The food was great and the atmosphere is very nice. I gave it 3 star rating because of the service. I ordered takeout and the bartender/server was bland and unfriendly. The cost of my takeout $35. I put 2 $20 bills down and she brought me my food, gave me a bland thanks and left. I stood there for around 8 min expecting my change but she kept her back to me then disappeared into the kitchen. Totally ignored! At this point I was so irritated that it was either get upset and react poorly or leave so I left. I realize waitresses work hard and rely on tips but I never give a $5 tip for takeout. Plus it should of been my choice! This isn't the first time I've had rude service there but this young lady was the worst. I'll be telling my friends about my experience and it's doubtful I'll be back.

Excellent location for great food! We loved the Garlic Ranch Dressing! Everything we ordered we enjoyed! My husband had the Chicken Marsala with a garden salad and steamed broccoli, and I had the Macaroni and Cheese with a side Caesar salad! We loved eating in the loft area in the bar section of the restaurant. The ambience was pleasant and being in the bar area means no kids crying if you are looking for a more romantic setting..

Wow this was some of the best food we have had. The mac and cheese was the favorite of the group. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was nice and wasnt too loud.

3 of us for lunch. I chose this place because I am gluten free and they have many options. We all loved it. They seem to be trying to be eco friendly. Fresh local ingredients. Large portions. Delicious crabcakes. Great service with a smile. Fine for solo or groups.

[As of 9.2.2020: Unfortunately due to COVID19, Turtles & the Loft have both permanently closed.] Turtles & The Loft is a long since established American comfort food eatery located in Eugene Oregon. You can find a little of everything at this restaurant. Chicken fried steak, mac ‘n cheese, pastas, seafood – it’s all here on the menu. I’m a big fan of their house salad, which is simply made but always hits the spot. It includes beets, garbanzo beans, chopped red onion, snow peas, diced cucumber, fresh corn, and a variety of dressings. Seriously, give it a try. They also have a diverse selection of appetizers. Most of the meat is sourced locally and even the seafood is caught in the Pacific Northwest. While this is now common around the area, it’s nevertheless appreciated. They also have a creative drink menu and serve local drafts & wine. The building itself is plopped right in the heart of South Eugene, making it an ideal location for folks living on that side of town. Parking can be a pain at times, though manageable. The interior of the restaurant is well lit and has a wide-open feel, which gives a sense of inclusion and casualness while dining. This contrasts with “The Loft” which is adjacent to the main dining area and serves as a quieter and more romantic atmosphere. I’ve always found the staff to be peppy and attentive in either hall. It’s a great place for both the family or a date. I’ve been frequenting this establishment for years and plan to continue doing so. If you’re looking for a good lunch or dinner with friends or family and are on the South side of town, drop by and give it a shot. 4/5 Stars.

This is our regular haunt for a great burger (grass-fed beef!) and their Big Salad, especially on Salty Dog Saturday. That being said, we've liked everything we've tried, just impressed by their burger and by their super friendly efficient staff.

Seems like an unassuming diner atmosphere when you walk in but wows you with the food. The sweet chili half chicken was great, the mashed potatoes were good, the gravy was just alright. Service was prompt and the waitress was on top of drinks before we needs more. The specialty drink menu looked great but I did not grab anything off of it this trip. The lounge in the back with couches looks like a chill place for some great conversation over drinks as well. Definitely will be back.

I really like this place. The staff is always really on point, super kind, and the place is kid-friendly. I’ve always enjoyed the food: the salads are fresh, tasty, and generously portioned. The crab cakes were tender and well-spiced. My family has loved the food, too, and we need to go try some more of the extensive menu options.

The food here is amazing (ribs or burger recommended!), the vibe is warm and the staff is on point! The staff were all so friendly. Naomi served us our dinner and she was an absolute doll. She was super warm, friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this place!
