The theme of this place is Scandinavian and they take pride in it. The beer is good and the food is great. I recommend trying the shield maiden which has is a crisp saison beer with raspberry. For food the smorgasbord is ideal to try several different things. The best food item I tried was the flat bread.

This was our first time here and we will definitely be coming again. We got two beer flights so that we could try everything in draft. Both of the fruit saisons were well balanced and delicious - our favorites! But all of the other beers were great too. And the food… oh my gosh! So tasty. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got a smorgasbord. The bread and honey butter, delicious. Meatballs and mashed potatoes, delicious! Everything was perfectly seasoned and portioned. The dining atmosphere was laidback and we had no trouble getting a table on Friday night. Next time we will bring our pup and sit on their dog friendly patio.

Stopped by the Viking Braggot Southtowne Pub for the first time today for lunch. Had an amazing fall infused aqua it with an Equinox Fall Saison. They paired perfectly together! We shared smothered fries and the frikadeller (meatballs). I'm not a fan of horseradish, but luckily the horseradish dill sauce wasn't heavy in the horseradish. We also had a sampler platter and enjoyed everything on it as well.

Great food, drinks and atmosphere! Fabulous smorgasbord sampler tray, Danish meatballs, beet fritters, flatbread and dip. Sandwiches and wraps were delicious and the side of mushroom soup fantastic! Our server was attentive and we had a wonderful meal!

Scandinavian Comfort Food!! Came here a few days ago for my MIL's birthday. We had planned to take her somewhere else but the place was closed when we arrived. So when we got back in the car we were looking up other places, since my MIL is a foodie we knew she might have some places that she wants to try and when we asked this was the first place she mentioned. Once we pulled in we sat in the car for a second to look over the menu and after looking it over I was ready to eat. We got inside and we're immediately welcomed and sat at a table. In my pictures you will see just how big the space really is. Main seating in the front then a huge seating area to the back by the restrooms and then seating outside with tree lighting and coverings. Beautiful space and such a welcoming environment. Once seated we looked over the menu. As I've stated in other reviews, if I've never been and they serve burgers that's my go to because if they can make a delicious burger that doesn't taste like everything else and stands out, the rest of the menu is just as delicious if not better. I found myself torn between the Nordic Wrap and the Berserker Burger. After going back and forth I finally decided on the Berserker Burger and for drinks I ordered water and a non-alcoholic viking ginger ale. The ginger ale was different but it was about the experience. I think personally for myself I'll just stick to water or get something else that's non-alcoholic. However this didn't sway my review or experience as the food was spectacular! What I ordered: Non-alcoholic Viking Ginger Ale Berserker Burger-1/3lb beef and brisket patty, havarti cheese, sautéed mushrooms & onion jam, Carlton peppered bacon, romaine lettuce, tomato, and burger sauce with seasoned fries and a side of fry sauce. Will definitely be returning and I highly recommend them if you haven't been!

Comfortable atmosphere indoor and out with great food, beers and aquavit. The Goat Horn pizza was amazing along with the frikadeller (Danish meatballs) and smothered fires. A Eugene treasure on the South side of town.

Will definitely come back next time I’m in Eugene. Great staff; friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Appreciate the suggestions on both the Mead and Aquavit. Even my dog enjoyed herself, and she’s definitely a most discerning customer.

We came down to visit some friend and chose Viking Brewing to try for the first time. I loved the meatballs, rye bread and cucumber salad.

Great experience overall. Great service. Great food, try the beet fritters if they have them. They have a dog friendly patio, and they brought a bowl out for my dog without me needing to ask.

Everything was great! Service was wonderful and fast. Loved the bread and sauces, salad was tasty (especially that dressing) and Pickled cucumbers were my fave. Everyone had a great time. Lots of options that I couldn't pronounce, lol. Overall, I'd definitely come back.

Good food and a cool chill atmosphere. Our server was amazing. We will definitely be back. Aquavit and beer and cocktails were all really nice. I highly recommend the flat bread and toum.

The food is well prepared, and nothing too fussy, so you can focus on the delicious drinks. I know some folks who love their beer, but don't sleep on the delicious cocktails. Excellent service, really nice atmosphere indoors, and heat patio in nicer weather. Definitely sad I did not go more when I lived in Eugene.

A wonderful surprise. The cheerful and attentive staff are great. The food is excellent and a treat to the pallette. The price point is low for the taste sensation you are treated to. A gem that will be frequented frequently. A+++

Food was good, drinks and service were great, and the bathrooms were the cleanest *nicest smelling* public restroom I've ever used, like how does that happen for a bar?! My husband and I stopped here while on a trip to scout new neighborhoods to relocate to...this place sealed the deal for Eugene!

A great meal! Burgers were fresh and cooked perfectly. The fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside...delicious! And the Kale salad with crisp sliced green apple and nuts was amazing. We will definitely be back. Compliments to the chef and our server was welcoming and friendly.

Great food and I loved the mead selection. Friendly staff and outdoor seating. Try the smorgasbord! It was a great way to sample all of the food and it was all so tasty!

I just ate here tonight and had one of the wraps with fries on the side. This food is DELICIOUS! This was the perfect place to eat out for the first time in over two years. I'm a picky eater and I still loved it, so you know it's awesome. They also have some gluten free options too, btw. Anyway, I highly recommend eating here. The chefs are amazing at what they do and all the wait staff I spoke with were all very kind. Excellent food, excellent service!

Nice setting, good beer menu, excellent food menu(not your standard pub fare), staff attentive(but didn't seem thrilled to be there). Prices are the high side.

Toddy’s and appetizers and soups all so satisfying. Our first time with Viking dishes and we will be going back for the food, drinks, and the relaxed and classy atmosphere.

OK experience. The food was average and the wait staff was average as well. The employees didn't seem to care too much and nobody checked after our food was brought out..... might have been nice to have a little extra katsup. Nice setting and vibe. Not a place I would recommend if you want a quick burger and beer.

Great food and brews. They were busy, but we were quickly taken care of, and all the food came out fast. Highly recommended if you want to try a little different type of ale, or want some delicious food. A+!

Great little pub in the heart of Eugene. They have a great selection of craft beers on tap, kombucha, and other libations. The food choices ranged from the standard pub fare of burgers and fries to some more interesting items such as the mushroom patties. Everything was prepared excellently and delivered by friendly and attentive wait staff. They have outdoor seating in both the front of the pub and off to the side. We met some friends there and had a great time! Would definitely visit again!

Great menu with awesome food! The Sampler platter was an excellent way to try several dishes. The Bangars are smoked to perfection! The ScandiWrap was delish and we washed it down with a shot of the Linie Aquavit!!! We will definitely be returning!

Fantastic flavors. Unusual beers and drinks. A fun Norse theme. Honey in everything and then Scandinavian notes like dill, caraway, beets, smoked salmon, capers, coffee, unusual liquors, bitters, beer reductions...

Amazing dining experience. Our server, Austin, was very attentive and made great recommendations. The mashed potatoes, Berserker burger, and slow roasted chicken sandwich were to die for. We will be coming back based on the great service and delicious food.

My husband was raised as a child in Sweden, so he really enjoyed seeing the Scandinavian extensive beer, mead, and very interesting mixed drink selection which is like one I have never seen. Many of them are in nature, more like medicinal tonics, with ingredients like bitters and lingon berries, honey, and blackberry! The drinks were fantastic, but as we are both vegan, we would love to see a bit more selection for plant based food. We both had the vegan burger, which was our only choice, but great!
