Pungent. It might not be obvious to everyone but my nose is sensitive and I smelled rot. I'd hate to see their walk-in. When I used the facilities I saw the brands on the boxes, NOT organic as they claim. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with this kitchen nightmare. The entire place is filthy, it's shocking they get away with it. Just dirty and smelly. The people seemed nice, most of them at any rate. As long as I don't get food poisoning from my croissant I'd say the good almost evened out the bad. I also had a coffee, nothing special, Denny's is better.

I've been going to New Day Bakery for over 15 years. Food is always tasty and very fresh. Dishes are always consistently prepared and portions are generous. They have a very large menu, so there is something for everyone. Outside of prepared dishes, they have a wide selection of baked goods. New Day Bakery is open for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. All items are available anytime of the day. Staff is nice and curious. I'd recommend New Day Bakery highly. Update- Had another Avacado Salad today. Portions seemed a little smaller. Maybe they are cutting back, not sure. Still very good and fresh

I was advised to come here from a coworker. I was looking forward to it, but my experience was awful. I ordered my food and the server gave me my food. But as I started eating it, a lady from the kitchen ran out and said they mixed up the orders and took the food they had served me and gave it to the person who ordered it then brought me my correct salad. A minute after I started eating again, I found tiny clear worms crawling through my salad. I brought it to an employee who laughed it off, didn't apologize, and refused to comp my entire lunch. I left hungry, grossed out, and not feeling like a valued customer. A lot of people, especially older Eugene natives, love this place and their bread looked fantastic, so I'm sure my first and only experience was a rare oddity. Nevertheless, it was a terrible experience, and I will be filing a dispute with my bank for being charged for such an awful time since the employees were unwilling to make it right themselves. :(

Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch; trust me I came for both on the same visit! Fresh bread and pastries every day. Service was quick, friendly, and very helpful. Also a great coffee hangout; inside seating perfect for that rainy day, the patio was sunny for me and let me kick back and relax! Make sure to check out the daily specials, it surprised me!

A comfortable neighborhood place that obviously has a lot of regulars. Beautiful, airy space for indoor seating and a big patio too. I was just there for a snack and a place to do some writing, but they have a generous menu of full meals too. Many pastry options, both sweet and savory. I will say that the blueberry scone I had was just average - more of a cake-like texture than a scone - but the homey atmosphere and attentive, friendly service more than made up for it!

Cammie was the best with communication. Messaged me back every time I needed to talk. Explained what I was wanting for my grandsons birthday and they nailed it at New Day Bakery!!

Great local sport for breakfast in the Whittaker Neighborhood. Just the right amount of quirky. Even with a wall mounted menu that's not terribly easy to interpret, the staff is helpful and they'll be happy to walk you through options that aren't even on the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Fun food options and good coffee. Annoying that coffee refills are a dollar while you're enjoying a meal, but I have to believe this practice is in place because a free refill program was throughly abused at some point. Still, it's an annoyance. Can't think of any other breakfast joint in town that embraces this practice. If I didn't like the place I'd still be stoked with the clearly labeled gender neural bathrooms. Why can't these be adopted more universally? This sort of positive action makes me believe they're likely great community partners in a host of ways I'm not even aware of. Just makes me want to continue my support of the establishment. (Five stars, but the additional coffee charge is still a burr under my saddle.)

This is a fabulous breakfast-oriented eatery that would be perfect in my mind for any meal of the day, as long as a breakfast burrito or omelette or pancakes etc. is what you had in mind. I loved my juice drink (and they have a full range of drink choices), and their bakery provided me the perfect dessert. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Highly recommended, and I look forward to a return to Eugene and to this excellent restaurant.

Not a bad place, decent food, somewhat bland, you order upfront, and then they bring your food to you, which is OK, but not the same as a full service café. Also, you only get one cup of coffee, would’ve been nice if we’d been offered a refill. It should be noted that there are lots of vegetarian options. Of course being in the Whitaker the parking situation is horrible. All the staff seemed OK, polite, but not friendly, which is OK. My family is British so I’m used to people being reserved.

The staff, owner and manager are my all time favorite bunch of people to work with and for. I was very impressed with how fresh their ingredients are, as I worked in the kitchen. Top notch, most charming, friendly place ever with delicious food and generous portions! Way to go guys.

When you walk in the door the smells of fresh baked pastries attack you. Breakfast was good although my oatmeal was a bit watery for my taste it was incredibly fresh, with an add of brown sugar and blueberry topping it filled me right up.

Always a pleasure and joy. Their day old section is wonderful, and lunch is stellar. Highly recommend just chilling and listening to the piano players that come through.

Huge selection of food to chose from. Huevos rancheros weren't stellar but not terrible. Breakfast burrito was fresh but again nothing to write about. Mediocre meals in a larger space with a energetic amount of nice people.

The restaurant is casual, no waiters, you stand at the cash register and order from the menu on the big chalkboard and take a flag to your table and they bring the food to the table. The food is pretty good. Not the best in the world. They have a bakery on-site and it's fun to purchase a few muffins or cookies to take home for later.

The vibe and environment is so nice and welcoming and the staff were really nice. The food was good and priced well. They have lots of baked goods and pastries as well as breads/cakes. Indoor and outdoor seating too!

I was spending teh day in Eugene and was like "oh cool a bakery". So we got our way over there and 1. it's gorgeous. I love the inside, the outside, all of it. 2. the food is criminally good. I live in a little town with one terrible pizza place because there's no incentive in them trying harder because it's either eat their ketchup on crackers level pizza or go without pizza. We got a pepperoni pizza and it was sublime. I cried when I ate the last slice because I was 4 hours away at that point. I can't just pop in. I am very happy that you guys seemed really busy, because I really hope that your neighborhood knows what a treasure you guys are.

What's not to love? In the heart of the Whitaker, this hippie organic restaurant has amazing food. Slightly overpriced in my opinion, but it's consistently good food. Their coffee is amazing! They have a lovely courtyard to sit in with umbrellas. As always, it's a great experience there

Always joyful coming here. Love the food, never feel weighed down after eating here. The pizza is perfect and delicious! Relaxed environment, clean and just so pleasant! Would share a picture but devoted everything before I could.

The poppy seed bread is great. There are plenty of seatings both indoors and outdoors. You can see the inside of their kitchen.
