I’m surprised by the few people who complain about the decor because I think it’s super fun and funky. College-themed, yes. Because that’s the theme of the brand!! While this is a USA-based chain, each location feels bespoke to the town it’s in; always a college town and therefore the decor reflects the locations. Eugene does this well without - I think - being kitschy. It’s different, yes, but in a good way. I particularly appreciate the level of craftsmanship that some of the decor represents like all the pencils that make up one wall in the coffee shop. I stayed at the property for a conference and the only things I can find to complain about are the lack of coffee makers in the room and the small size of the pool relative to the size of the hotel. It’s so small it could have just been a hot tub. Feels an afterthought. Otherwise, great stay!

Rooms are charming and unique. The property is heavily themed as expected to Oregon Ducks. Staff are friendly and beds are comfortable. The best amenity is the air conditioning which dropped to 55 over the standard 68 in hotels. Location is decent proximity to town and campus haunts.

There are some awesome things about this hotel. First, our group participated in the golf simulation center and it was very fun. The furniture in the general lobby, bar, and virtual golf lounge all are beautifully selected and the look is wonderful. It appears that a lot of time and energy went into the design and presentation of this hotel. However, I did not give five stars because my room experience was sadly substandard. The bed sheets were extremely rough and almost felt like fine sandpaper. The tub in the bathroom drained at an extremely slow rate, which lead to ankle deep water within a few minutes. Overall, I was pleased with my experience at the hotel but I do have reservations about returning for an overnight stay.

I’ve stayed in several Graduate Hotels and this one is consistent with the high quality of the line. This one is my favorite having a child as a running professional. I loved having read Shoe Dog and seeing some of the history come alive. The staff was attentive and friendly and the room decor is so unique and the rooms are quaint. Mine had a great view of the city, too. And the hotel was in the perfect location for us to wander town.

Stayed here for a work trip. Pros: The front desk person was friendly and helpful when I checked in. They have parking under the building with unlimited access during your stay, which was great. But the bed was comfortable. Cons: he room looked and smelled like it needed a deep cleaning and some updating. I had a musty odor and there was no air floor. I couldn't open a window and the bathroom didn't even have a fan! The mini fridge was in a cabinet under the TV, and it sounded like it was on its last leg. The shower tiles looked like they needed a deep cleaning, also. And to top it off, there was a mix up with a fire drill that was highly disruptive and chaotic. For the price, I was hoping for a bit better experience.

Decent hotel in downtown Eugene. Probably the quickest check in process I’ve experience, just good, quick service. In fact, customer service was great all around! Lobby is really nice. Room was a good size, however the bathroom had some rust in the tub, and the room was a bit dated. Also, the college/frat theme can be a bit overbearing if it isn’t your thing. It was fine and kind of cute for me, but something to consider. Also they charge an $18/night parking fee, which is admittedly a pet peeve to me. You are a hotel, if parking costs $18/night for a guest to park a car in your garage, you should just add that to the daily rate. 90% of your customers are going to have a car, so the price should reflect that. Or at least mention the fee predominately during the booking process. Again, this is a pet peeve for me for a hotel, and I have the money that it really doesn’t matter to me, a surprise $18 isn’t going to matter in the long run. But it just seems scammy to only mention it at check in and spring it on people. There are people where it would be a big deal, and hell, if I was traveling for work and it was sprung on me I might very well be out of pocket.

I went to college in Eugene and we go back at least once a year to visit. We have always stayed at the Hyatt Place (which we love) but decided to give The Graduate Hotel a try this past weekend. We were very disappointed. The location is excellent but other than that, we were very disappointed. First of all, it is $22.00 to self park but the parking garage isn't controlled by the hotel. We didn't know that we had to keep our parking receipt (most hotels allow you to exit with your room key) and so when it was time to leave the parking garage, we were told by the hotel that we would have to pay an additional $22.00 to leave. We asked the front desk who referred me to the valet team only to be told that they didn't control it, so unfortunately we would have to pay another $22.00. So, we ended up paying $44.00 in self parking. Also, we were excited to watch the Cowboys/Eagles football game in the Trophy Room only to be told that their cable provider, Dish Network currently doesn't carry Fox. A basic channel that you shouldn't even need cable to get, the hotel bar didn't have that channel. So, we went down to Steelhead to eat, drink and watch the game. Lastly, the water pressure in the was horrible. I know the building use to be an old Hilton Hotel and they did a great job updating the lobby area, but the rooms are still pretty dated. Very dark, horrible water pressure, only one night stand in our room and the toilet took a while to flush. The beds are very comfortable though. Unless this hotel makes some changes and does some more updating to the rooms, we will not be staying here again when we visit.

Okay I stay literally at hundreds of hotels every year and this place is on the top of my list. I really love the idea of a in for the hotel. It was really cool and was followed through and the time you walk in all the way into your room. Even the little details really amazing. The rooms for Atlanta pointed and very nice and had all the menus you could ever need. Your spacious as well. The lobby is very inviting in the staff and very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the neighborhood.

This was our first time visiting Eugene and it was for a wedding and the hotel was recommended to us. The hotel did not disappoint because we had a great stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked questions about things nearby and how we went about getting the free bike rentals they offer. We loved that they offered free bike rentals so that we could explore more of the city with the nearby bike trails. The hotel also has many shops and restaurants nearby that you can walk too and we just enjoyed getting to explore the city. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We also, enjoyed the the room decor and the decor of the lobby. Overall, if I was going back to Eugene I would definitely stay at this hotel because you cannot beat the location or the price!

I love the Graduate. I’ve stayed here twice each time for an annual conference. Love the character and charm of the hotel. Bedrooms are clean, spacious and have fantastic facilities. Beds are very comfortable. Staff are accommodating, professional and kind. Highly recommend if you are staying in Eugene. Great bar and restaurant too.

Had a fantastic stay in Eugene largely because of this Hotel. Made my trip stress free. From the easy parking, to the delicious meals in the Trophy Room. Location is center to everything central Oregon. 5 STARS DId I mention the pillows? Over the top!

I travel a lot for work and have stayed at Graduates in other cities, so I didn’t hesitate to book a room at this location while working in Eugene. The lobby is nice and the location is convenient. The valet staff was awesome. But everything goes majorly down hill from there. The building is very outdated, dirty, the AC barely works, and the rooms feel more like a Holiday Inn had a child with a roadside motel. I get kitsch but I do not understand dirty bathrooms and carpets. We stayed in a king deluxe suite. The first room we got smelled like an ashtray and was 80 degrees with the AC blasting. They quickly switched us to another suite, which we opened the door to and another guest was also booked for that room. The front desk staff was not super helpful and acted like we had done something wrong. I have no idea how this is a 4 star hotel and do not recommend you stay here if you are expecting a typical four star experience.

Totally quirky! If you have stayed at a Graduate Hotel location, you will know what to expect. This is my third visit to a Graduate brand hotel and the Graduate Eugene is definitely the most unique, quirky of the three Graduate Hotel's. The hotel building and facilities are very clean and well maintained. This is an older, mature property in the heart of Eugene. The location is, in my opinion, the nicest attribute of the hotel. There are numerous dining and retail shopping opportunities within walking distance of the hotel. The Graduate has an on site restaurant, which looked like a fun, pleasant atmosphere. However, after viewing the menu, my colleagues and I decided it was a little pricey for us, and had dinner off property at an excellent hamburger establishment. As is the case with all my Graduate Hotel stay experiences, this hotel has a strong sports theme throughout. The guestrooms have more of a dorm room theme and motif. After two separate visits to this hotel, I found the guestrooms clean and comfortable. The two items I disliked about the guestrooms is the absence of a clock (i still prefer a clock in my room) and the very dark, wood paneling that is part of the college dorm room decor/look. The hotel lobby was very lively and active on both of my visits. The limited interaction I had with hotel staff associates was pleasant. If you enjoy sports, miss your college dorm room and need a convenient hotel in Eugene, you will appreciate the Graduate.

We decided to spend a night in Eugene as part of a longer journey. The staff were so nice, even when there was a bit of confusion around our reservation. We had our dog with us and it was seamless. The beds were comfy, plenty of pillows, and the decor in the rooms was clever. I would absolutely stay here again. My kids had such a great time we are looking at other cities with Graduate Hotels to visit!!

I reserved 14 rooms with my personal bank card because I was told that it was only up hold the rooms and that when I arrived I could pay with our company card. Our school chose to stay at the Graduate because we were attending a conference that was held there. I made sure to fill out and submit the card authorization form using the company card before our arrival as requested. When I arrived Sunday I checked in to verify that the correct card was on file. Monday when the rest of our staff arrived they were asked to put their card on file for additional fees made to the room and then were charged for the cost of the room and the incidental charge of $200, totaling $800. The front desk was eventually able to remedy the situation. Then come check out time, Friday, another staff member was charged the $800 and I received a bill for 4 rooms with my personal card number attached. I went to the front counter again to get this resolved. The workers were all very kind but unsure of how to resolve the situation that they had nothing to do with in terms of scheduling or financing. I was told they would work to resolve the situation. On my way home I noticed that I had pending payments for 6/14 rooms totaling over $4000 on my personal account. Again, I had to call the hotel and my bank to make sure that this transaction was not submitted and ask again why this wasn’t transferred to the company card that was on file for payment. The hotel was able to reassure me that they were able to place a stop on my account and that the correct card would be charged. But the constant back and forth was ridiculous. Other takeaways-our room’s AC was not great room 606 and smelt muggy. There’s no fan in the bathroom so no ventilation which doesn’t seem like a great idea. Room keys only get you to your floor, which I’m sure is due to safety, however, you can still get to other levels from the stairs. We traveled with 25 adults all on different levels and had to take the stairs to go to one another’s rooms. We wanted to play the human foosball that they have added to their conference hall seating area but come to find out it’s through a separate company and has to be reserved a week in advance which also seemed silly for those of us from out of town.

I stayed here for one night. I checked in super late and when I opened my room it reeked! It was coming from the bathroom. It smelled like someone urinated on the floor and didn’t properly clean it. The toilet bowl had black stains on them so who knows how long has it been since this room has been cleaned. I had to pinch my nose as I was brushing my teeth. It was disgusting. I let the front desk people know and they were apologetic about it and offered to move me to another room but I was only going to be in the room for 14 hour so I just closed the bathroom door and sucked it up. I woke up with a terrible headache.

Really enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to the amazing Eugene Saturday Farmers Market and craft fair. Staff were efficient and courteous, rooms were carefully decorated, and we enjoyed the duck theme (U of O mascot), BUT BEWARE of the parking time limit!. We were charged an extra $22 for 12 minutes of parking "overtime". However, the hotel general manager has refunded that money back to me. Mr. Rogers, thank you so much for your excellent customer service! It is a rarity in today's world.

I booked this room online for our wedding anniversary. When checking out a pop up informed me I could upgrade to a city view. I thought this would be a great surprise for the wife. When we got to our room we had a wonderful view of the Hult Center from our room on the 4th floor. I called the front desk to complain and they informed me there was nothing they would do and that this was a city view. You just have to look at the end of the windows to see it. They said they wouldn’t do anything to make me happy. That’s why they are getting this post. Do not upgrade to a city view. And maybe this will save others the 40 dollars to upgrade. Or maybe save money completely by going to the Gordon down the street.

Folks, book here. Such nice people. The people who exemplified service to me include Dustin, Noah, Brooke, Josh, Aida, Elaina S., John D, and Gatley. Thank you all so much for fantastic and personalized service. I'm thoroughly impressed by my stay because of these people and the nice lamp in my room. Thank you!

I had an amazing at at the Graduate Eugene. The staff were so friendly and chill. Dalton from valet is an awesome young man. He suggested areas to visit near the hotel and ensured I knew where to park. My room was just the way I wanted and included extra pillows. Very clean. The hotel is located near a lot of attractions and businesses. Lovely environment. Safe.

Love this brand! And they stay true to their reputation. Room ac wasn't cooling, stopped at the front desk to let them know that. By the time I went back to my room ac was running and a note to let me know who was there and that the issue was taken cared of. Always a good experience, no matter the property, they are consistent.

I have sent this hotel 3 emails and filled out a contact request form on the website over the last couple of weeks trying to ask a question and have not received any response. I cannot call them because I’m out of the country currently and I am surprised at their unresponsiveness. Maybe a 1-star review will prompt some kind of action to check and respond to emails?

$600 for a room that smells funny and then they actually charge guests for drip coffee in the lobby. Looks nice from the outside but in the hotel its really not very nice.

Room is a bit dated and dark. But the overall experience was wonderful. The staff were excellent. Their attention to the customer is unsurpassed. Must say we have never had hotel staff so attentive and polite in all our years of travel.kudos to all of them. The Trophy restaurant had good food and the atmosphere was nice. Would have liked to see a full breakfast option instead of a grab and go. This is a hotel that we will definitely stay in again!

The bed was very comfortable, I really liked the dark wood paneling in the room it made it feel very cozy and it was nice and dark. Graduate hotels are always fun with their decor and I love getting to stay at new ones. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the coffee at the Poindexter cafe in the lobby was great. I highly recommend this if you want a new experience from a hotel rather than the plain white minimalist crisp hotel rooms that you find in most hotels.

Didn't make it past the lobby, didn't need to. To know what kind of place it is and what crowd it attracts. At first glance it's absolutely immaculate, generally a good sign. The very short interaction I had with a staff member was pleasant. They didn't appear overly offended by my presence which is always a plus. Not sure how well preserved the day today service is. If the service is half as good as the hotel looks it will be worth every penny to stay there.

Good decor and service. Room doors do not seal well and let in tons of light and sound from the hallway. Air conditioner did not work well and wouldn’t cool room sufficiently even in mid-October. Kept cycling on and off constantly and never could get to the set temp. Have to sleep on top of covers so I don’t drown in sweat overnight. Bed pillows felt like they were filled with mashed potatoes and immediately squish down flat and don’t support your head at all. Bed itself was fine. Bathroom vent is either not present or not functioning. Shower humidity and bathroom smells accumulate and saturate the room when you open the door. Seems like they spent a lot of money and effort on restoring the hotel to look cool, but need to put more of that into the bones of the building.

We chose The Graduate Eugene for our wedding room block and the staff there went above and beyond to make not only us, but all of our guests feel so welcome. The valet was an absolute gem and so very friendly! As my best friend went to get her keys to drive me to the wedding he said, "I didn't realize you were driving the bride -- no charge!" Seriously made us feel so special. We also had another amazing experience when a staff member had tables and chairs brought up from catering so that the hair and makeup team could set up and get the bridal party ready in our suite. Overall, they really just wanted to make things easy on us and make sure all of our guests got the Eugene experience. GO DUCKS!!!

First the pros: I liked the decor and the theme of the hotel also the staff is great. The bed was comfortable, the location is perfect, and I loved being able to check out bikes and play Foosball. However, the bathroom is awful. The water gets scalding hot and takes ages to cool down, there's also no fan so the room gets pretty humid, and during our stay we ran out of shampoo and body wash almost immediately. Also we were told there would be no housekeeping but then at 9am they knocked on our door. 9am is too early for housekeeping. Overall I'd probably stay again though.

I've attended several conferences here and the experience is always pleasant. The staff is great, the spaces are comfortable and the location is excellent! There are many nearby restaurants and activities in downtown Eugene and it is within 2 blocks of the train station. Overall, a great venue for a conference or a weekend getaway with the family.

Great hotel right in downtown Eugene. Clean rooms and nice amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby and restaurant bar area has tons of character. They have only one charger available for EV charging which is poorly marked and so most of the time we were there, gas cars were parked in the spot blocking access. When we finally were able to charge there, we discovered that the charger itself barely works.

My first stay at a Graduate hotel and it will not be my last 😊 front desk staff was phenomenal. The room decor is so fun and really makes you feel at home. The view from the rooms are also incredible, and there’s a Dutch Bros 5 minutes away. Who could ask for anything more??

Really liked this hotel. The room decor is really cool with all these retro artifacts incorporated into everything. The food was great. The Cobb salad was huge and crab chowder was excellent surprise. Staff was always immediately helpful and professional. Everything was better than expected!
