This place has really gone downhill. This has been my go-to bar for the last few years. I will not be back. There is a new, short guy working here who is very aggressive. I accidently forgot to put on my mask to walk less than 10 feet to the bathroom. When I got back to my table he flipped out on me. I apologized for forgetting, but that wasn't good enough. To top it all of, he gave himself a giant tip that was never approved. Most bartenders are great, not this short guy.

This place is a great bar. They serve real deal and good drinks. It does get a little crowded at time's but the staff is super chill until you misbehave. It's near a few other places to drink and eat also right next to the train station. Come check it out, you will be treated right. Please like my review, pictures, leave comments and share my reviews with others. Enjoy!

Awesome bar right in front of the train station. Great staff, great beers on tap. Upstairs has darts and a pool table as well. But the best part of all is the food. Has to be some of the best bar food in all of Eugene in my opinion. Try the steak tips you won't regret it!! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area or need to kill some time before tour train.

Great place, pool, darts and pinball are always a win, do wish the staff was friendlier. I held the door open for a blonde woman with a beanie as I was walking in, she gave me the worst glare for some reason, I passed and she went behind the bar immediately. I had my friend order first, she was brisk and quick with the two of us, and as I handed my ID to her she gave me that same glare from before, mumbled something under breath about my ID expiring this year, and threw it carelessly unto the counter. I get when people have bad days and being brisk, but being needlessly rude is another thing entirely. I don't think i'll be back for a while.

I love this place! Came to sit down outside to read and have a drink one evening. Eugene in general is a fun place to people watch, and everyone there is so friendly:) compared to Portland, Eugene is like freakin Whoville! When my husband came to meet me there, we had nachos :) they were pretty good ! It's bar food lol

My friend and I were visiting and popped in for a quick bite, their chicken tacos are SO fire. Sommer and Raegan were awesome bartenders. They entertained us when they didn’t have to and were very personable. They clearly have each others backs which creates a safe and fun environment. 10/10 would recommend!

I went to the Jackalope Lounge before the Portugal the Man concert last Friday to pre-game with co-workers before the show. I ordered the jackalope burger and waited hanging with friends in the meantime. My friend, who ordered her food much later than I did, got her food - and I was still waiting, so I went to check on the burger. I was assured it was on the way and apologies that they only had one cook. I went back upstairs and sat back down, and another friend spoke to them about it when she came inside from smoking a while later. The manager came upstairs to apologize and give my money back. He told me the runner had accidentally taken my food to another table (which is probably just as much my fault for moving all about while I was there) and refunded me for the food. He said my burger would be out in just a couple of minutes. I turned around to gather change for the pool table for a game of pool, and the next time I glanced back at the table, my burger was there! Forget the pool, I've got a burger to eat!! The burger was outstanding and worth the wait. The service I received was phenomenal, and I will return! I highly recommend checking this place out. Great vibes, good food and drinks, fantastic service!

Dope for what it is. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is cuz I think they could decorate a teeny bit more. But otherwise the staff is amazing. Summerfield is a bartender there and he’s very kind and fun to be around!!!

Very fun and interesting place to hang out and have some drinks. I love that upstairs has pool, darts, and video poker with ample seating. The bartenders are excellent and the drinks well made.

Bar Top was a bit to shiny.... I don't like seeing my reflection and will not be back to the bar. Service, food, atmosphere and general vibes were above and beyond though.

The reviewers calling this a dive bar do not understand what a dive bar is. This place is definitely several rungs up from a dive bar, if well short of pretentious. Attracts a very diverse crowd. Incredible happy hour prices. Food is hit or miss, and definitely do not look in the kitchen if you order food. Last burger I had was cooked within an inch of its life, and was pretty bad. I've had good burgers here in the past, though, so it probably depends on who's staffing the kitchen. Burger looked fantastic, if nothing else!

The garlic parm wings are next level. The real garlic chunks sets it off. Super friendly bartender. Free pool on Sunday. Good tables.

Pretty good food, but even better service. Lots of areas to mingle and hang out for extended periods of time. The bartenders are great and the drinks too.

Vibe of a 'dive bar', but it's not. Great service and atmosphere, but knocked a point off on the food this time as I have eaten here a couple time before and it's always been, 'muy bueno', however this time my burger was a tad rubbery. The Frisco had fresh lettuce, tomato and Alvarado with a fresh bun, but the burger...perhaps overdone....or frozen? I'll be back to try again, just make sure to ask for medium rare...

Great food good atmosphere great service except for one bartender who asked my date prying questions. I'm 60 my date 50 but bartender acted like I was an abusive husband and my date needed assistants. She even loaded my up with 3 + shots and put a cop on me as we left. Psycho

Weary from my connector bus to the Eugene Amtrak station, I scan the neighboring businesses for signs of life; high volume of locals usually means a reputable place has stood the trials of time, and won out. I spotted the Jackalope Lounge across the narrow street from Union Station, noticed the voluminous traffic of hodgepodge locals and travelers alike, and deduced the mythical creature of N.A. lore lending its name to this enticing lounge earned my curiosity and parched tongue. I enter and am greeted by Regan: a vibrant, bubbly woman clad in grapefruit colored coveralls and sporting perhaps the most charming smile West of the Mississippi. She tuned in me to the SouthWest Turkey sandwich on a cheddar jalapeno focaccia bread freshly delivered daily from The Bread Stop (family-owned masters of the bread in business for only three decades), and she mentioned tasty beverages to pair with this delicacy. The potato salad was homemade and tasty, though I prefer dill pickle over sweet relish. It was fantastic. I recommend the Freim lager. 5.8%ABV if you're looking for a crisp lager with a hint of honey and wildflower, or the hearty Cumulus-- a 6.8%ABV fruitiful beverage that goes down sweet, but will grab you by your short hairs, and take you for a spin. I ate, drank, and made my ancestors proud. Most importantly, I staggered onto the train, didn't miss my trip, and slept soundly on my way to Portland. This place is so good, I stopped there on my way home. Same thing minus the beer. I'll haveta bring Regan a conductor's hat to match her outfit. The nostalgia experienced in what was once a brothel for railroad workers, is ever present; the unique crowd gives one a small taste of the vibrancy that is Eugene.

Holy smokes, this place had the best energy of any bar I've been in in several years. Bartenders were amazing, owners were nice enough. :-) Will definitely be back.

Small little bar with good service and pool tables, darts and pinball machines. I recommend the BLT samich.

Love this place! Pool, darts, video games etc. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. Super friendly staff. Amazing prices and they pour real drinks with actual alcohol in them! Been coming here on and off for years. I'll keep coming back! Thanks Jackalope!

That smell by the bar is, and has been for decades, awful! I never see Regan in there anymore, that make me sad & kinda hate it now. But hey, even though they lost a great bartender, they do have pool. That smell though.... ewe!

Just what you'd expect from a dive bar.... in a good way. Strong drinks, cheap beer, interesting people watching if you sit outside. Located across from the train depot.

A super rad place! I stay at Graduate when traveling for work. Always a safe and fun place to come at all hours! Friendly, professional, fair prices with a unique, punk, artsy feel!

Hands down one of the best places to go to. My buddies and I went to Eugene for some things and decided to get some food. We decided on this lounge and honestly, I’ll make sure we go back. The second we came in the bartender/server greeted us with such warmth even tho it appeared she was working alone. I believe her name was Ragen. She got us drinks very fast. Not only was she quick but she also had the best attitude I’ve ever seen from someone in the service industry. (I’ve also worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years) the food was absolutely amazing, I had 0 complaints. The highlight was definitely our server tho, she needs a raise. She was funny and kind and made sure that we had an amazing time. 10/10 will come back.

The BLTA with side salad was a perfect as the service and attude. The bartender curated music was, hands down, the best set I've heard in Eugene - up tempo and deep featuring some amazing musicians.

Dive bar with great food, fun location and a good pour. When in town I will definitely visit. The taco salad was big, yummy and full of flavor.

A GREAT place near downtown to soak in the local flavor. Great menu, great bartenders. I feel the only downfall of this place is that the upstairs area is grossly underutilized. Perhaps a small upstairs balcony addition and small bar on busy days would help?

Who ever the bar tender was in the afternoon of 1/1/22 is an awesome person. She was handling a busy rush and then took the time to notice i was not feeling great and gave me a kind moment of encouragement and then tended to rest of the lot. It was busy and she took a couple of seconds to give a darn about this sloppy patron. And I overall in the past 6 years I've lived in Eugene, the Jackalope seems to always be staffed with genuine people.

Edited Nov 19th. Went twice this week, $1.50 tacos on Tuesday, and a proper meal later that week! Both were amazing. Love the food and atmosphere. Come here!! Holy cow. We got the Sunday special, $5 Bloody Mary. The first one my husband has EVER liked. Also pictured is the appetizer sampler and beef sliders (it actually came with 4 lol). This place is amazing. I can't believe they have only been reopened for a week!! Edited April 23rd, 2022. Always a food visit, it was parents weekend and really busy. Staff is top notch!! 😁

Nice little bar directly across from the train station!! If your waiting for the train or have a layover, an out of towner or local. This is a nice little hole in the wall to hang out!! Its a 2 story bar with good food and drinks!! Play pool or video poker or even darts!! I was there on a Friday night so it was pretty busy. The bar tender was pretty nice and my Margarita on the rocks was delicious and perfectly made. Be aware that if u decide to park your car in the daytime before 6:00 pm without paying for parking you stand a good chance of getting a parking ticket!! Just so u know!! I love that they have restrooms both upstairs and downstairs!! I have been here a few times it's small and cozy!! I read some other reviews and experiences but mine was good!! I've read other folks reviews and complaints. To each his own!! I personally didn't have a negative incident!! I had a good time So it's a thumbs up for me!!
