Very fun museum. I was very afraid this museum would be a bore for a 6-year-old who is hyperactive. But they had many interactive exhibits and a very child-friendly environment. Joan was the star of the visit! Her tour skills and knowledge made the visit amazing. I must see for any aviation fans. ❤️

A hidden little Eugene gem! I can't believe how many people don't know this museum is here! We travelled from Montana and had our teens pick out what they wanted to do. They both agreed on this one. We brought them and their friend and all were interested in the tour and the exhibits. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very nice! Thanks for the tour!!

Great airplane museum staffed by very informative staff! Spent a couple of hours touring the two "hangers" and still didn't see everything. Took two young grandsons with us and they were allowed to sit in several of the planes on the floor. Will definitely go back again!

Oregon Air & Space Museum is a hidden gem located directly south of the Eugene Airport. You will find amazing airplanes and learn interesting history related to all wars since the inception of the airplane. They were kind enough to host my dad's 100th birthday party. He has been a volunteer there for over 40 years and still volunteers to this day. Please stop by, learn amazing history, get up and close to their planes, and enjoy the people who volunteer there. Don't feel shy about donating money to the museum as well. Every dime goes to a great cause.

Small, but jam-packed with wonderful stuff and a lot of details you won't find in most larger museums including an incredible collection of scale model aircraft documenting the history of flight. If you are an aviation buff there is more than enough here to keep you occupied for hours. With friendly and knowledgeable volunteers on hand and a low cost of admission, the Oregon Air and Space Museum is a must-see destination.

Excellent little museum with eager and knowledgeable volunteers. Very small, with only three full-sized aircraft, including the Shenyang J-5 (MiG 17) a Douglass A4, and a Grumman A6. Fantastic model collection. Definitely deserving of an hour or two.

The staff here are extremely knowledgeable and very approachable. They know fun facts about everything in the museum and will answer any questions you have. It is a really cool place to go if you have some time. Also the gift shop has some really cool models if you build them. Make sure to ask them about the man who made all the models in the display cases.

I took my wife and son there today. Such a cool experience! They have private and military aircraft from several different eras on display with plenty of placards to give explanation and history. They have an engine that can be electrically driven along with a piston/cylinder you can crank by hand to show how it works. My little one got a kick out of that! The volunteers that work there are knowledgeable and friendly. A great experience for a cheap price!

Very interesting and diverse aviation exhibits. Volunteer was extremely knowledgeable and we could have spent more time if my legs hadn't gotten tired.

We're locals who made their first visit here along with some out of town family members. The grandkid loved that she was allowed to sit inside a real tiny jet airplane and a couple experimental aircraft, as well as a tail hook carrier landing game. The docents were all pilots with thousands of hours of flying experience, including a gentleman who served in the US Air Force in Korea and Vietnam and a British air woman. They graciously shared their time and experience, helping interpret and direct attention and add stories. The two buildings are stuffed with as many exhibits as they can fit in, and some exhibits are yet to be documented and interpreted... at least a dozen aerial photography cameras with immense lenses, for example. The big heavyweight craft are A-4 and A-6 US Navy carrier fighters, accompanying many other museum scale replicas and a huge array of scale model airplanes, navigation and radio equipment. The space side of the museum does not have much in the way of actual space hardware, but does have a lot of models. There is one piece of space junk... an early Gemini service module gas pressure sphere which flew in space, reentered, and washed up on an Oregon beach some time later. Fortunately I live close by, as I need to make more visits back here to truly appreciate and explore the details stuffed into crannies that there was not time for.

Arthur was a great guide. Full of knowledge. Thank you! Liked that a few planes you could even sit in. It allowed you to see how the different steering mechanisms work.

Really great opportunity to interact with planes on the ground and volunteer staff is full of information and enthusiasm. They encouraged our young child to touch and interact.

Learn about the wonders of the history of air and space flight, with many original, replica, and model aircraft, filling two hangars and some outdoors. The volunteers are amazing, fun to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately, they have very limited hours. I'd plan to arrive at opening and stay until closing.

Fun to see all the old aircraft and the best models anywhere!
