** contains edit / update at bottom ** It's a long road coming down I-5 from Tacoma. However, leaving at 4am to drive down to Eugene is exactly what my roomie and I had to do for an appointment. After an early excursion and a painful appointment, Toshi's Ramen turned a long dredge into a delightful adventure. When we first arrived, the cashiers and chefs were busy tending to various things. It's always nice to see a ramen place like this thriving and keeping busy. After peering over the menu, my roommate and I ordered: she had the Miso cha-shu (extra spicy), and I had the Shoyu Wakame (spicy) with pot stickers and a drink for the both of us. After paying $40 (tip included), we sat down and waited for our meal. It wasn't long before the Ramen was delivered. I need to highlight how fantastic of service was here. The staff was energetic, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The food, as well, was delicious. Lightly spicy with a heat that tickled without becoming overbearing, and an umami flavor that made you feel comfortable and at home. Mixed with that, the down to earth borderline rustic environment of the shop felt wonderfully inviting and made for an incredible shared meal that stole away the conversation as my roommate and I ate with gusto. The flavors were full bodied and well rounded as expected from your normal umami flavoring, while being fresh and not overtly saturating that soul food tends to be. The freshness was something that really stood out to me, and that was reflected in just about every aspect of Toshi's Ramen. The facilities were impeccably well kept, the flow of the store was smooth even as it picked up pace and became crowded as my roommate and I ate, the staff were alert and aware at all times, and the food was fresh. I deeply enjoyed my small experience here, and it left such a good impression that I'm sitting here in the parking lot writing this for a solid 20 minutes because of how good my experience was while another 3-4hr trip looms over the horizon (almost literally). Thank you Toshi's for being such a great place to eat, and I look forward to coming here again! [Edit Jun 3, 2023] yeah, still the best Ramen place and arguably the best restaurant experience I've ever had. The energy, the food, and the atmosphere all come together for a truly unique and delightful experience. I genuinely can't recommend this place enough. [Edit Oct 12, 2023] It's become a tradition with my roommate and myself to stop by here before heading back up towards Olympia because of just how good the food is here. Whenever my roommate and myself visit Eugene, eating here is a must. Consistently a delightful visit.

We were in Eugene for a night and wanted to try the Ramen. We searched for a place around us and came through Toshi's Ramen. It is a small ramen cafe with a seating space. We ordered Butter Garlic Ramen. We got our order in 10-15 minutes. The ramen was hot and spicy. We loved the ramen and it was delicious. It was amazing. Amazing ramen cafe. We will try the ramen again when we are in Eugene. Loved it.

This family owned business has the best ramen in the city. Seeing Toshi in the kitchen and Jun assisting with our order (first time here for all of us) - high quality of customer service and helped us order to our own personal liking. There is limited seating but that’s what makes the atmosphere a homey-feel environment. It was a 40 minute wait for our to-go order but found a seat (for 3) so we decided to stay and eat in the restaurant. Wow!! The ramen was fresh and delicious. Miso soup (veggie broth) was a comforting as it was cold outside. They accommodate to other peoples preferences if you don’t eat pork like myself . I enjoyed this place very much while I visited this area. Thank you!

This place is SOOOOOOO good!! 🤤 Honestly, if you’re looking for some flavor rich and authentic noodles, go here! As soon as we walked through the door, we were hit with delicious scents! We got the Miso broth with cha-shu and shoya broth with the seaweed option. Our one year old at the pork that comes in the noodle soup and noddles. Oh, and gyozos. I would say the place is not big enough for large groups or multiple families. They only have one large table. But it’s great for little families or date nights! We loved it so much and we have been living here for only a month at this point and this place delighted hardcore. Super happy we decided to go here and try it out.

Meh. Going on a cold rainy day, I really wanted to love Toshi's Ramen but their soup fell flat for me. The pork was literally cold in my bowl, it wasn't grilled and not flavourful at all... and then there was the corn. I just don't know what to say about corn in ramen. It is definitely not for me, it's sweetness cheapened the soup. You have to pay extra to get Wakame (seaweed) and hard boiled eggs aren't offered. I don't think I'll be back.

This place has super good food and some of the best customer service I've experienced anywhere. The man working the front counter ( named Jun) was extremely engaging and has natural people skills that can not be overstated. We had 2 of the three broths, and they were both excellent. Pair that with handmade noodles and fresh, great tasting ingredients, and you've got a real winner! 10/10 would recommend. I will return!

Wow!!! Talk about delicious food! Genuinely amazing with an enthusiastic team of folks who made this such a great dining experience. The restaurant is small, so be prepared for a little bit of a wait during busy times. But just grab some sake and hang! It's worth it!

Man this place is crazy good. Best ramen I've had in a long time. The spice was perfect and I got the extra spicy. Toshi is genuinely the nicest guy I've seen in the food business. Keep it up!

Incredible. Top quality everything. Service was top notch even during a super busy time and the food.......I can't even, it's heaven! Edit: this is to give the cashier/host 5 stars. Honestly just wow. This is my second time here and he immediately recognized me (with a completely different haircut and with my wife on my arm) and even brought up stuff we talked about while I waited for my to go order on my first visit, just wow! He was impressive and 5 star rating enough on his own.

Delicious! Gyoza was the best I've ever had. I got the shio broth and my husband got the miso. Both were delicious and not overly salty. (ps. spend an extra 50 cents and get the butter, it's worth it)

Oh my goodness!!! It’s the best ramen I’ve ever tasted! So good. Reasonable prices. Just wish the place was bigger. And wish I could afford to eat out here every single night.

So incredibly delicious. Can't believe we found such a sweet spot and dogs allowed on the porch. Ramen was great and priced very reasonably. Cannot wait to go back for more and to see all the great staff. Thanks!!

Great service and food! Clearly a business that has been well managed with happy employees and customers. Best customer service I've had in a long time and we got there an hour before closing!

Amazing food and seriously incredible service. Jun had great energy and made everyone in our party smile. Definitely a perfect person to be the welcoming face of this restaurant!

Not quite to our tastes. It's alright for a smaller city I guess with not a lot of Asian food choices. We're spiked by the wide range of great ramen places in Los Angeles so while a bunch of reviewers rates Toshiba as 5 stars, we beg to differ.

Love, love love Toshi's Ramen! Always delicious and competitively priced, which keeps customers coming back. Their noodles are one of a kind, and their vegetarian miso is great.

Was meh, definitely not the best ramen I have had. Very bland broth And pork was tough I ordered the Wakame bowl and it just wasn’t hitting like traditional ramen spots, especially having tried spots in New York and California…

When did Yoshi's open, '98? Hardly seems possible. I met Toshi when I and a business partner had our own restaurant, The Bus Stop, A Diner. He was to be opening soon, and he did, and he stayed open; even unto this day. Delicious food. Dumplings,. Cha sha, Teriyaki Chicken. Go for it. I, for one, cannot wait to return.

Guy behind the counter had a great attitude and he was so enthusiastic. Made me and my partner feel good about being there. On top of that, food was affordable and delicious. Had gzoya and shoyu original ramen. Look forward to going back to try other options. Thanks Toshi's.

Wonderful food! Teriyaki chicken with a side of mixed veggies was my meal. But, the ramen is what brings people in. Small dining area, there is seating outside also. Low key atmosphere with outgoing/friendly staff.

I love ramen in general, and this place is a venerable, long-standing institution in Eugene. They truly stand by the quality of the food they serve. As an example, they usually have amazing matcha green tea, which has been hard to get lately. They could serve a substitute, but they haven't found a product that is to their standards and so they just aren't serving tea for the time being. Everything Toshi's does rises to those high standards, and it shows.

Very friendly host. Made us feel comfortable right away. The only comment I would make would be how long it takes to get your food. But it's worth it for the quality and the taste. The host was very open to questions and information all because it was my husband's first time. Delicious!

Staff is great and knowledgeable. Ramen is good. The pork slices are not my favorite therefore 4/5
