the restrooms. The reason I did not give this a 5 star review, is because of the homeless outside and the police having to deal with people.

I usually think of The Davis as being pretty fancy & expensive, but the food is SO worth it! The shrimp & grits were incredible tonight! $16 for 6 shrimp, grits & gravy. It fed FOUR of us as one of two appetizers. We also had the beef & mushroom dumplings which we shared. I could barely eat the smoked salmon salad sandwich I ordered for dinner. All the food was rich & delicious. I must have that shrimp & grits dish again and soon!!

I stopped going to The Davis a few years ago because I had two bad experiences in a row. The food just wasn't good at one point. I had chicken, and the texture was really suspect. Well, last week I went there for an event, I am guessing maybe they changed Chefs or something we had lots of small plates and everything was absolutely wonderful. Great food and great service.
