What a nice walk right in the middle of the city. I wish the trail looped all the way around but it was a good one-way walk. Might wear better shoes next time for the muddier parts of the path. I’ve added some photos from a summer visit.

My kids and I love to go on a walk here. One of the places for parking behind Valley River Center. Only downside with that parking is there is no bathroom except across the river or in the mall. Always some sort of birds or other animals around. What kind of wildlife will you see?

This is a very pleasant city park with a nice level path that winds back along the East side. There is ample parking, but no bathroom facilities. If you enjoy birds, ducks, & geese than you’ll have lots of opportunities to bird watch. The traffic noise isn’t too bad considering you are right near the highway. The park provides great views of native plants and animals.

This *absolute gem* of a place is easy to walk at for people with disabilities! and not far from the multiple tiny parking lots to access! beauty all around. and an albino duck lives here! nice place for short walks or to sit near the animals to feed them or have a picnic on a nice warm day. can be an adventure to walk in the rain/colder months as well! top 3 fave parks of mine.

Much improved trails. Just wish they went around the entire pond system.

Delta Ponds is SO beautiful! Especially in the Spring! Trails, bridges, wildlife, flowers, beautiful trees and more. So far, the homeless haven't invaded. Tons of turtles, fish, birds, ducks and more.

A beautiful place to walk and relax and commune with nature. You feel like you are not even in the city. If you want a quick secluded walk that brings you back to nature, walk no further. Delta Ponds is a beautiful nature preserve worth your time.

It is a nice walk with some nice small platforms for viewing. It seems to be a nice space for bird watching but I do not do a lot of that. The 3 stars come from the fact that you cannot escape the road noise. There are other places close by that are much more peaceful. The trail is not very long and has not yet been bridged to make it a loop.

Beware local unhoused individuals may occupy the restrooms for significant amounts of time especially in the evening. Otherwise, very quiet family friendly place. Lots of wildlife and many opportunities to catch photos of variety of birds Oregon is home to.

This spot is very close to Valley River Center off Goodpasture, convenient for a lunch break nature walk or jog or bird-watching while waiting for someone who is shopping or at one of the dental or doctor offices nearby. You will see turtles, nutria, Great Blue Herons, geese, ducks and their babies, and other water fowl, along shaded trails with several viewing platforms and places to sit. There are two small parking areas and the northern one has 2 porta potties. Nice spot for folks with young kids in strollers, or folks who are differently-abled, as northern part of trail is a wooden boardwalk out to a viewing platform with safety railings and places to sit.

So peaceful here. So much wildlife & photo taking opportunities here. We just couldn't figure out how to walk the "loop" which is shown on the wooden map that overlooks one of the ponds. We walked until the trail literally ended in a field, so we turned around & went back the way we came. That certainly was not happiness, but other than that, we enjoyed it here immensely.

Really beautiful tail system connected to the river front park/corridor. Great place to walk your dog or ride a bike. It would be nice if humans didn't throw so much trash on the ground. Be responsible for your garbage people!

It might be right across from the highway but it's actually a rather Serene place. The outer paths are always changing with the water level and flow. There's some beautiful opportunities right in the middle of town for bird lovers tree lovers or just someone looking for a nice quiet jog at the end of the day. Minimal homeless activity.

Near our house. Very nice and quiet place. Parking is always available. One of the best parks in town. It is always quiet and you can hear the voice of nature everywhere. There are high trees everywhere! It can take 1-1.5 hours for a round trip but the trail is very easy and can fit for everyone including people with physical challenges. Do not recommend to bike there as the paths are narrow and you can endanger yourself and other walkers.

A nice little area for observing critters. Blue Herons, Egrets, Box Turtles, Nutrias, Frogs and Ducks! Even saw a juvenile Cormorant yesterday drying it's wings. Bring binoculars or a telephoto lens as most of the area is only viewable from the bike path. Also, beware of Poison Oak in the area that isn't fenced off.

We have walked around this area several times, sometimes a short part, or a few times all around the ponds. They’re working on finishing it up so you can’t really take a full loop right now but hopefully soon. We saw birds, nutria and turtles. One log even had a turtle and a nutria sitting together.
