This is a great hotel with friendly staff and a very convenient location! The first room we had smelled like cleaned cigarette smoke so we asked for another room - the front desk worker was super friendly and had new room keys for us right away. The new room was perfect for us and very cozy. The location of the hotel is right next to the Alton Baker Park so you can walk a few feet outside of the hotel and go for a very nice walk along the water. We walked through the park to get to a few spots in downtown Eugene and had a wonderful time walking for hours every day. The room was very clean and everything organized very well. We also used the pool and spa which were both clean and towels well stocked. Overall a very great stay and experience for us in Eugene. Thanks so much!

I stay here 1-4 times a month for business and the cleanliness of the rooms is declining fast. My last visit was appalling and the last straw for me. I will be taking my business elsewhere for my nights in Eugene. Everything was covered in dust and grime, greasy hand prints on the door and mirror, stains on the bathroom wall and shower curtain (which smelled horrible), the air system was filthy and was covered in dust and pet hair, the bed was in horrible condition, the pool room was grimey and scum covered. It was a level of filth that made it difficult to relax in. For $150+ a night, I expect A LOT better than this. The one positive is that the customer service has always been really good.

The location is great, the park across the street is easily accessible, and there is plenty of parking. The staff has been very friendly. The rooms are clean but outdated and have a funky smell but I figure that’s a given with older properties. Breakfast was not the best experience. Some lady came in with her two beagles who were jumping up on the counters with their front paws. It took staff some time to ask her to leave. There is no oversight about who comes in or uses the breakfast bar, and it did not feel safe for me with my toddler. Room service is only available every four days (this is during a post mandate stay on 4/25). Overall good place if on business trip and just needing a decent place to sleep.

I had to give this 5 stars because of my check in with Brian and the view and comfort of my room. The hotel is in a great location with a park next door. There seemed to be plenty of parking and the view of the little waterway from my room was relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again if I come back to Oregon!

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed in a lot. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was outstanding and your kindness too. They didn’t charge for my three dogs because they believe if you’re going to be pet friendly, you’re pet friendly all the way to 100%. They had carpet in the rooms and of course I picked up 3 cookies at the front desk they leave out for your dogs and us human delicious chocolate chip cookies when they go on break and I believe they all go on break at the same time and day. That way they all get to visit and congregate I guess and figure out work plans together. plans. They aren’t gone very long maybe 20 minutes they do not leave you out of the loop that’s for sure. They didn’t charge for my three dogs because they believe if you’re going to be pet friendly, you’re pet friendly all the way 100%. They had carpet in the rooms and of course I picked up three cookies at the front desk for the dogs that they supply, and when you know it, two of them went to the restroom on the carpet I offered to pay the extra charges they would not take it. They said that would not make it pet friendly, they said, but when you leave will get housekeeping and maintenance on it immediately. Whoever manages or owns this hotel can be very proud of themselves. We are also in the hospitality business, and now I know who to call for the best advice. I love the way you manage your hotel you really do have it going on. Thanks again, Osa Pondarosa, Cagney the Criminal, Monkey Cuddles, Jonnie & Patrick McCoy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We stay at this location several times a year and it is usually a good experience. Today, however, I went to wash my 10-year old’s clothes, as we have been traveling for a week. I dumped all of her clothes into the washer only to then notice it had 6 inches of water in it. So did the other washer. I asked the crack staff if they could help in any way. He said no. Not their machines, owned by a 3rd party. I then asked if he could help me out and wash this load of wet clothes in their washer, then I could dry them in their coin-op. His answer was “Unfortunately, I have no authority to operate a washing machine.” Welcome to 2023 folks!

Good place to sleep. The coffee maker in my room was missing a vital part, probably an oversight. Otherwise, good

Room not clean. Signs of mold in the ceiling. Water would not drain in the shower. If you want to charge high fee you have to offer what other hotels provide as well.

Great hotel for traveling with dogs. No extra fees or weight restrictions. Clean, quiet and perfect location for what we needed. Amiel was awesome! Helped us register for the rewards program and accommodated our needs for dogs!

Stayed twice while visiting family in Oregon. Easy airport access. Staff was very welcoming and efficient. Rooms were clean, quiet and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable.

This was a great place to stay! The beds were comfy as far as hotel beds go, they had a really good breakfast as well. It was the lowest price around and well worth it.

Rooms were decent, wish they would upgrade to smart TVs. Location is great. The breakfast was kinda sad, "strong" coffee was not, OJ was mostly water, scrambled eggs were reconstituted.

Checked into a room that reeked of mildew and mold. Was moved to a new room. Then was disturbed by staff dispute the do not disturb sign being on the door. Staff is pretty rude and amenities are outdated and dirty and the toilet clogged. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Finding a reasonable parking spot was a nightmare. The spaces are too small to accommodate a normal sized car or truck, so everyone had to double park. The bed in our room was broken, it sagged in the middle so it felt like sleeping in a pit. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. The location of our room was terrible, right next to an elevator, really? The room was definitely not worth over the $200 we paid.

Overall, exactly what we were looking for, with a nice park next door for morning walks. Also, comfy beds and the ability to open windows to get some fresh air. Front desk and customer service were very helpful with some minor issues with our room/stay that could've been much more difficult if the staff wasn't so helpful to us. The breakfast is pretty standard, but it also has better than average variety. From instant oatmeal to fresh fruit, bacon, biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles etc. We stayed 2 weeks and overall, it was a relaxing place to come home to, with a larger convenience store downstairs and ice and vending on every floor. Will stay here again, but we never asked about the parking deck below, and found outdoor parking very limited. If you stay ask about the deck, as we will on our next visit to this property.

Next to the park and some water but a big tree is in the view making it less than 'advertised'. Quiet so far. 3rd floor windows are super dirty with a lot of spider webs, including the spiders. Makes the view even less than ideal. Lobby is overcome by the indoor pool and its damp chlorine smell that greets and stays with you as you walk 100 feet down the hall to the elevator. Paid total of $192 for a Thursday night. Not a good value but 'Okay'.

Great breakfast! Great rooms, we love la quinta. They accept our cat no sweat. My boyfriend loves the pool. Beds are clean and comfy. The parking garage underneath was pretty sweet, loved loading in and out down there. Elevators are SLOW.

Vehicle damage- no camera footage. We visited Eugene to purchase a car, that same night, we parked in their parking garage that has plenty of light and security cameras. The following morning, the car parked next to us had a busted-out windshield and found that the rock used to bust that windshield hit our car very hard and damaged the body badly. We were disallowed to see footage on their DVR of the parking garage and we filed a police report. We don’t feel confident that Eugene police will pull through, nor in time for the footage to be recorded over by the time something comes of it. It would at least be nice to have footage for the sake of insurance helping us out and seeing what happened. Other than this, the stay was good with clean rooms and very comfortable beds and pillows. Staff was otherwise friendly but offered zero help for our damaged car. I agree that it’s just our bad luck but they had no interest in helping. Update response to the reply: A police report was filed because the hotel staff offered no help in the first place. Update 2: Eugene police has zero response to report that was filed. La Quinta offering support would have been far more helpful for the sake of being able to file an insurance claim. Hotel staff could care less about the safety and security of your property regardless of having security equipment installed.

Wife and I stayed here back in November 2022, and again this time in June 2023 From the time we checked it was an awesome experience. Brian was very friendly, professional, and personable. He is definitely an asset to the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool area was well maintained and clean. Your staff do an amazing job keeping the property nice and comfortable. Thank you for making our stay awesome. I will highly recommend you to everyone. The breakfast was awesome with all the delicious food offerings. The breakfast area was well maintained and clean.

We choose la quinta as a very last minute stay when we got evacuated due to a forest fire. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and the rooms were very large and clean. Driving into the area my boyfriend asked me if we were staying in the ghetto but as we got closer he commented on how the area the hotel was in looked nice and safe

Very nice hotel. Rooms were nice, breakfast was delicious and they have a 24 hour pool and workout room. Breakfast had warm food and it was all available at 6am. Hotel is right next to a big park which I walked to in the afternoon. Staff were very friendly. I came for work, so I'm not sure what the daily rate is.

Very clean hotel. Had a solid two-night stay while traveling with my dad. Staff was friendly enough but not intrusive or overly talkative. Pros: Clean common areas. 24-hour pool and fitness center. Dog friendly. Free dog treats and coffee in the lobby. Front desk upgraded us to a suite with no charge, even though we had a dog with us. Free breakfast. Vending machines on every floor (drinks only). “Convenience store” with lots of snacks open 24/7. Within walking distance of downtown Eugene and tons of walking trails. Cons: Very uncomfortable beds. Very little amenities in the room (soap, snacks, etc). Homeless people sleeping in the parking lot and by the waterfront directly next to the hotel. Rooms only cleaned every 4th night so, if you are staying for awhile or even a short time, very sporadic cleaning of the rooms. Overall, giving it 4 stars for an affordable stay in a lovely city.

Night Audit and reservations were amazing. I don't do bad reviews. After 10 years working in hotels I've never seen or had a worse customer service experience. I will be finding beer outlets than google to write a more detailed review. Hope to hear from Samantha

This location is only two blocks away from Slocum. Incredibly easy. The location is very clean and we did not have any kind of problems with people hanging around or sleeping in the bushes like some of the other places have a little bit closer into the college. The rooms were very nice and comfortable except that the beds were a little too soft for me and the pillows were a little bit cheap for the pricey room rate. I was scheduled for surgery and it made it extremely easy to just pop over to Slocum get checked in and complete my one-day surgery day!

This La Quinta was a great find. We were traveling with our dog wanted a nice hotel that was convenient to downtown. This turned out to be perfect. Downtown was an easy walk across the river. We were very happy to find that the hotel is right next to Eugene’s trail system and parks. We walked all over. Our room was clean and had a view of the river. The hotel was clean and breakfast was fine (standard hotel fare). We would definitely stay here again.
