[As
of
9.2.2020:
Unfortunately
due
to
COVID19,
Turtles
&
the
Loft
have
both
permanently
closed.]
Turtles
&
The
Loft
is
a
long
since
established
American
comfort
food
eatery
located
in
Eugene
Oregon.
You
can
find
a
little
of
everything
at
this
restaurant.
Chicken
fried
steak,
mac
‘n
cheese,
pastas,
seafood
–
it’s
all
here
on
the
menu.
I’m
a
big
fan
of
their
house
salad,
which
is
simply
made
but
always
hits
the
spot.
It
includes
beets,
garbanzo
beans,
chopped
red
onion,
snow
peas,
diced
cucumber,
fresh
corn,
and
a
variety
of
dressings.
Seriously,
give
it
a
try.
They
also
have
a
diverse
selection
of
appetizers.
Most
of
the
meat
is
sourced
locally
and
even
the
seafood
is
caught
in
the
Pacific
Northwest.
While
this
is
now
common
around
the
area,
it’s
nevertheless
appreciated.
They
also
have
a
creative
drink
menu
and
serve
local
drafts
&
wine.
The
building
itself
is
plopped
right
in
the
heart
of
South
Eugene,
making
it
an
ideal
location
for
folks
living
on
that
side
of
town.
Parking
can
be
a
pain
at
times,
though
manageable.
The
interior
of
the
restaurant
is
well
lit
and
has
a
wide-open
feel,
which
gives
a
sense
of
inclusion
and
casualness
while
dining.
This
contrasts
with
“The
Loft”
which
is
adjacent
to
the
main
dining
area
and
serves
as
a
quieter
and
more
romantic
atmosphere.
I’ve
always
found
the
staff
to
be
peppy
and
attentive
in
either
hall.
It’s
a
great
place
for
both
the
family
or
a
date.
I’ve
been
frequenting
this
establishment
for
years
and
plan
to
continue
doing
so.
If
you’re
looking
for
a
good
lunch
or
dinner
with
friends
or
family
and
are
on
the
South
side
of
town,
drop
by
and
give
it
a
shot.
4/5
Stars.
