I love the chicken tenders here they are even more wonderful when drunk <3 truely all around a great place. And the food is amazeing. Next time i am here. I will try to get pictures :) the staff is very nice. The parking lot is big so we had no problem with parking. Also I showed up on christmas eve for a bit and they was still open too thank you so much for that you all are amazeing. Keep up the great work.

It was late on a Sunday evening and everywhere else was closed except Gateway. We stopped in and they had good music playing the staff was friendly and quick to get our orders.

Elevated bar food, laid back sports bar vibes, regularly changing taps of cider and beer, and friendly service! My favorite place to stop before or after a movie nearby.

We had a meetup group here this morning. The Waitress was great & all of our meals were fabulous, with exception of one. She asked for her Burger to be well done, but when she got it, it was super raw, not just a little raw, a LOT raw! Our Waitress said she put "Well Done" on the order, but the cook didn't pay attention. Our Waitress put a new order back in for another Burger to be made correctly & that resolved the issue, other than we were all halfway through our meal's once the new Burger was brought back. My dining partner's both said that the Steak Bites Basket with Sweet Potato Fries & a Chicken Bacon Avo Wrap with Baked Potato, were both fabulous! The Waitress was BEYOND great, attentive & when I showed her that the cook didn't follow her VERBAL & written instructions to cook my Steak bites well done, she comped them off my bill. I have NO doubt, that had my Steak Bites been cooked correctly, I would give this place full stars! My Salad was great & the couple of Steak Bites, which were cooked correctly, were very delicious! I will try this place again, in hopes that the cook prepares the food correctly next time. Totally 100%, was NOT the Waitresses fault.

Large tap selection and the food has always been top notch. I recommend the OMG sandwich. It will live up to the name. This place is pretty busy on a Saturday and Sunday morning for the breakfast. My menu pics as of August 2023.

Been in restaurant many times. Had no complaints. Ordered 50 bucks worth of food for pickup. 2 entries and 2 apps. Pic is of my fish basket. For 16 bucks I expect more. Both the mac&cheese wedges and pot stickers were terribly portioned. Chicken salad looked like a lunch salad. Would have received much more food in store and it wouldn't have been COLD. Was told on phone 15-20 minutes. My friend showed up 20 mins later and was waiting for another 10 minutes while staff helped everyone else...knowing our food was sitting getting cold.

We stopped here for a late breakfast and we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the service was outstanding and friendly. The only thing that keeps this review from rating higher is the building is old and the fixtures are worn and old and uncomfortable. Would we stop here again? Absolutely!

In town working this week and decided to check out a sports bar. This place is great. Music was good, I love the 90s. Service was friendly and quick. Food was reasonably priced. Hard to find a burger under 15 bucks anymore, mine was 11. And my favorite part is all the tvs had some different sports channel on. Something for everyone. Plus they have a restaurant for all ages.

Stopped here on my way back to Portland from southern Oregon. I was tired and didn't fell like spending a lot of time looking for something decent to eat. Spotted this place and the parking lot had plenty of cars in it so thought it was a safe bet. I was right. Lots of locals and what appeared to be regulars eating lunch and a few enjoying an early cocktail. The food was very good. I had a club sandwich and French fries my girlfriend had a burger and my mother in law had fish and chips. All were happy and it was good because I tried a little of both there food. The wait staff we attentive and friendly and generally speaking the place looked well run. Probably an indication that the managers know what they are doing. If in Eugene/Springfield area I would give this place a try. I don't think you will be disappointed

Great tasting food! Everything was just delicious with a fun atmosphere, mixed crowd. Plenty of tv’s all around to catch all the action. Did not get to try any brews but will definitely be back to do so. Do strongly recommend.

My husband & I went there for the 1st time because I wanted a cocktail for lunch. We had no clue where to eat & just found this place. We ordered Steak Bites w/ house salad & balsamic dressing, bone in hot wings, & sliders on happy hour. We also got pint size Mimosas on Happy Hour. We loved all of it. The steak was cooked to perfection🤩 The staff there were very nice & attentive. I’m excited to go back there & try more things on the menu.

Excellent food, good service. The patty melt was delicious. The cheese ravioli was shockingly good, much more flavorful and creamy than expected of a diner/bar type restaurant, the sauce seemed to be from scratch. Everything we've tried here so far has been tasty, and though it can be busy inside the servers are generally quick.

First time dining here. Loved the atmosphere who doesn't love a sports bar with tons of big screens and every game on. Food and drink specials. Every day, something different. $4 mimosas. I had the spicy chicken wrap. Soooo spicy! Great big side salad came with it. Portions were big. I had to take half home. We will definitely stop by again.

Best chicken fried steak I've ever had! The gravy was amazing and the steak was super tender with a delicious breading. There egg rolls are super good too!

Had the chicken strips and fries. The best fries that I ever had in my life. The chicken strips were amazing as well. BBQ sauce was great. Waitress was friendly but not very chatty. A little loud in the area that we were at. Prices were right in line with other places. Will be going back soon.

I came in waiting for my husband to get out of surgery. I ended up ordering my hummus appetizer to go while I enjoyed 2 amazing Bloody Mary’s. The gals working were busy, but just sweet as pie when I needed to change my order in case I needed to leave quickly. I believe their names or Kayla and McKenzie? Beautiful long haired gal, and the cutest blonde ever. Not only was the service great, the bloody Mary’s were great and I am still snacking on my hummus plate. Grilled pretzels?! Who knew! These gals sure helped me during a stressful day with their sweetness and attentativeness. Plus the food I got was AMAZING. Don’t sneeze at restaurants with amazing staff like this. I will be back for sure and recommend it to everyone. Thanks gals for making a stressful morning enjoyable while being efficient and professional. Y’all rock!

A friend took my wife and I out to dinner one night. While my dinner was mediocre, my wife loved her small steak salad. The next night we didn’t feel like going out so we ordered 2 large steak bite salad dinners. When we got back to the hotel, we discovered that we did not receive steaks as ordered, medium rare. My wife’s was medium and she was able to eat it. Mine was well done. After calling and informing Allie(sp) restaurant that the meal was disgusting after paying $53.00 she apologized and said she would refund payment. I ended up eating salad and threw the steak away. Never got refund. Worst dining experience we have had in Eugene/Springfield. Lied to about refund. Will never go back!

I went here after checking out Eugene's downtown atmosphere; and, visiting several parks on Saturday, the day after the Oregon vs Oregon State football game. I was wanting something good to eat, and have a few drinks, close to my hotel. I was well pleased with the food, great customer service, along with being a great place to relish and celebrate, the outstanding performance of the Oregon Ducks football team the night before.

I absolutely love this place. The service is always great. I've dined here a lot, the food is amazing I've only had one thing I didn't really enjoy but the fish tacos are fire and so is the mushroom swiss burger. All of their food is great quality and you can tell the cooks are happy back there making that food, cause it all comes out looking fantastic.

It's a great place. Inside was very nice, very clean and very inviting! I really enjoyed the atmosphere! They had football games on. GO DUCKS!!! The 3 of us all had something different. Great food, lots of choices and friendly staff as well!!! You should definitely check it out!!!

I have been dining here for years. I must say last night was a special experience for me. I ordered the Chicken & Rice bowl. I wasn’t feeling the chicken so I subbed avocado (oh yeah I totally did that!). To my surprise the badass cooker in the back made me the most elegant avocado rose I have ever seen. It made me feel like a rockstar when that plate hit the table. I was WOWED. Needless to say I’ll be back here a 1000+ more times. (The four stars is only because they don’t whip their sour cream. It’s a little thick for my liking)

The food here is amazing! The portions, the taste, the freshness, the prices...all deserve 5 stars. However, and it's a big however, the service is appalling. There are two servers (one is named Alex (f) and the other I think is Hannah but I could be wrong are fantastic at their job!) But the rest..... I'm really not sure how else to put it. Let me start by saying, I NEVER speak up. This may be the third review I've ever written. But the service is that bad. You will wait for anything and everything. You cannot get their attention in a polite or discreet way. You will bus your own tables. No, they are not new. They simply hate their job or hate people because I don't know what else it could be. I'm really torn between the good food and going someplace else.

A modern pub with an excellent menu full of delicious choices. I had the " Taco Tuesday " special and Poutine fries. Both were very satisfying. I will go back.

Great food and service! Our waiter was amazing, super attentive. We had little ones with us and they had some good options. Plus lots of fun beers to try and the food was tasty. And they had snickerdoodle cheesecake! Would definitely eat here again.

I don’t leave reviews for places but I want to shout out Andrew. I went in for a beer by myself and sadly was harassed by another customer in the most uncomfortable way. Andrew paid attention to what was going on and took the appropriate precautions. *I should have better words for all that but really wanted to shout him out. Thank you SO SO much.

Been stuck in town, quarantined due to Covid. Have ordered through door dash but always call in to change little things about my order. These folks are so kind and really always go the extra mile to make sure you're getting what you want. I can't wait until I'm well and can go in and personally thank the staff for being so accommodating during such a difficult time. You guys are rock stars. Best grilled cheese in town. I used to love this place but today went ordered nachos for me and friend they were not good little bit of stuff on top of chips nothing after that but chips the chicken wasn't all that good and the person who took my order made me feel like it was an imposition. I sorta get that she was very busy but still. The table in bar area had drink spilled all over it and yeah they were a little busy but I recommended this place to some friends a couple weeks ago and now I wish I hadn't. Hope they get it together soon I used to really enjoy going there

Omg this sandwich in my mouth was a wonderful experience. And fittingly enough it's called the "OMG!" I ordered this through Grubhub and it made its way to me very quickly and it was perfect just like I was there at the restaurant. The Gateway Grill is a pretty cool place but I'm here today to review this epic sandwich alone. Good job, guys. I've reviewed you on Grubhub, too! I'll be stopping in for a brew soon. See you!
