The room was filthy and looked like it was being patched together. That is not the worst part though. The worst part was the damaged and exposed electrical everywhere. There was exposed wiring inches from my bed that I didn't even see until after I slept in the room. Literally went 2 motels down and got a way nicer room for less. I can't believe they would rent out a room like this. I didn't even want to ask for a new room because I do not trust the safety of this place. Absolutely ridiculous. I called the health department by the way guys. So unsafe.

stay away from this place. Rude people, did not even say hello ! asked for my credit card straight away ....room's door did not shut properly or lock from the inside,..kind of concerning cuz let's just say it's not in the greatest neighborhood and street level entrance.... the guy blamed the hot weather for the door frame getting messed up. beds were too small, probably not even twin size as advertised. just really bad service. borderline rude. for $150 per night, you can find a much better place I'm sure

I made a reservation last night through the hotel website, but never received a confirmation email. Finding no evidence of a reservation, I thought that I might not have completed the process, so I made a reservation this morning along with another room for my mother. Didn't get a confirmation for that one either, so I called the number on the website. The guy at the front desk answered the phone and confirmed that I did indeed have 3 reservations. When I asked if he could cancel one of them, he told me I needed to call whoever I made the reservation through. I explained to him that this was in fact the number I called. He began berating me, saying that this was the hotel, I needed to call whoever I booked through, hotels.com or whatever. I tried explaining to him again that this was the number on the site I booked through. He couldn't seem to understand that I made the reservation though their website, and began yelling at me to call whoever I made the reservation through. Thinking I needed to contact a parent company, I asked if there was one and he could give me the number. He just kept yelling at me to call whoever I made the reservation though. This is when I lost lost it; we needed a couple of rooms while we are in town to bury my 14 year old nephew, and I didn't need this kind of rudeness. I told him I wanted to cancel ALL of my reservations, but he just still kept yelling at me that "You called the hotel, this is the hotel, you need to call whoever you made the reservations through!!!". Then he hung up on me. So after a bit of googleing, I find that American's First is part of Red Lion Brands. There is no phone number to call about reservations. You can modify reservations if you have your confirmation number, but they never sent me one. I submitted an email on their customer support page, but that's the only avenue I have to communicate with them.... that, and the hotel phone number. I'm not calling it again. I'll pay twice as much NOT to stay there ever. EDIT: addressing the owners replay to my review; once again, I made the reservation through the actual hotel website, NOT a third party. The ONLY number listed to call on the page was the number to the hotel. Get your reservations website squared away and stop yelling at customers.

NEVER, EVER, NEVER AGAIN!! If I could give it negative stars I would. Don't bother booking online because you'll be paying a lot more when you get there and when you've left the amount charged to your card will not be what he tells you in the beginning.

Great service, friendly people, basic continental breakfast, refrigerator, microwave, free wifi, affordable pricing, quiet atmosphere, but shady area. Wouldn't want to walk around there at night.

I travel all over for work and always hated going to Oregon. This place made me think otherwise. Mom and Pop operation, sweetest little older lady in the office, rooms are older but very clean with a few updates, for an overnight or even longer was absolutely perfect. Clean, quiet, respectful. Would absolutely go out of my way to make sure I stay there again.

A little dated but clean and you can park your car right in front of your room. The water pressure here is good and hot, the linen is clean and smells good, the rooms were very clean and the air conditioning was nice a cold, overall pretty good! The tv was a bit small but of a good quality with HD and it was a Samsung.

Nice that they removed the carpet but it sure made it easy to hear stomping on the floor next door, especially when theyre fighting and arguing all night long. Slamming the door going in and out smoking all night. We finally just got up and left at 330 in the morning!! On the upside, i could see my vehicle right outside the window.

Checks all the boxes! This is my new go-to whenever I stay in Eugene. Clean, good door locks, good beds, good linens and towels, and hot water. Very quiet with lots of nice cars in the parking lot. They even have a little gym! Management is very nice and responsive. Within short walking distance of some of Eugene's top-rated local food like Sweet Life Bakery and Ubon Thai.

Due to plane delay, arrived late. Called hotel (had confirmation number etc.) Nobody picked up phone. Tried repeatedly over 2 hours and finally gave up. July 27....now will be billed $200.00 by hotel for NOTHING. This is not a well run place

A 1 star hotel is a hotel where I use my own towel to dry off after my shower. A simple rule of thumb but hard to argue with. I wasn’t pleased with the front desk service either. I am writing this retroactively because for some reason it would let me leave the review the next day.

VERY basic sort of room. Was okay for a quick, one night, just a place to sleep, no frills place.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It's hard to find a place where I'm able to bring my dog and they were able to accommodate us. Will definitely visit again.

Nice room but Bathroom smell bad, even after housekeeping cleaned up. Smells like the pipes underground busted or something And Flies kept showing up out of nowhere in the bathroom probably from the same place the smell was coming from, even though I would kill them

This is a wonderful little hotel. Rooms are clean and warm, the parking lot is well lit, and the owners are very kind. The grab and grow breakfast even had an organic banana! Great value stay in Eugene, OR.

I stayed for three nights. Bathroom has mold, bugs and hair were in the tub. Fitness center stayed closed and unavailable. Breakfast (continental) not available until 8am.

RJ & his family are AH-MAZING! The location may not be in the best part of town but, we always felt safe. The parking areas were VERY lit up & the spot in front of my room was always available. They had a continental breakfast of (🍌, breakfast bar, snack bar, and cheese horns w/coffee). They also had clean laundry facilities available. Another bonus was the property being pet friendly. THANK YOU again RJ & family for making our stay so easy & pleasant.

It small, clean, and cheap. As quiet as it can be downtown, so trains and the noc crowd.

Very nice and clean! They show a lot of enthusiasm and trying hard to be a great 2* hotel/motel. Would stay again.

The room seemed very overpriced for a tiny, dingy room with a piece of floor trim leaned up against the wall. I think the prices were higher than usual due to a festival going on in town that weekend, but it was nowhere near worth $200 a night. Friendly staff and close to restaurants, but thumbs down on the value.

I really had a good stay. Stayed for 4 days, the room smelled great. Like the extra amenities such as a refrigerator and ironing board.
